If you got inside skin cracks- do this-. . Home depot sells 4x8 fiberglass panels in white or grey textured on one side for @ $45. I just fixed my door yesterday and it took @ 2 hrs. Take door off, remove hardware, 4 screws on bottom and bottom trim. Get couple putty knives and pry off door u shape trim carefully and window trim. Tear off old skin and use as templet for new panel. Cut new panel with circular saw and jig saw. Put back together carefully and use wood block and hammer to set trim over edges. Better than new! Now solid 3/32's thick.
That's the thing about little projects, you just never know what you are getting into. Reminds me of something I heard someone say about 30 years ago. "Every 30 minute project is one broken bolt away from a 3 day ordeal." Glad it went well for you Sam.
Put the sealants around all windows. It will help in along run. Because they have very little or none. We found this out years ago in our first campers
This reminds me of times my Dad fixed our camper. There is a certain amount of "pride of ownership" when you invest in making or fixing up your belongings. It's a good thing- Stewardship. God bless you all.
I love watching you two. So, so happy for you and your new homestead. I have watched all of our videos and I keep telling my husband..."Sam does it this way or that's not how Sam does it....We have gutted and rebuilt 3 trailers so I guess his way must work too. We also moved to Tennessee...Cookeville, TN...we were there for 10 months. Wages were a lot less then we were used to and the work was heavier. I miss the fire Flys and lightening storms... keep up the good work kids...catch you later
Easy way to remember which way the window mould goes, if it has screw holes then it's the inside otherwise untrustworthy poeple can just unscrew the window from the outside.
Love your clear instructions on how to repair things. I feel as if I could do a similar repair myself! So many RUclipsrs leave out crucial steps, for some reason. You are the best!
Congratulations, on that nice looking 25+ year old RV Trailer! You really don't see them looking that good at that age. Of course you two can fix anything together. You have amazed me on the mobile home. What an Exciting Time for all of you! I I am so happy for you two and the boys! Wishing you all, health, happiness, love, peace and joy in this new Adventure in your lives!!! God Bless!
We really were blessed to have been able to get this one and it being in such great shape! We call it our 90s Time Capsule. :) Tour video is coming up next and you'll get to see what we mean. :) Thank you so much!!
I was able to get a camper today free. It belonged to a friend of mine and his mother just wanted it to be put to good use. I have to do some work but the door is the first thing I plan to redo and make sure its waterproof. Loved the video. good work.
Wow' thank you' for making this video. I've been re-doing an old trailer and just when I finish the front and dining area the door started falling apart just like yours. Thank God for real ppl sharing what some may consider an easy task but for an old widow approaching 70' this IS now my 'go to' fix it page. God Bless patriot, thank you, thank you🎉
Looks great. Sometimes things are a lot easier to fix than they seem and save a bundle rather than buying new parts. It looks great and I know you will enjoy the extra space. Can't wait til you get to use it on the property! Blessings
My way of taking off camper doors and mobile home doors is by using blocks that come up to the bottom of the door to lay bottom of door on,same as putting door back on its hinges, because i only have 2 hands lol😉,and nice job on repairing the door👍😊...
Nice work, Sam. You are much more skilled with sealants and caulks than I. There always seems to be a mess when one of those tasks has been finished by me.
You need a stow and go door handle for your camper. I tried to add it to your Amazon list but couldn't figure it out. You really need one. It saved me from falling many times.
Been watching from your early vlogging days. The Natural way you expose your working process is refreshing, and unlike the pristine, prefect presentation seen on most others. Thanks. Keep showing the real processes with errors and bad decisions. That is both informative and entertaining 😁.
Happy to help! My other suggestion would be to allow your sealant plenty of time to cure or it may slide down again once the door is installed. If you can't let it cure long enough, and for extra insurance while it does cure, add some tape from the glass and up and over the door. It will act as straps to hold things in place and fight gravity until it all sets up. At the end of this video you can see some tape on the inside of the door for that exact reason with ours. :)
Sam, you need the Ryobi Battery Operated Caulk Gun. The are inexpensive, use standard batteries, and takes 100% away from having to keep squeezing the trigger, and get a better bead, since there is no start and stop until the tube runs out.
think you could paint the plastic with rubberized paint (like bedliner) and it will protect the plastic from the UV radiation and might even turn it a little more flexible again might had been a good idea to put a good fitting block of wood in the window opening under the glass to at least support it and prevent it from dropping down again
Try super glue and baking soda.. I've been repairing damaged guitars for 16 yrs and use this method. It dries instantly sandable In 1hr it's like concrete when fully cured but it's sands down with 80grit. I've rebuilt pointy V guitar tips with it built it up and sand it shape it prime and paint.
I sure enjoy your videos...Sam is so funny and you two are so cute together. You really work good together. Wish your family all of Gods blessings...keep up the good work.
You are doing a good job the two of you I need you to fix my camper door but I can't stay there by my self I am to old just let you no I would let you no you do good work an you all work very hard bless you.
Having the tools & space does help tremendously. Of that I have no doubt. Other than the wood piece cut for the bottom, it was a basic tool project. :) Thanks!
Thank you!! We try to be very mindful and diligent on filming the best video & audio we can. It's nice to hear someone out there notices and even nicer to have the comment! :)
You guys are awesome! Love watching your videos! You both have such a positive attitude on every project. So refreshing and setting a good example for us all! Thank you both!
Thanks so much!! We have set out to make our channel as positive and "can do" as possible. :) Even when life isn't really that way, we try to make it so. :)
I had someone comment and give me that tip on some video in the past on our channel. It was great! That works wonderful for all sorts of sealants and helps to give a better result. Great stuff! :)

