I have a Honda Saber which is a VERY similar bike. I have a power commander on it and full exhaust and it is extremely fast! I too do scrape a peg on right turns🤷🏾♂️
@@killermed95 I also have the Sabre 1300. I love it, but had a bit of trouble at low speed at first. Dropped it three time in the first 3 weeks. No damage except destroyed pegs which I replaced with floor boards. My only complaint was the stubby stock mirrors. I could not see trucks following me at all. I got ape hanger mirrors now, and my view to the rear is excellent. And Ya, no tach, and fuel gauge really sucks. Also I keep trying to hit 6th gear, and there ain't none. Oops! My first bike was an '11 Fury that I bought in '14. the stateline was way better, they stuck with the 1300 that was first put on VTX series to which I have now and has more power (100hp/75 torque carbed). I hated that they got rid of cluster on tank and put it in the handle bar. Less space to put things on the bar or even put a drag bar on. Cant put a cowel on it like most cruisers etc, its a great look but they tuned the engine down for MPGs but id rather take 37mpg with more power vs 42+ etc. The only thing they really kept was motor/and headlight design (best style out there).
OC, The thing about the fury that is amazing is that Honda designed and engineered a chopper that is actually rideable. Normally choppers are super difficult to turn/swerve and make terrible street bikes, but Honda set out to make a street friendly chopper and the fury was born. You have to remember that back in the 70’s and 80’s choppers were the original drag bikes made to go high speed in a straight line. They took Harley’s and Triumphs, chopped off as much weight as possible (hence the name), souped up the engine, and stretched out the rake to make it stable while accelerating.
I'm so happy you did this video. I absolutely LOVE my Fury, but I think you're right. Its a tractor, but I'm all in for it's look. I also don't mind the length, weight, heavy clutch, or large grips, because I'm very large. This bike fits me perfectly.
If you’re looking for a bike that does it’s job, has the looks and is unique, has a beautiful sound with a aftermarket exhaust and don’t really care about a super sport that goes 140+ mph on the highway this is your bike, chase is not a cruiser guy, and in my personal opinion, I’d ride it even though it doesn’t go 150+ mph on the highway. That sparkle yellow is beautiful in the sun
I have a 2019 honda fury. Once you get use to the length and the 34 degree rake it becomes part of you. I live in the North East and ride backroads with farmland and woods, it's handling and rns runs great. Did some mods. EFI, pipes and intake, simple stuff. There are many like it but this one is mine and I absolutely LOVE it.
The fury came out just after the occ chopper craze was over. It’s a cool bike and they seem to hold their value. I wish they had put the 1800cc engine in it. With some pipes it sounds pretty good.
And the 1800 has a dual pin crank vs the single pin on the 1300. The 1300 with baffles removed has the perfect sound unlike the 1800 which in my opinion sounds lousy. Louder, but not good
I ride a 2011 Fury and absolutely love it. It took a few miles to get the feel for it but it has been awesome every time since. The first 2 or 3 years of production, most Furys came with chrome wheels, handlebars, engine block and side panels. Around 2013 they started blacking out these same parts. Each year Honda chooses one or two different paint options. I am not a big fan of some paint options, but with 12+ years of production, I am sure most people can find a color/package that they will enjoy. Thanks for the review. Keep up the good work.
awesome to see a first-timer enjoy a Fury!! i scrape pegs every day on mine, its an absolutely beautiful bike and amazing fun to ride. stock power leaves something to be desired for sure, but once you mod them for power as mine is, they really open up to a significant degree. and of course its a Honda so its about as reliable as Stonehenge itself, awesome video!

As a guy who currently owns three bikes (R3, XT250, V-Strom 650) and never thought that he'd get a "cruiser"- I'm really warming up to this particular bike. ALways good to hear Chase's perspective.
Ya gotta admit, Honda got pure creds to creating a beast chopper motorcycle that gives so much coolage when rydin' it out with style. I love the bike so much it's pretty much a most important one to ever take a nice cruise and imprint self-sufficiency to a person's mellow immunity. Although the Shadow Phantom is the motorcycle I certainly wanna own and ryde on to pick as a first ever, the Fury really is a dope motorcycle 💯💯💯 When I get certified for a motorcycle learner's permit and license, the Fury's definitely a back-up chariot that give me confidence, just like as cool as its color 😎
OC: Really like how you’re branching out to other types of bikes Chase & team, Thank You! I am Up in Canada, the Shadow Aero, VTX, Interstate and Fury have been discontinued for years here, but it’s great to see I could still get most of those options south of the border though. What would be cool is to have the Interstate with that 1300 and the Fury with the more outrageous style have the old 1800 from the VTX. Anyhoo, happy riding, see you on the next one!
