“A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

Thank you for the kind words! Different videos have different moods, but my two favorites are these series: ruclips.net/video/Gbk_J4XVpA8/видео.html on Islam and: ruclips.net/video/YasIYJ6i5j0/видео.html for Biblical content. Sometimes with Muslims, however, you have to get your hands dirty, so to speak. Hence the occasional sarcastic/highly polemic content.

Actually, Islam does hinder the development of the intellect - as well as other kinds of development.
My personal suspicion is that Mohammed suffered heavily from Psychopathy. Psychopaths see all relationships as vertically oriented and that they must be the top dog and the only thing they truly fear is not being the top dog. They obsess on "prevailing" over others. Mohammed, as an orphan in a next-of-kin-based vendetta law system, was at the bottom of society (he had no next of kin to avenge him, and relied over more distant relatives extending protection - this vulnerability made him very careful while young). This is why he had to marry a 40 year old women when he was 25, (an he resented it so much that he reacted against it after she died by marrying a 6 year old). From a very young age he would have obsessed about reversing his status. In 6th century Hijaz, status was conferred upon heads of clans, custodians of religious sects, and poets. Mohammed's idea was to combine all three of these: creating a new clan, based upon religiosity, bound by poetics (the Koran). But the whole point was to help Mohammed prevail as much as possible. This is built into the name of his system: "submission." Psychopaths need other people, but only for prevalence purposes, otherwise they are expendable (thus death for apostasy). Furthermore, Muslim soldiers were instructed that they could not kill in combat an adversary who suddenly proclaims the shahala (and becomes a muslim). It is important that Islam is the most exalted religion, and Muslims the most exalted people, and dehmmi churches/synogogue could not have higher elevation than mosques. The religion was perfected. Muslims are perfected. So, Muslims, once they proclaim the shahala, don't need to do another thing - they've just gone to the highest point they can go. As a result, once one submits, Islam wants nothing more from them, or for them. Islam does not compel people to further develop themselves.
Likewise, when Mohammed and his fellow travelers arrived at Yathribe (Medina) they were poor and impoverished for having left their property in Mecca. They could have chosen to hire themselves out as labor, to develop and till the land, to do development to the land, but they did not. Instead they took to banditry progressing from it to warfare and torture and eventually genocide. That was much more expedient but as a result Islam was left bereft of a doctrine or ethic of development and improvement.
Roman North Africa's population peaked at around 11 or 12 million, and thanks to investment in improvements, such as aquaducts, terracing and irrigation, was a bread basket to Roman Europe (roughly 25million). After the Arab's came the population never exceeded the Roman peak until roughly 1850, when Europe's was 300 million and had developed so much that it was rapidly advancing into science, technology and industrialization. Once the Arab's came, the pastor nomads followed with their flocks. While the Muslims respected existing property rights, a property owner could not chase a Muslim's flock feeding off his fields from his land. As result the land fell into ruin. The population stayed low because the land's productivity stayed low. Meanwhile the rulers continued the ethic of banditry through to 1816. The Barbary pirates got their wealth by expropriating it from more productive lands. One fifth of Washington and Adam's budget went to pay Barbary pirates extortion fees to not pray on American shipping. This lead to Jefferson sending the U.S. navy to attack Tripoli. The U.S. didn't have the navy to stop Barbary piracy completely. But after the defeat of Napoleon, the British, who had been enforcing blockades upon Napoleonic Europe and fighting the French for 15 years, suddenly had their enlarged for Napoleonic war purposes Navy freed up and they attacked and put an end to the Barbary pirate states of North Africa for good.
The Muslim Ottoman Turks took Cyprus from Venice in the 1570's. The Venetians had invested heavily in irrigation to facilitate the growing of cane sugar. The Turks quickly allowed the infrastructure to fall into to ruin, turning the area into marshes that were extremely favorable to malaria carrying mosquitoes. This at a time when Sugar was THE cash crop of the age, and would be for nearly 200 years. After the 1840s, with the growth in wealth in the West thanks to Industrialization, mass tourism to the Holy Land became very popular (Lincoln was planning to go after his term as president ended). The contracts set up by Western tourist booking agencies specifically contained clauses that insisted that the cruise ships did not call at Cyprus for fear of contacting Malaria. In the 1870s when the British took over the island, it caused a bit of a scandal when it was found that they did not have enough quinine to protect their soldiers and civil servants from malaria. According to British author Henry Hobhouse this help stimulate the development of the British chemical and pharmacuetical industries in the last quarter of the 19th century.
The Ottoman Empire was called the "sickman of Europe" for over 100 years because if its failure to industrialize and keep up with the growth of the European states. Literacy was said to be about 3% which is why they couldn't industrialize - they didn't have the capacity to absorb the science and technology need to run industrial machinery.
The lack of development, personal or otherwise, are lost on (especially Sunni) Muslims. Their prophet tells them they are the greatest and highest of all God's creatures and therefore they assume they are. In my mind, it's like they are Miss Piggy looking in the mirror and think they see Jessica Rabbit looking back. You can't tell them otherwise - it just doesn't register.

