Islam Critiqued you are still infant you read in bible no one can see God and live. God can't be seen in this life. Moses never saw God he insisted to see but when God wanted to let him glimpse Him there was expolsion and the mount was burnt and Moses was tainted. God talked to him on many occasions, that's reason we call Musa kaleemullah one that talked to God. God never appeared to Ibrahim nor Jacob wrestled with him these are childish mentality. Bring yourself up and understand the quality of God what Islam says about him. He is one and only, have is self sufficient, he is neither son of anything nor is father of anything, there's nothing like unto him. If you say God is like this or like that you are still a child. So I see what you say, then I also read in Exodus 33:11 where it says, "The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend." This is in the SAME CHAPTER is "no one may see me and live." So apparently there are some things you're missing. And I read Genesis 15 where it says, "After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision..." Then I read Isaiah 6 where it says, "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple." Then I read Ezekial 1 where it says, "In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God." It's almost as though God in the Old Testament took on- human form? Where have I seen that again? Oh yeah, the New Testament as well. So....hmmm. Something tells me you're not taking into account all of the Biblical data when you attempt your interpretation.
I have all of the Sahih collections. I posted numerous videos on "corruption". You have failed to defeat the points I make in any of them. So, on my channel, you do not have the ground to discuss this topic anymore until you engage with and defeat the content in those videos. Regardless, you have much to deal with in this video. Talk about Muhammad's "theology" for example, his concept of divine love. Talk about the ad-hoc revelations and self-serving nature of them. Defend your prophet. As former Muslim myself I wanted to add that Muslims do hear from the one true God but they chose to remain in Islam because of what they will lose.... family , friends , culture , job , way of life and their own lives. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." Even verse 43 " I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?" If you break down both texts, the gospels and the Qu'ran. You'd see that the latter crumbles

Thank you. I was an atheist for 12 years engaged to a gorgeous woman who was faithful and caring and from a large Christian family. They told me constantly they’d pray for me and I basically laughed in their face, told them “good luck” then this past December (nearly a year ago already!) the Holy Spirit filled me and I instantly knew that Jesus is the Messiah, that Mohamed is the spirit of the antichrist to lead us away from salvation, and many other incredible things I didn’t believe were true whatsoever. The "humanity" verse is one of the most taken out of context verses in the Quran. It makes it seem as if it's bad to kill a person cuz if you do, you kill humanity also. What Muslims won't do is read the verse before and after that humanity verse. It's basically the Quran quoting the Torah and it's telling Jews and Christians not to do that but the next verse is where we are told what God tells the Muslims to do which is; 5:33 "Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,".
I would suggest a title that will attract Muslims like if you put a question mark at the end some might think "oh here is a video to defend our prophet" then BAM, they listen to the video and they are in shock. but when you put a title like this they say "oh well another blah blah video about our precious prophet why bother." just my opinion.
@@IslamCritiqued There are two books in the Old Testament (Daniel and Zechariah) which say vision and prophecy were going to be sealed up or cease at the end of the age of Old Covenant Israel. The end of the age of the Old Covenant was in 70 AD. Islam was invented in the 6th/7th century. That fact alone proves Mo was a false prophet. He came along long after vision and prophecy were sealed up. Mo was another megalomaniac, like Joseph Smith, who attempted to out-perform Jesus, and like Joseph Smith he failed.

Just think of all the judgements of Muhammad you have to be perfectly submitted to, not only in the Qur'an but in all the hadiths as well, and of course you have to figure out perfectly which of the thousands of often contradicting hadiths are true and which are just made up by generations of arab story tellers between the time of Muhammad in Mecca and say Al Bukhari roughly 240 years later and a thousand miles away in Basra or Damascus or Cairo etc. Otherwise you'll never be a true Muslim.