God I love those old intruders. I had a 2003 800cc and I loved that bike but sadly the bike was just too small for me. I'm just too tall for it. Even with extended controls I looked silly.
I am a Cruiser guy, and I am a Honda fan. I bought the new Honda Rebel 1100 DCT when it first came out last year, and love it. If the Fury came with the DCT, I probably would have bought it. Not a big fan of the yellow though. I enjoy changing the things that I'm not thrilled with, like the stock seat. The stock seat on my Rebel sucked, so I got a nice Corbin seat which cost too much but feels great and makes the bike look much better. I also changed out the exhaust, going with the Two Brothers Racing competition slip-on. Sounds awesome and gave it a little pep I think. A nice set of 12" Ape's with an extended wiring kit, and it's just about done. The Fury needs higher bars and that is about it. I am a fan of the minimal look and they handled it well. Good brakes would have to be a priority though. My friend Gus put some EBT double H sintered pads on his Rebel and I did too and they seem to work much, much better than stock. Sorry for this long comment Chase. I like your channel. The only thing that you have to do is stop saying "super" so much. Thank you. I hit the Like button on just about ALL your videos and I subscribed a long time ago. Thanks again. peace. Erin from Kissimmee Florida.
Awesome stock lines, too narrow tank and rear tire, too small motor, but it was on my small list of possible bikes 1) Honda Fury 2) Harley Davidson Breakout 3) Yamaha Raider S And I LOVE my Raider S black and chrome!
that would be pretty cool, I second that notion. Curious PigRadar is that name any relation to a USMC MOS ? if you have no idea what I'm talking about just simply say no :-)
@@greenmarine5 No. I picked PigRadar years ago for either 2 reason. 1 was finding bacon. And the second was for the police scanners in your car. Thought it was funny.
I had a 2010 Fury I loved it...the most comfortable bike I've owned the only reason I traded it off was lack of power. If they had put the VTX 1800 motor in it their sales would've probably tripled
In the early models they did color matched frames. I think a yellow frame with the silver wheels (yellow/yellow/silver) would make it look a ton better than the yellow/grey/black. Also I've heard a bunch of fury owners say they want a 6 speed. Might help with mpg even if it doesn't have the power to fully utilize it for speed. Lastly they need to bring back the vtx1800 motor (101hp/117ft-lbs) for the fury or boost the output of the current motor.
If you want a bike that requires absolutely minimal maintenance and just runs... this is it. Have my vtx 1300 since 2004. Just runs winter after winter
For some context, I grew up racing motocross. My first street bike was a used 1988 Honda shadow. After that have owned 4 Cbr 600s, 3 being 600rr. I bought my 2020 fury brand new in may of 2021. I still have my Cbr 600rr as well. I made a few changes to it, exhaust/lights/intake/fuel management/etc. I scraped both pegs cornering within 3 miles of leaving the showroom. I have since started scraping my aftermarket exhaust recently as I no longer have peg sliders and the exhaust hits before the footpeg. I wish they had put the 1800 engine in it but the 1300 is good. For being 8.5 feet long I feel she's quite nimble for her size. You made mention of the west coast choppers feel of the design, that's what they were going for and at the same time being able to be mass produced. I heard that Jesse James helped in the design aspect of it but cannot confirm. Overall she is definitely a good ride depending on the type of ride you want to take. Living in Eastern Tennessee, if you are looking for the tail of the dragon, the fury is not your bike, other roads around here are better suited. I've pretty much put it as east of Knoxville is sport bike roads, west of Knoxville are cruiser roads. I have enjoyed the bike and have no regrets in my purchase.