The most blatant thing I noticed when I started to read and watch muslim comments or responses on christianity was that they read bible (and everything else) like they read quran. It’s like short pipe with open ends, words that enter one end get pushed and drop off the other end when more words come. And when I read quran, expecting to read it like bible or any other decent literatures, I found no connection from one verse to the next. In the bible, each verse connects throughout the chapter, the chapters to the book, even the OT and NT refer to each other even though they were written hundreds years apart by different authors. Quran is like a compilation of strips of fortune cookies inserts, blown in the wind and someone pasted them together to make a book.

Exactly. Because the Quran is a message board. There is 0 continuity. And it makes no sense. Like the verse where Muhammad gets caught smashing his slave in his wives bed and he calls Allah and all the Angels and all the believers to have his back because of course it is his privilege to smash anything anytime. Then he tells the wives to repent or Allah will give him wives that will. 😂 This is the word of God, for all mankind? Sounds like a 1999 episode of Jerry Springer I saw.

Qur'an (60/8) Allah *does not forbid you* from those who *do not fight you* because of religion and *do not expel you from your homes* from being RIGHTEOUS toward them and acting JUSTLY toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who deal in justice.
So what is Islamic RIGHTEOUSNESS? To spread Shariah Law to the world. Shariah Law in a nutshell puts the Kufar in the gutter, makes him pay the jizya, and beheads him. This is acting JUSTLY in Islam. This is the very verse muslims quote as their version of "PEACE".

Linking it, as Jesus does with how He even phrases it, back to Daniel 7 not only solves it, but adds a TON of weight to Jesus being more than just some prophet who happens to be called Messiah but who cares what that means. ;-) THANK YOU! Hey Colin, on the last comment you commented on.. where they referred to the verse of Jesus saying ".. you will not taste death until ...", I had the understanding that was prior to the mount of transfiguration. I thought that's what Jesus was referencing. Can you comment or confirm if that might be a dual interpretation or if I was way off? Oh, I also loved that you used the term 'elucidate'! You are literally the only person I have ever heard use that vocab term besides myself. But you are pretty smart. It's sad that I get so excited encountering people with a strong intellect as they are so few and far between these days. Anyhow, thanks and God bless you sir!

