No problems with our AC drains in our 2012 Audi A4 wagon. Sometimes it drips so much water that the stream of water goes past the front tires on our downhill driveway!
Did this fix, although I didn’t have the water pooling issue the AC smelled funky so I thought it was a clogged drain pipe. It wasn’t. I ran a slim snake up the pipe after removing the black drain hose that he did as well. Still don’t see any AC water drips under the car like on any normal car. Ac still smells funky and feel like there’s water pooling somewhere
Thanks for the vid. Very helpful. Do you happen to know if these evap lines have anything to do with hearing running water behind the center vents when the a/c is on?
I have the same running water noise on my 13 A7. It’s just the compressor, wouldn’t worry about it. Many Audi owners report hearing same without experiencing any issues. Just turn the radio on
The water noices you hear behind the vents is just the coolant expanding post compression and turning into liquid. Has nothing to do with water sloshing. Unfortunately VW group chose the location/design of the expansion valve such that you hear it. My A7 has same water gurgling sound that comes and goes with the compressed/expansion cycles. Annoying, but nothing to worry about
Have you had any issues since? I haven’t had the heat issue but I’m getting a musty smell and I’m pretty sure my drains are clogged but on my passenger side, going to tear into it tonight. Thanks for the video!
@@AudiC7Owners That would make sense. We see that all the time you here in the northeast. I just bought a 2013 A6 3.0T and will probably just rip out the stock exhaust because RuSt
@@TheJPspike Just wanted to give you a quick update... I found out today that the heat isn't from a torn flexpipe... it's from my Driver's side Catalytic converter being clogged! Having to tear them out, and then I'm going to gut them.

Another helpful vid. Good job with the tough camera angles.
Thanks man! Takes some trial and error ;)
Hey I have the same problem in a C7 RS6. Thanks for the video 👍👍

@@Dmeech100 Hey man, I'm dealing with the same issue. Have you found a fix to it?
When I fill up adblue on my c7 there is always a bit of leak coming down. But when its all filled up it stops. Its an avant
Where is it leaking on your tdi?
Mine's doesn't leak at all
Pretty amazing that Audi has had this issue since the 1990s. Do they not learn?! ;-)
No they do not lol

I don't think so. I'm not sure why you would be hearing running water.
YES! You can hear running water especially on tight turns while driving. The Evap drainage hose being blocked could cause this type of issue.
Did this fix the running water noise, assuming you tried it ?

Does the 07 Audi A4 2.0 Quartrro have this drain clogs as well?
I have no idea man.
Where is the AC drain under the car? I’ve tried looking for it and I can’t find it anywhere.
It is located behind the heat shields that are in driveshaft tunnel
@@AudiC7Owners we have a Mazda and Audi, and the Audi has always dripped more water. How does one drip more than the other one?
@@AudiC7Owners can you do a video on how to access the AC drains
Can you do a video on how to access the AC drains from the bottom of the car?
It could drip more simply because of the size of the system. There are a lot of variables
Common sense rocks! Good vid!
The apple commerical is 🔥
Great video by the way,it explains it good detail

Hey Jacob, did you end up fixing that issue? I also have a musty smell
I don't have any smell or anything.
But the source of the heat appears to be from a leaking flex pipe in the exhaust

I wish some day you will find steering wheel noises
What kind of steering wheel noises?
@@AudiC7Owners I get a vibration/shudder when turning at low speeds while close to full locking whether in reverse or going forward.
@@rcl300018 this could be an axle issue, or an issue with your control arms. I would have a shop check your suspension when you get the chance.