Talk about stuck in a time capsule this thing is straight outta OCC. like the NFS Underground era but for bikes. Wild that Honda ever made something like this to begin with and no one ever gave them the credit for being insane enough to make it
I love the Fury. But….the low power and plastic parts ruined it for me. When I see cruisers, I get the classic muscle car vibe. Big, heavy, loud, surprisingly fast and a blast to drag race. That vibe is what led me to get my Yamaha Raider. It embodies all those aspects. I wouldn’t mind owning a Fury if Honda put a motor in it that gave it the power it looks, to me, like it should have.
If the heels of your boots aren't ground off, you're not taking that corner fast enough! Except for a few months when I wasn't thinking too clearly in 1983 with a Honda Sabre 45, I've only had Harleys since 1978. The Fury has 1300cc, and is a dog for power. Recall you riding the Sportster S, and really loving the available horses, technology, and ride-ability....and it's still a 1200. Not only a 1200, but powered DOWN from the same engine in the Pan American!
OC : Finally love your video work and motorcycles anyways you and yammi were big when i grew up loving motorcycles and im glad to see more big voices reaching the full spectrum of what motorcycle can be for people.
Honda incorporated a combined front/rear brake with the rear brake pedal. I had the Stateline and the Fury/Stateline/Interstate are all based on the same bike. Using the rear brake pedal makes a big difference as it also actuates the front brake. It's not as strong as the lever for the front but it does give both on the pedal.
man, im not gonna lie. i always hated how these furys looked. but seeing you cruise down the highway and weave in and out of the traffic on it actually makes it look good 😂
How did I not see this channel before! Thanks for the review. That is a good looking bike, with Honda reliability! I have the VT750, which also hasn't changed for some time.
My first bike ever was a 2010 Stateline. A more tame looking version but still badass looking. Also has more HP & torque than these but still leaves you wanting just a bit more. Great beginner or intermediate bike but wouldn’t want to take the certification coarse on it.
I have the 2010 vt1300 Sabre, same bike as yours just has the same 21inch front tire that the Fury has. I bought mine new in 2010, it has 20,000 miles on it now and all I've had to do to it in 13 yrs is basic maintenance, tires, batteries and oil changes. It still has the factory headlight and taillight bulbs in it. The reliability of these bikes is almost supernatural. Mine still runs and looks like new. Honda reliability is second to none.
I really like it. I'm a Honda guy and I bought a CMX1100DCT a year ago, and I ride it every day down here in Kissimmee Florida. If that Fury had a six-speed and maybe 10 or 15 more horsepower, I'd buy it. If I'm not mistaken, it is a seriously inexpensive bike too.
I have one of these and I love it. Unlike this guy I actually have a LOT of experience riding motorcycles of all types and the Fury is fantastic for a bike of this type. This kid is about the same age as my oldest pair of socks so his opinion will change. I suggest checking one of these for yourself and not let his lack of experience affect your opinion. .. the yellow and gray is not the best color for it.. Look for a 2020 left over for the dark blue or a low mileage used one .. there was no 2021 model as far as I can tell.
Back in 2010, I think, the Fury came in a bright or burnt orange color. Omgosh I loved it fell in love, literally. Ida married it. Not really, js. Thought that was an awesome look. I prefer the Sabre's feel, however. Have you ever ridden one?
It goes like this from least to most aggressive Stateline Sabre Fury As you can see the sabre was different bike in recent gens the new one is just a model revival but completely redesigned to fit the vtx vt lineup
And to help make it clear the more aggressive you get the worse they handle I own 2010 fury and I tour with it and love it have had clearance issues before ...its a very low bike
@maxstone2566 he either can’t rev match or doesn’t understand it. He blames the shaft drive for jerking the bike after stabbing the gearbox down to first without any throttle
I’ve had my 2016 fury for a four years now and it’s still my overall favorite bike done a few changes to it but not many the only two things I wished they would change is it’s needs a six speed transmission and then wished they would offer a 1800 engine cause it needs more power like the m109 Suzuki but overall it gets way more attention than my Harley or Indian but great video
OC, just put those dad jeans on, get comfy. I have a VTX1800, double the power/torque looks more like a traditional cruiser, and I love it, even more than I thought it would
If you lubricate the clutch cable with engine oil and let it pass through the entire cable. Also greasing up the leaver assembly The clutch cable you should secure it propperbly with cable ties where it’s located in the plastic clamps along the frame, you will feel the clutch much easier to handle. I did that on my friends Fury, small operation. Remember to adjust the free play when the steering is turned fully left and adjust the freeplay to minimum. Then when you go straight the freeplay fits perfect.
i have a 2014 white with red frame fury. Yes it is heavy. The bright yellow is cool, but you can hardly tell the frame is silver/nickel or whatever. and i like that my year/variant has less chrome. its a great bike. definitely an eye turner.
