When you say that you was confident in dead cells and the 1BC with 4 flask. I though he has already won but when i saw the bow and daggers without shield and the fast pace to drink flask. It took me by surprise
I have the same problem with isaac as with enter the gungeon. Both games, although they are really good and addictive, but too much rng base. Sometimes the most skilled player dies because instead of something desirable he gets only shit, and the weakest guy, oneshots boss because in the first crate he found the best item in the whole game Killed by a planet means you took so much damage that even the game itself can tell what killed you
in Isaac rng takes alot of place in the game, beating delirium on hard without any Q4's is really really really hard. but in ETG nah, whatever shit you get, if you are good, you just beat the rat and win the game.
In gungeon there are very few forced hits at least from what I've encountered. A super skilled player might not get the perfect combination of items/guns but they won't get hit and will eventually kill the final boss. It's mainly the less skilled players (like me) who benefit from the rng of getting a god combo and one shotting the boss.
Every game you mentioned can be extremely consistently beat if you're just good. There are people that do eden and tainted lost win streaks up to HUNDREDS of runs and win no matter how "bad the rng is" same is for risk of rain, if you have proper strategy and use everything to your advantage you can consistently beat eclipse 8 as every character (maybe except Rexs robot load out it sucks ass for eclipse 8) and to be honest gungeon is even easier than Isaac, the bullet patterns are always fair and to be honest not that difficult other than the advanced dragun, litch and rat and the game has a build in system so you don't get too many of high quality items, there's always an item and gun chest in each floor and If you want to you can always guarantee a gun drop from the boss on stage one by beating the boss with your starter
a big thing with isaac is learning how to manipulate rng to get consistently good runs no matter what items you get from treasure rooms etc. using sacrifice rooms/ beggars to get extra items is something that most people dont realize are actually really important
I know you hate FTL but if you ever HAVE to play it again for some ungodly reason, venting the oxygen by opening the outside doors and creating a vacuum into rooms that are on fire is legitimately the best way to deal with the solar flare areas. And any other fires tbh
Yeah, I usually hate to be the guy saying "skill issue," but... that particular clip was a legit skill issue. Doesn't change the fact that FTL is RNG-heavy even by roguelike standards. Compare with Hades: Everything is random as fuck, but it is almost always possible to put together a somewhat viable build, regardless of what the game offers you. With FTL, you can just get totally screwed and go into the final boss with half the upgrades you actually need to win. And that's assuming you even make it to the final boss in the first place.
@@NYKevin100 not realu wjo;e everythings random as fuck with good game knowledge aka getting as much scrap as possible you could beat the flagship pretty consistently on good cruisers. imo the game doesnt give you an instant loose but free wins if you get like halbered beam on sector 3 :/
