- Having issues with your door hinges on your scamp or boler. We definitely were, in this video we do some much needed repairs and maintenance to our Scamp door hinges. Please SUBSCRIBE and turn on notifications to follow along on our journey! On our 1972 13 ft boler we have Scamp hinges for our door, which happened to be in the wrong location. Mounted to low. So we move the upper hinge to a better location. As well as change out some of the hardware with the Stainless Steel Hinge Repair kit that we purchased from Camping Treasures.

@@Lady_Ferns We are actually leaving Victoria tomorrow morning for American Girl Mine near Yuma! It will take us 4-5 days to reach destination, and it will be quite cold on the way I'm afraid. Hoping California and Arizona warm up by next weekend.
@@Jonty_and_Chantal awesome. We are just north of there at Quartzsite,AZ. Weather here has been much better here than elsewhere. A little rain here and there. And the occasional strong wind. But much better than most of the whole west coast. I’m sure you will enjoy the weather here much more. Drive safe :) so neat there will be another boler in the area.

Hi Ladies, I just bought a 1972 boler American. I’ve been watching your videos. I wish you were around here. My boler needs new hinges. I love your instruction videos. Thank you so much for doing them. I want to put new gasket on the inside of the door and around the windows. What did you fill in the holes with? What size drill bit did you use and was it a special one for fiberglass? Thank you ʻouAnn Your not going to be at the New Hampshire Egg Rally in May are you?
Congratulations Lou Ann on the purchase of your 1972 boler American. That is the same year as ours 😀 just different manufacturing location. We are so happy you are enjoying the videos! I don't recall the size drill bit anymore, but I just used a drill bit gauge to see how big the bolt was and then choose the drill size accordingly. It was not a special type of drill bit. I don't recall the name of the puddy like substance that I used to fill in the holes. I'll try to figure it out for you.
New Hampshire is an area that we have not been to yet. But it's on our list to one day go too. Currently we have no idea what is next after about March. Anything is possible 😀 but I think we would love to see that area with fall 🍁 folliage one day. Was not aware for a new Hampshire egg rally in may! Very cool. Will you be going with your boler?