Honda really are the Toyota of motorcycles. They tend to sell outdated stuff and always be behind the trends and new technology, but their shit always just works too. No frills and you even usually pay a little extra, but they are the epitome of function over form
the yellow would take some getting used to. but yeah, i love the Fury. i ride a Rebel 500 for the time being, but one of these days i will have a Fury. great review by the way. i enjoyed that.
Go ride a Harley 131 street or road glide. I was searching for a big sport touring bike after having a Vfr800 and my curiosity got the best of me. I road a 131 street glide and it was pretty much life changing!
Its a really good concept, if Honda wants to make more sales they should consider 1. Different colors lol 2. Upgrade the engine performance or offer power upgrades. 3. Dual front disc for better safety stopping.
This is a very good looking cruiser, i say the last of commercial chopper style still available today. It had everything a cruiser chopper style need like the look, reliable, power, fuel efficience sitting position. The only thing this motocycle doesnt have is Harley Davidson logo on it. As a Harley owner myself, I gotta give this to Honda, they really make one hell of a bike !
I will say regarding the brakes on the cruisers. The front brakes don't work as good as they do on sport bikes but the rear brakes work better on cruisers than they do on sport bikes.
Great review, would like to see a Yamaha FJR 1300 review. I would like to know if it’s still relevant in today’s SPORTS TOURING segment. I’ve see your Kawasaki Concourse 1400 review, enjoyed very much, but I’ve checked & I don’t see FJR Review on FJR.
Kinda pointless to compare something that’s been around for decades longer 🤔 At one point the Sportster hadn’t been updated in over a decade as well 🤦♂️🤦♂️
I saw you ride the Fury in mid-high rpm like other sporty bikes. These custom v-twins likes to be ride in mid-low RPM by using their low end torque. By doing this, you'll have less vibration in the handle.
OC: You'll be on a cruiser before I will, but I'm feeling the call of the mahoosive tourers. The Screamin' Banana does look like it out be a fun knock-around rider though.
For your commentary on seat height/feet on ground etc you need to tell us YOUR height and inside leg for it to mean anything to us. Edit: That aside, best review of the Fury I've seen!
Gotta ride the Honda Rebel 1100 Manual Transmission version, if you can find one, the automatics are more common but has the Africa twin motor with a 20% thicker crank for more torque
Your inexperience with cruisers really shows throughout this video. The grips are not big they are normal size, the clutch is not overly heavy but you can get a clutch pull relief, the ABS bike stops fine, the rear brake is linked to a middle piston on the front so if you use both brakes as you are supposed to everything works fine. The 21" front wheel is not big, 21" is the defacto standard for cruisers. Windshields are for wimps. Lastly the Fury handles exceptionally well for a chopper. You are correct that the Fury has not changed much over the years except for the colours and a revised fuel filter.
The fury is an awesome bike. It is what it is, needs very little tweaks just like classic cars. Small tweaks surely welcomed. I get my diversity by simply having different bikes. I have an ninja H2 the fury. 2 totally diff spectrums. Both give me the feel I want when I step over them. Ride safe..and have a blast. I will NEVER sale the fury. Bikes are sexy in general...the Fury is filthy..but in the best of ways!!
Honda definitely likes to keep some of the old parts around. All the handlebar controls and switches, turn signals, and gas cap look identical to my 97 Magna.
I own a 2020 Fury. No ABS. Done some fairly minor mods. Exhaust, power commander and EGR block off. Not sure what power it makes now. Have to get it dyno tested one of these years.
lol I remember scraping peg in my MSF class and panicking. I asked the instructor about it and he laughed and told me it was a good thing... means you're leaning well. Also, that's a beautiful bike... but it's got waaay too much chrome. If the chrome was say... matte black or even gloss black, I'd be sold for a long ride bike. But screw keeping that much chrome shiny.
Looks like a step up from my '18 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec. Bigger engine, liquid cooled, and like the chopper look. Hopefully the wide rake angle doesn't make steering a job.