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  2 года назад

There's a lot to say about that, and several viable interpretations. Rather than type a lengthy comment, I'll just share R.T. France's comments:
This future authority of the Son of Man is now given a timescale. Some of those standing there as Jesus speaks will still be alive to see it. The solemn introductory formula “I tell you truly” (see on 5:18) and the emphatic wording “will by no means taste death” mark this out as a pronouncement to be noted. The wording seems unnecessarily heavy: “there are some of those standing here who will” seems a long-winded way of saying “some of you will,” and “will by no means taste death before they see” seems a complicated way of saying “will live to see,” or “will see before you die.” But it is the preceding words which have produced this solemn wording. Jesus has spoken in vv. 24-26 of martyrdom as a realistic prospect for those who follow him, but not all of them will “taste” that death before his kingship is revealed to them. Some of them may be martyred before that, but not all.
So how and when might some of them expect to see “the Son of Man coming in his kingship”? Perhaps the simplest answer is to link these words with the further allusion to Dan 7:14 in 28:18, where after the resurrection eleven of them (“some,” not all, following the death of Judas) will encounter p 641 Jesus now endowed with “all authority in heaven and on earth.” But that will be only the beginning of an extended period during which the newly established sovereignty of the Son of Man will be increasingly visible. The imminent “seeing” of v. 28 need not then be thought to exhaust the range of application of the fulfillment of Daniel’s vision. Verse 28 speaks of a more specific focus for the more general and timeless authority expressed in v. 27. See above on 10:23 for this range of application of the Daniel vision, and below on 26:64 on when Jesus’ judges in the Sanhedrin might be expected to “see” him as king and judge. So it is probably inappropriate to this saying to posit a specific time and place. The point is that while some of them are still alive it will have become clear to those with the eyes to see it that Jesus the Son of Man is enthroned as king.
But the immediate context here suggests another possibility which perhaps better suits the surprising phrase “some of those standing here.” Six days later (an unusually precise time-connection in Matthew, which suggests a deliberate linking of the two pericopes 16:24-28 and 17:1-8) just three (“some”) of those who heard Jesus’ words in 16:28 were to witness a “vision” (17:9) of Jesus in heavenly glory. This was a unique experience granted to those three alone; the rest of the Twelve would not see anything like that before they died. It may be questioned whether the vision on the mountain fully matches the promise of “seeing the Son of Man coming in his kingship,” as that kingship was yet to be established after his death and resurrection-hence, no doubt, Jesus’ instruction in 17:9 to keep the vision secret until after the resurrection. But it is likely that Matthew (and Mark and Luke, who use the same awkward phrase about “some of those standing here” and equally closely link that saying with the following account of the Transfiguration) saw in this vision at least a proleptic fulfillment of Jesus’ solemn words in v. 28, even though the truth of Jesus’ kingship was to be more concretely embodied in later events following his resurrection. -R. T. France, The Gospel of Matthew, The New International Commentary on the New Testament (Grand Rapids, MI: Wm. B. Eerdmans Publication Co., 2007), 640-641.

@@IslamCritiqued What these have to offer is already clearly indicated in the word “intellect.” That is: A narrowing of the perceptive capacity to purely earthly matters, and thus to the tiniest part of real existence.
By intellectuals we are to understand those who have unconditionally submitted themselves to their own intellect.
This very limitation brings them a so-called peak of comprehension, which must lead to such arrogant presumptions because they believe that they really are standing at the ultimate height. This is actually true so far as they are concerned, since they have arrived at that boundary which they cannot cross.
But their attacks on seekers for the Truth, so often inexplicably malevolent, clearly show, on closer observation, the whip of the Darkness brandished behind them. In most cases there is only blind fury, devoid of any real logic. Examine such attacks dispassionately.
The inane inferiority of the attacks is always quite strikingly apparent from the very fact that these are never kept purely objective! They are always overt or covert smear campaigns against the person of the Truth-seeker. This is only done by someone who is incapable of replying objectively. After all, a seeker for the Truth, or a bringer of the Truth, does not give himself personally, but he brings that which he speaks.
The word must be examined, not the person! It is a habit of the intellectuals to seek always to examine the person first, and then to consider whether they can listen to his words.
Owing to the narrow limitation of their perceptive capacity, these people need such an outward hold because they must cling to externals to prevent them from becoming confused. Indeed just this is the hollow structure which they erect, which is inadequate for men and a great hindrance to their advancement. If they had a firm inner stability they would simply let fact speak against fact, excluding the personal element altogether. But this they are unable to do. Indeed, they intentionally avoid it because they feel, or partly know, that in a well-ordered tournament they would be quickly unseated.
The intellect is and remains bound to time and space, that is to say earthbound; whereas the Godhead, and thus also the recognition of God and His Will, are above time and space and above all that is transitory, and therefore can never be grasped by the narrowly-confined intellect.
For this simple reason the intellect is not qualified to bring enlightenment in eternal values. Indeed it would be a contradiction. Therefore he who in these matters boasts of university qualifications, and would look down upon those who are not so influenced, thereby declares his own incompetence and limitation.
Only those with a calling can be true teachers. Those with a calling carry the ability within them. These abilities, however, do not ask for university training, but for the vibrations of a refined intuitive sensitivity able to soar above time and space, thus beyond the limit of comprehension of the earthly intellect.
Moreover, any inwardly free man will always evaluate a matter or a teaching according to what it brings, not according to who brings it. The latter is the strongest possible evidence of the incapacity of the one who examines. Gold is gold, whether a prince or a beggar holds it in his hand.
For those who are really seeking seriously do not permit themselves to be influenced by such distractions from examining the matter itself. But those who do allow themselves to be so influenced are not yet mature to receive the Truth. It is not for them.
But the hour is not far distant when a battle must be waged which has been lacking so far. The one-sidedness will end, and a sharp confrontation will follow which will destroy all false presumption.

