Make a check list of things to fix. Flip the bed pump so the bolt isn't rubbing your driveshaft. Need to stabilize the bed. Just from your driving I see the bed wobble alot. Put a couple bump stops on the rear frame so it rests on them. Trucks got some pretty good capabilities, just have to address the problems and she should do you years of service.
thanks for the kind words and checking it out... we ll see about skyrocketing, but its nice to get some traction, i have been at it for a little while now
Ol' Magneti Marelli. I used to work there. I worked at the one in Pulaski, TN. We didn't make carburetors. We made headlights for Dodge Ram trucks, Jeep, Mercedes, and Camaro lights. They shut down the shock absorber assembly about a month before I started working there.

I’m happy you posted a longer video because now I have a good video to watch on such a 118 degree day with scattered thunderstorms with 2094167% humidity… you think your Georgia weather is bad… south Mississippi where I live said hold my beer!
I really like a 305 great work motors they do burn little oil so a tune up wouldn't hurt with new wires and they also like around 15 to some 18 degrees timing that one they way it sounded starting up the starter bendicts are getting worn out so replacement on the horizon but you can run the 305 through the dirt and back keep on running
Yea man. Thanks for the heads up on timing. I think she is a little too advanced and that’s why it’s hard starting. We will back it off a couple degrees and see how it goes But yea. The 305 I had in the van was rough. It was worn slap out and still drove itself into the garage for the motor swap
Change your plug on the cylinder from and outtie and to an innie. Get a plug similar to an axle where you use an Allen or square drive. Looks like it’s barely touching. That box is 500. Front end is probably 250-500. Trailer is 2-300.
Great video and I'm not sure if you need a place that sells replacement parts for the c10. Try national parts depot in canton Michigan. They have all sorts of parts for the c10
Well my friend i think you have a good little work rig there ! And with a small amount of work and those other doors it will be more better ! Good luck and happy working !!
I’d be pretty happy with that deal. Now you just need to add it to your ever increasing schedule for vehicle/ lawn mower and machinery maintenance.. 😂😂 Either way it makes for entertaining viewing. Good luck Ryan 👍🏼
Ok great vid..truck was a great price and great for the property! As for the skeeters get yourself a thermacel from Wally World.,gives you a 15’ bubble of no skeeters..if they are real thick use 2?
You can use fuel line as vacume line, you just can't do the opposite. Its a waste of a little extra money being that fuel line is a dollar or so more a foot but thats about it. Just saying, not sure why he said fuel line "cant" be used as vacume line. If its the correct size its all good. Cool video and cool stuff you got there. Seems like you got some good deals👍 That truck having a dump bed and it runs, made it worth the 1500$. I feel like the parts are icing on the cake, id personally save then to fix that truck now or later down the road. Id need a closer look at the car trailer but 1500$ seems like a good deal. Use to pick up trailers like that for 800 10 or 12 years ago but that was 10 or so years ago😅 The last several years ive seen those little homade pickup bed trailers forsale for 7 to 800$ around here😬 Thats crazy if you ask me but maybe people buy them for that. Used to be around 300$ was the going rate.
thanks dude... i have been wrong about all kinds of stuff and will continue to be .. but my understanding on this is fuel line is made to resist the pressure of fuel pushing it outwards... but the vacuum line is designed not to be pulled closed or collapse under vacuum. I heard about this troubleshooting power brake booster issues, and somewhere i read that there was a construction difference and that fuel line might lead to to a loss of vacuum to the booster... so at this point i use fuel for fuel and vacuum for vacuum and so far its been pretty trouble free
@@betweenthesharksgarage No problem man. Yea I've never heard that, I'm not claiming to be a professional at anything. Just know a little about alot😅. But thinking about that reasoning it still doesn't make since. A rubber fuel line is designed to be more ridgid then a vacume line and its thicker. When using a mechanical fuel pump the pump is sucking on the hose, there for it must have enough structure to not allow the hose to collapse at all. The fuel pressure is a bit more pressure then vacume pressure would be, reather the fuel is pushing or pulling. I mean I personally agree on using the proper stuff for what it's designed for. In a pinch ofcourse you do what you gotta do but I dont see any reason a rubber fuel line cant technically be used. Imo it's a stronger hose, it just can't flex as much to be routed in certain ways like vacume line can be. I guess I'm just ranting about something that dont really matter anyway lol, maybe theres something I'm missing.
What a great will run..will it stop..will it charge, steer or anything else video. You got a smokin deal on the lot. I believe that extra seat has the same pattern as my dad's old 71 C20 Cheyanne camper special
yea it really seemed to work out... i had a spare engine laying around but i was worried about the transmission... i ll do some research on the seat... its rad
i did eventually read about that.. but they had aluminum exhaust or something? anyway i am pretty sure this is not one of them but would be cool if it was
I always thought they moved the dipstick 86 when they changed to one piece rear main seal. And what kind of transmission is that? Th350 usually don't have vaccum guvenor, and the th400 have electric kick down.
the engines get strange in the late 70's early 80's, i have a few of them around. you start to see passenger side dip sticks, with traditional valve covers (not center bolt) and timing marks at 12'colock behind the water pump... all before 86 and all before single piece rear main seals. I am by no means an expert its just what i have discovered with what i have bought lately. as far as the transmission, i have no idea this is my first 350 i ll dig in, thought they had some kinda vaccum modulator but i guess i am about to learn
@@betweenthesharksgarage i have an 86 350 in my 66 chevelle that i installed heads and intake from my old 327 on so the top end is made 67-68 and it looks legit at first glance 😁

i would put the nice parts on the truck you are already dumpin money into it so why not make it nice you can always make back the money when you sell it

beef up the hole frame on the square body front to back so it won't break in half with a heavy tipping load in the back

Great deal! That bed should pull $500 alone. Depending on when in 73-74 the truck was built it may not have had drip rails. 1973s didn't have them.
interesting about the drip rails not existing on the 73, there were some adhesied to this truck at some point but i didnt know that wasnt stock
when you can't help yourself you just can't not do it it's against the law not too right