I think I’ve only seen one on the road here once or twice. I live in northern NJ and you will see everything pretty often around here. I never see these running around. I remember the one that passed by my job I audibly shouted “oh shit a Fury!” They’re like a factory chopper. Not sure if the rake is crazier than a Wideglide or Breakout. But it’s definitely a long bike in person

Feel like the Honda Fury is the only factory style mass produced chopper in the market.
Yamaha stryker and yamaha raider are kinda chopper-ish
@@-JSLAK Yes
@@chirag4 not nearly as aggressive looks you also forgot the m109s
@@-JSLAK I like the raider but I think the gas tank is too wide. Big tanks are great but I feel like they could have shaped it better.
Chase, I went from supersports to cruisers and been in love with your reviews for years, would love to see you do more reviews on different cruisers
Awesome stock lines, too narrow tank and rear tire, too small motor, but it was on my small list of possible bikes
1) Honda Fury
2) Harley Davidson Breakout
3) Yamaha Raider S
And I LOVE my Raider S black and chrome!
I'm excited to hear you are going to start doing more different bikes. Love to see some dual sports too
that would be pretty cool, I second that notion.
If Honda put the potent vtx 1800 motor in it and add a 240 rear tire, I’d buy one 👍🏻
Same here.
Absolutely
Definitely and a 6 speed
💯
Btw this is a fury video and you can absolutely fit a 240 on a vtx with the aftermarket swing arm bud. So are you gonna buy one now ?
Definitely test out the m109r, its an absolute monster, corning is rough but cruising is beautiful
Yes. The M109R has plenty of power and I would love to hear Chase's comments.
OC: Look at you trying new stuff. Not my cup of tea, but love that you are showing us some different bikes! It's like riding them by proxy!
I had a 2010 Fury I loved it...the most comfortable bike I've owned the only reason I traded it off was lack of power. If they had put the VTX 1800 motor in it their sales would've probably tripled
I love seeing Chase branch out to cruisers! Chase get in touch with Blockhead! I would love to see my favorite moto youtubers colab!
Chase riding Goldzilla would be awesome to see!
Don’t worry about the pegs, they are service items on cruisers. Once you get used to the feeling of it it’s fine 😂
Still want to see chase on 2 wheels reaction to a Vrod
If the heels of your boots aren't ground off, you're not taking that corner fast enough!
Except for a few months when I wasn't thinking too clearly in 1983 with a Honda Sabre 45, I've only had Harleys since 1978. The Fury has 1300cc, and is a dog for power. Recall you riding the Sportster S, and really loving the available horses, technology, and ride-ability....and it's still a 1200. Not only a 1200, but powered DOWN from the same engine in the Pan American!
Thanks Trey! Love seeing a cruiser!
No Prob!
OC: I give you 3 years before you own and ride a cruiser on the daily. Beau would be so happy editing daily cruiser videos.
I actually like that in yellow!
I love the visibility aspect of that color.
Honda Fury Build Series!... Would be awesome!
Yes
man, im not gonna lie. i always hated how these furys looked. but seeing you cruise down the highway and weave in and out of the traffic on it actually makes it look good 😂
I understand it's not Ur vibe, but I love the looks of this bike... such clean lines :)

Channeling his inner doug demuro
I prefer the 2010 with the straight shot pipes black and chrome before they started painting the damn engines black
It goes like this from least to most aggressive
Stateline
Sabre
Fury
As you can see the sabre was different bike in recent gens the new one is just a model revival but completely redesigned to fit the vtx vt lineup
I’d be proud to own a fury. A Japanese factory chopper…. Hell yeah!
I have a VTX1800, double the power/torque looks more like a traditional cruiser, and I love it, even more than I thought it would
Love the video. Would like to see more cruisers.
If you lubricate the clutch cable with engine oil and let it pass through the entire cable. Also greasing up the leaver assembly
The clutch cable you should secure it propperbly with cable ties where it’s located in the plastic clamps along the frame, you will feel the clutch much easier to handle.
Another awesome review, Chase! Please ride and review the Honda Valkyrie Rune! It will be beyond awesome!
Finally, you ride a cruiser bike! Cruisers are the majority of bike sales in the US.