It's not a false prophecy you idiot. Those prophecises were fulfilled in 70 AD when the temple and Old Covenant Jerusalem were destroyed. You don't even know how to interpret the basics. All things in the Law and Prophets have been fulfilled when the Son of Man came spiritually in judgement in 70 AD. Jesus said He was coming "on the clouds of heaven". This is Hebraic apocalyptic language meaning to come spiritually in judgement. Jesus did not say He was returning physically so you can stop waiting for Him, which is what your fake quran is telling you to do.
Then 600 years later a fake false prophet turned up in the slums of Arabia and attempted to out-perform Jesus. Your fake prophet failed. Everything was already fulfilled by the time your prophet turned up.

You don't believe your prophet was divine though. The prophets were for the Old Covenant age of Israel only. In the last days of Old Covenant Jerusalem, the book of Hebrews 1, 1-4 tells us, "God has spoken to us by His Son". The age of the prophets was coming to an end. It's not the first time people in Old Covenant Israel said they were divine. The judges of Israel were called Elohim (Hebrew word for god with a small "g"). The High Priest in the temple was called the "divine word" and the "first born son" by Philo of Alexander, because only the High Priest had the authority to go into the Most Holy Place once a year in the temple for the remission of the sins of Israel. When the Old Covenant temple passed away in 70 AD, Jesus became the High Priest of a new and better Covenant. Jesus, in the book of John, was called the "Divine Word" and the "first born son", a title that Philo first used about the High Priest. The temple was thought to be the dwelling place of God, a portal between heaven and earth or between God and man. Jesus knew the temple was going to fall in the generation He was in. So there would come a time when Jesus was the new mediator between heaven and earth. If Jesus is the new mediator between God and man then Jesus is fully divine and fully man. It makes sense if you take into account the history of 1st century Jerusalem and its temple. This is what a remnant of righteous Jews were waiting for. A new mediator between heaven and earth with a new and better Covenant. If the temple was still standing, then Christianity wouldn't make any sense and I believe it would never have grown the way it did.

I always thought it was about the day of Pentecost that was refereed to, you know, the kingdom of heaven coming to earth. But as I looked it up closely, I realized you were right. The focus is on the son of man, and his coming.
But can this verse mean more things at the same time?
    1) that Jesus came to earth in the first place, with his kingdom
    2) that he went to heaven with power, and

I think a better option is that Jesus is referring to the transfiguration. Peter seems to make that connection in 2 Peter 1:16-18. (And in the synoptics Jesus' prediction is followed by the transfiguration, which is introduced with "six days after this" (or something simliar, depending on which of the Gospels you read), which may indicate the author seeing a link between Jesus' promise and the transfiguration.)