This is what I need! What is the thickness of these panels
Lol. “ rot in the bottom “. Sounds like a personal problem. 😂 I couldn’t resist
You gotta give Angela credit, she ain't scared, she will jump right in with those tools and help out.
She's a keeper!!! :)
I like what I see of your camper so far outside looks really nice haven’t really seen the inside much
It’s always a good thing when the repaired piece fits back into where it came out of!
It sure is!! :)
That's the thing about little projects, you just never know what you are getting into. Reminds me of something I heard someone say about 30 years ago. "Every 30 minute project is one broken bolt away from a 3 day ordeal." Glad it went well for you Sam.
That's exactly right!!!
You can use a satin black texture spray paint which will make the repair almost invisible !
Love hearing the boys having a good time!
Put the sealants around all windows. It will help in along run. Because they have very little or none. We found this out years ago in our first campers
We should see a video of the inside next time. Like a before, before the after. That would be cool.
Tour video is coming up next
This reminds me of times my Dad fixed our camper. There is a certain amount of "pride of ownership" when you invest in making or fixing up your belongings. It's a good thing- Stewardship. God bless you all.
You're absolutely right! :)
I like when you can take something that not looks so good transform it into a beautiful thing.

Really glad to learn about the CA glue and activator!! Thanks for all the information you share.
He’s very generous in educating us along the way. I like how he’s not afraid of tackling any job.
But what does CA stand for?
Glad it was helpful!
Cyanoacrylate glue. :)
Can’t wait for the full tour!
It's great that you aren't afraid to tackle problems. Keep going strong, y'all got this.
Easy way to remember which way the window mould goes, if it has screw holes then it's the inside otherwise untrustworthy poeple can just unscrew the window from the outside.

Aww, thanks!! Many comment I talk too much, but I'm here to teach more than entertain sometimes. :)

You two make things look so simple. I battled with my hose and sprinkler all day today and lost.
Wow' thank you' for making this video. I've been re-doing an old trailer and just when I finish the front and dining area the door started falling apart just like yours. You're handy as pockets on a shirt! Great job on that door. Show us the rest of it!

That's a great idea!
i just want to say i love you all

Use a black permanent marker over the glue spots, it should cover the white lines
Well, that was interesting. I'll bet there isn't too much wrong with this camper/trailer the two of you can't fix :)
It's in great shape, and the things that need fixed stand no chance! :) Hehe Thanks!
Great job Sam! I have to write down the names of the glue and sealant for my own personal use too. Seems to be very good stuff. TFS :)
They both really are! Great uses even beyond campers. :)
My way of taking off camper doors and mobile home doors is by using blocks that come up to the bottom of the door to lay bottom of door on,same as putting door back on its hinges, because i only have 2 hands lol😉,and nice job on repairing the door👍😊...
That also works! :)
Nice work, Sam. You are much more skilled with sealants and caulks than I. There always seems to be a mess when one of those tasks has been finished by me.
The water-on-finger trick really works well! Makes us look "pro"! :)
You need a stow and go door handle for your camper. I tried to add it to your Amazon list but couldn't figure it out. You really need one. It saved me from falling many times.