Try a Yamaha Raider!!!
(or Stryker, or warrior)
Please do a Yamaha raider 1900 !!!!
How did the stock pipes sound love the review
Am I the only one who wishes they would bring the V65 Magna back? One of the best bikes I’ve ever owned.
Go ride a Harley 131 street or road glide. I was searching for a big sport touring bike after having a Vfr800 and my curiosity got the best of me. I road a 131 street glide and it was pretty much life changing!
I guess chase shoved his bobber build to the deepest depths of his mind.
Its a really good concept, if Honda wants to make more sales they should consider 1. Different colors lol
2. Upgrade the engine performance or offer power upgrades.
3. Dual front disc for better safety stopping.
Your not lying the front brake is strong but have locked it up multiple times in a panic your gonna slide and I did once
Why do I love this Bike 🏍
such a nice bike
This is a very good looking cruiser, i say the last of commercial chopper style still available today. It had everything a cruiser chopper style need like the look, reliable, power, fuel efficience sitting position. The only thing this motocycle doesnt have is Harley Davidson logo on it. As a Harley owner myself, I gotta give this to Honda, they really make one hell of a bike !
The fury is a head Turner and it's funny the demographic that usually hates hondas sometimes dont realise they are liking one
I will say regarding the brakes on the cruisers. The front brakes don't work as good as they do on sport bikes but the rear brakes work better on cruisers than they do on sport bikes.
Honda needs to bring back the VTX 1300 had mine going on 12 years never had any issues… nothing but maintenance appreciate the upload
Wish they'd bring back their V-4s like the Magna and VF/VFR
Great review, would like to see a Yamaha FJR 1300 review. I would like to know if it’s still relevant in today’s SPORTS TOURING segment. I’ve see your Kawasaki Concourse 1400 review, enjoyed very much, but I’ve checked & I don’t see FJR Review on FJR.
Yes, more variety!
That yellow cries for pinstripes 😁
"These bikes are so good they haven't been updated in over a decade."
Those of us that have a Sportster, which hasn't been updated in 40 years: "Cute"
They about to stop making the sportster lol.
@@joshsturgill9725 Looks like it. Blame the government.
Love the more cruisers
OC: You'll be on a cruiser before I will, but I'm feeling the call of the mahoosive tourers. The Screamin' Banana does look like it out be a fun knock-around rider though.
I personally like the gray frame. It's nice for a change.
Almost got one of these but came out with a rebel simply because the turn radios still love the fury look
For your commentary on seat height/feet on ground etc you need to tell us YOUR height and inside leg for it to mean anything to us.
Edit: That aside, best review of the Fury I've seen!
OC: Change the grips, paint the frame black, and change the colour to something dark grey or dark purple, and you got yourself a smokin cruiser 😎
Gotta ride the Honda Rebel 1100 Manual Transmission version, if you can find one, the automatics are more common but has the Africa twin motor with a 20% thicker crank for more torque
I LOVE MY FURY !!
I have a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 which is still in production today as the same bike. Just different color and graphics schemes
Honda definitely likes to keep some of the old parts around. All the handlebar controls and switches, turn signals, and gas cap look identical to my 97 Magna.
I think that's where the current sabre got its roots as the sabre was the same bike as the magna just later in the gens they mish mash models and gens
Even the new valkyrie has new fury tail light they reuse to keep price down yet its underwhelming seeing the same tactics used over and over
I own a 2020 Fury. No ABS. Done some fairly minor mods. Exhaust, power commander and EGR block off. Not sure what power it makes now. Have to get it dyno tested one of these years.
This is like the Plymouth Prowler of motorcycles
Fury is actually a nice dependable bike. Can't even compare a curser with a sport bike. No comparison at all....
lol I remember scraping peg in my MSF class and panicking.
They're just so ridiculous I love em lol
Looks like a step up from my '18 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec. Bigger engine, liquid cooled, and like the chopper look. Hopefully the wide rake angle doesn't make steering a job.
I think I’ve only seen one on the road here once or twice. I live in northern NJ and you will see everything pretty often around here. I never see these running around. I remember the one that passed by my job I audibly shouted “oh shit a Fury!” They’re like a factory chopper. Not sure if the rake is crazier than a Wideglide or Breakout. But it’s definitely a long bike in person