The definite interpretation is in what comes after the text both in all the gospels, Matthew 17, Mark 9, and Luke 9, when Jesus demonstrated the kingdom that will be inaugurated after his death. The kingdom of heaven, or the kingdom of God. The spiritual rule of God in The believing in his son by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which was preached first by Peter after the Pentecost. This was revealed in it’s symbolic consummation revealed to them in Moses the dead believers, and Elijah the raptured believers.

I’ve often considered that Islamic apologists won’t engage you in debate because they know full well that they cannot counter rational arguments against their belief system. The fact that the name itself translates to “submission” should tell you everything you need to know. Islam is the creation of man and man alone, there is absolutely nothing divine about it. If you start to question any of the many gaping holes in the so called religion of peace, you will immediately see the clear evidence that this is a false religion and that Muhammad was nothing more than a man who falsely claimed to be a prophet. A belief in Islam requires that a person disengage intellectually and blindly follow whatever they are told, it’s in the name....

'A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) used to pronounce while bowing and prostrating himself:
All Glorious, All Holy, Lord of the Angels and the Spirit.

When Jesus spoke about the eye of the body being full of light, and if that eye be darkened, how great is that darkness, He was not speaking about vision, but about discernment and spiritual understanding. The Muslims' spiritual understanding has become darkened, therefore they stumble about and cannot find the truth because they do not love the truth.
Example of Nabeel Qureshi: he came out of Islam but he loved the truth. He could not deny the truth and left Islam, despising what it would cost him, to have the experience he always sought, that of the presence of the Living God.
Islam is like a snare, it is hard to extricate one's foot from it.
When a person has been taught not to think, it is difficult to use your own mental faculties to recognize that you have been lied to. Moreover, they are told that Allah is the "best of all deceivers" and even Abu Baker reinforced this statement. But like a blind man who is told the sunset is a beautiful red today, they do not know what the color "red" is. They do not know love as is Islamic god is not love. It is how the light or rather the lack of "mental light" is working against Muslims, for as Jesus said "Woe unto you if the light within you is darkness, for how profound that darkness is".
Most days I remember to pray that Jesus Himself sets the Muslims free so that they are no longer chained and that He restores their sight and come to His Light. Thank you for your channel so it spurns me on to asking Jesus to break the chains of darkness.

Islam does lower the intellect of muslims. While muslim children's brains are still forming, the parents and imams force them to do rote memorization, instead of spending more time on teaching them numbers, letters, colors, shapes, how to create and think abstractly, how to use logic, how to analyse and think for themselves. And just by reading the quran, it encourages cognitive dissonance, because within each chapter, random verses are thrown together that have nothing to do with the other verses in the chapter. They are organized mathematically, by the human compilers of the quran, instead of chronologically or by content.
And they think they can read The Bible and other books the same way. So they have learned to take a verse, they find troublesome for their ideology and instead of reading the chapter and book the verse is in, they make an assumption based on the islamic method and viewpoint. When they have a question about a verse in the quran, they can't read through the chapter it is within, in order to understand it. They have to go ask an imam to tell them what to believe.
I doubt that many muslims are able to enjoy novels, because they haven't learned how to read for comprehension.
Plus a very large percentage of muslims are born victims of consanguineous marriages- so prevalent in islamic communities. They damaged their gene pool with their tradition of first cousin marriages, especially considering it happens generation after generation.