I am what I am... could never pretend to be perfect! LOL I appreciate and thank you for the kind words and comment!
I'm dealing with the same window issue. Thanks for the video!!!

I had a similar Terry trailer - same vintage - and it was so well made and comfortable.
Can't wait to see the inside. You are an amazing handyman. Jack of all trades. Your family is blessed to have you.
Aww, thank you! The tour video is coming up next..
That was a cool easy fix. Can't wait to see the rest of the camper.
Tour video is coming up next! :)
it's actualy very easy to rebuild a travel trailer door. Very Very Easy.
Sam, you need the Ryobi Battery Operated Caulk Gun. The are inexpensive, use standard batteries, and takes 100% away from having to keep squeezing the trigger, and get a better bead, since there is no start and stop until the tube runs out.
That sounds awesome!
Well done, Sam. looking real nice
Thank you!

Another job well done ! Very nice job. I still say you could start a business doing side job's like that !!!!!
Probably could!! Never know... :)

Ya all are great!! Smart, witty and kind.
I like that new plastic repair product. Nice job with the door.
Awesome video!! My pup has damaged my door trying to get out and seeing you repair yours has given me the confidence to DIY my repair.
Great job. There are so many things on a camper that you can repair yourself, saving you tons of money.
Very true! I think the hurdle of the unknown stop so many, but they're really built simply. :)
Never in my life thought I would enjoy someone fixing a camper door.................but I did! Blessings from East TN
Why thank you! :)
Thanks for the non-intimidating tutorial. I needed that!
Great job as usual 👏
Nice video! You are a great teacher! That is the next repair on my rv.
I sure enjoy your videos...Sam is so funny and you two are so cute together. You really work good together. Wish your family all of Gods blessings...keep up the good work.

I enjoy how patient you seem with your projects, you did an awesome job . 👍
And I was just thinking of the spider entry point that window caused. Glad you found it!
An electrican friend of mine turned me on to lexen, great stuff. Dodntknow about wetting your finger to spread it. Great tip.
If that was the biggest repair then this camper is in really good repair. Well chosen. You two are on a roll
We're really blessed with this camper -- it's like a time capsule from the 90s! :) Tour coming up next!

Great job fixing the door good enough for common people
you all are as cool as all get out
Door came out good 👍
Thanks!
Simple fix when you've got the tools, materials, time & know how. Folks can learn a lot from guys like you who think & do.
Having the tools & space does help tremendously. Of that I have no doubt. Other than the wood piece cut for the bottom, it was a basic tool project. :) Thanks!
The quality of your videography is so good!
Thank you!! We try to be very mindful and diligent on filming the best video & audio we can. It's nice to hear someone out there notices and even nicer to have the comment! :)

Dynamite job bro. I have some issues with my door and have been putting off the repairs for a while. Thanks a mill.
Glad to help
Put your sealant around your windows on the out side too. They aren't sealed that good. It really helps
He did in this video.
Great fix on the camper door and window. It looks in really good condition for an older camper. Enjoy!!
It is! Tour video is coming up next. :)

When your ready would like to see the inside of it. Thanks for sharing
That's coming up next! :)
Can't wait for more videos!
Nice job Sam. But I know Angela would have wanted you to clean those parts before you reassembled!😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Good work. Thanks for sharing
that idea of using your finger dipped in water makes sense , as im always up to my knuckles in sealant that will not clean off straight away.
I had someone comment and give me that tip on some video in the past on our channel. It was great! That works wonderful for all sorts of sealants and helps to give a better result. Great stuff! :)
Excellent repair SAM . Saves the door rotting off later down the line . . Keep up the excellent work and content guys . .
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the tips! Really is a nice looking camper!
Our pleasure!
I had never heard of the plastic weld glue. That would be pretty nifty to have on hand
Harbor Freight has plastic weld.
Nice job Angela