they quote the Bible, but they never study it, because if they did they'd be singing a different tune -
Prophet Isaiah 7:14 - Virgin birth of the Messiah Christ
Prophet Jeremiah 31:22 - the virgin would compass a man - have no physical relations with a man - the Divine conception
Prophet Micah 5:2 - Messiah Christ born in Bethlehem
Prophet Isaiah 9:6 - child born, son given, Messiah Christ called the Mighty God Everlasting Father
Prophet Isaiah chapter 53 - Messiah Christ will be put to death for our sins and his days will be prolonged (resurrected)
Gospel of John 4:25-26 - Jesus flat out claims to be the Messiah Christ who is called the Mighty God Everlasting Father, the one whose ways have been of old even of Everlasting
Jesus in the Gospels said in His name to cast out Devils. In the temptation in the wilderness Jesus rebuked Satan, and again when Satan tried to rebuke Christ through Peter Jesus said "Get thee behind me Satan" and then in the temptation He said in Matthew 4 “is it not written, tempt not the Lord your God”.
Furthermore, we also see Jesus forgiving sins of people (the cripple man, the woman caught in adultery, and Mary who washed His feet), Jesus accepting worship of individuals He healed (the 3 Wise men, the blind man, the Mother of the sons of Zebedee, Roman Centurion, the Rich Ruler, lepers, and the disciples and Thomas after the resurrection), and in John 10:18 Jesus says He has power to lay down His life and raise Himself from the dead (personal power over life and death), and in John 10:27-28 Jesus says that He personally gives eternal life, and in John 4:26 Jesus claims to be the Christ Messiah as prophesied of (Isaiah 9:6 called the Mighty God, Everlasting Father), and also in John 8 stating that He is the "I Am" multiple times (I Am in Greek is "ego eimi" meaning the Always Existing One) and the Pharisees tried to stone Him for blasphemy. An angel, prophet, or holy man couldn’t do that.
Using only the Bible you can prove beyond any doubt that Jesus Christ Himself is the Mighty God just as the Prophet Isaiah says - Isaiah 9:6) "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Christ Jesus is the Creator God -
Ephesians 3:9) "And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:"
John 1:1-3) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
Hebrews 1:2) "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"
Hebrews 11:3) "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Colossians 1:16) "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"
Christ Jesus is above all others -
Philippians 2:10-11) "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Romans 14:11) "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."
Isaiah 45:22-23) "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear."
    The Word made Flesh-
John 1:1-2) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God."
John 1:14) "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
1 John 5:7) "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
    Additional passages -
2 Corinthians 5:19) "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
John 8:58) "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." - - ("I am" in the Greek is "ego eimi" meaning Always Existing, the everlasting to everlasting one)
John 10:25-30) "Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. -- (1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.)"
If Christ is not God, how can He grant eternal life to His followers?
Acts 20:28) "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." - - (literally just said right there that God purchased the church with His own blood)
Colossians 2:8-9) "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." - - (the entire fullness, Jehovah God is in the body of Jesus. Thus why Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father, the Father in me and I in Him, and also to His disciples receive ye my Spirit and He breathed on them the Holy Spirit.)
Philippians 2:5-8) "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
    Further Proof -
John 20:28-29) "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
1 Timothy 3:16) "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
1 Timothy 4:10) "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe."
Titus 2:13) "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;"
2 Peter 1:1) "Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:"
1 John 5:20) "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life."

And they say that St. Paul “hijacked” Christianity when a lot of the things they’re attributing to him were there before he even came on board.

There is no basis for good and evil in Islam, only that which is Islamic or not Islamic. In biblical Christianity and OT faithful Judaism, good is that which is founded by and conforms to God's intrinsic nature, evil is that which doesn't.

Man, anytime I see a Muslim or even unitarian cults within Christianity try and use the Gospel of John to make their points I just recoil....The guy believed Jesus was fully God in *every way* and out of the 4 Gospels, he emphasized Jesus' divinity the most, yet you have some people who don't know any better *CONSTANTLY* quoting from John

I don't have a problem with Matthew 16:28 referring to the Parousia. As a preterist, I believe it was within a generation (Matt. 24:34). Certainly there will have been Christians that saw Christ resurrected that were still alive and living in Jerusalem at the time of the Roman-Jewish war in 70AD. You are probably aware of the 1st century historians who record eye-witness testimony of celestial chariots and such.
I gather that you are not a preterist yourself.
Also, Jesus could have been referring to the Transfiguration which took place shortly after this statement.

Yes, the transfiguration as well, and it could be both/and. I think I mentioned that in this video. If not, I did elsewhere. Thanks for your comment!