Hi Colin, this is great ... a good basic introduction, but I’d really like to see a deep dive. I was looking forward to hearing all of those 30 verses in the Quran & comparing them with 30 opposite verses in the bible. I would love to see this. This is such a huge topic & I think you could go deeper on each of these. I think it would be very powerful. IMO the problem with the "great-making attributes" argument is that merciful vs. unmerciful, just vs. unjust, etc., are cultural norms. If you grow up in a culture where (for example) being adept at deception is considered admirable, then it's not honesty but guile that would be the "great-making" attribute; cf., The Greatest of Deceivers™. Similarly, in cultures where mercy represents weakness, being unmerciful would be the "great-making" attribute. In order for this argument to be persuasive among Muslims, you have to appeal to what _they_ consider to be great-making qualities--and that can be a challenge, because while Western Muslims may be inclined to recognize Western standards of greatness, other Muslims tend to define greatness in terms of whatever is attributed to Allah and Muhammad. Remind them that Allah calls himself the Greatest of Deceivers, or cite examples of how Muhammad made treaties with people and then broke them, and they're likely to find those things admirable, not abhorrent. (And if you refer to the Bible for God's characteristics, to show where Allah falls short (hint: everywhere), then every contradiction is cited as "proof" that the Taurat and Injeel have been corrupted.)

Might as well set them up for recording these videos that way everything is consistent (which makes it more efficient=faster) for these videos. This is because He was made for a little while lower than the angels (Heb. 2:9) and had emptied Himself and taken on the form of a man (Phil. 2:7). This would explain why in Matt. 12:22-32, when the Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons by the power of the devil, Jesus said that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would never be forgiven? Why? Because Jesus, as a man who was ministering completely as a man under the Law (Gal. 4:4-5), did His miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit. This demonstrates that Christ was completely human and dependent upon God and that He was cooperating with the limitations of being human. That is why He said He didn't know the day or hour of His return.However, we see that after the resurrection of Christ that it is said of Him that He knows all things (John 21:17) and that He is omnipresent (Matt. 28:20). Therefore, after His resurrection and glorification, the Lord Jesus did know all things.

How would you address a reply, that even many Christians might say about God having a performance based love, when reading Bible passages that clearly say God hates the wicked in old testament writings even though New Testament reveals a God who loves sinners enough to die for them? ie. PS 11:5, PS 5:5, PR 6:16-19 We often here it said that it was Ghandi who came up with the phrase, "Hate the sin, love the sinner." Although the concept not the phrase seems clearly taught throughout New testament theology. But how does that coincide with the never changing God of both old and new testament?
1. Psalm 5 and 11 are two “Psalms of David” which contain some of the “hatred” language you're referring to, as you noted, so I'll start there. With respect to your question about “performance-based love”, this is explicitly rejected in the Pslams themselves, in Psalm 143 (to name one), also a Psalm of David. Verse 2: “Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.” David acknowledges that he is not deserving of God's mercy, neither is anyone else, all are incapable of earning it, so he appeals not to any sort of works based merit- rather he appeals to the love of God in verse 8: “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.” More in verse 12, “In your unfailing love, silence my enemies.” The word “love” here in Hebrew is used 206 times and many of those usages speak of God's love as it is related to his covenant. It's an active love. Not only does he “love”, but he does something to show it. “Loyal love” for short. Again, David clearly acknowledges he is not deserving of God's love and mercy, (“no one living is righteous...”), yet he rests in the comfort of God's promises because of God's unfailing love. Sounds kind of like the New Testament... Some more examples: Numbers 14:19, " In accordance with your great love [same Hebrew word as Ps 143:12], forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now..." Psalm 6:4, "Turn, LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love [same Hebrew word]". Again, this is not merit-based. The source of forgiveness is rooted in God's love. 2. Malachi 1:3, “Esau I have hated”. The term for “hatred” is related to a term used in ancient near eastern legal covenants. It denotes, not personal malice, but covenantal rejection. (On a side note, since we just came from Psalm 143, the words for “love” in these two chapters are different Hebrew words.) Paul interprets this passage in this exact context, in terms of the Abrahamic covenant, in Romans 9:11, “Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad...” and then he quotes Malachi 1:3 in verse 13. Not even the covenant itself was based on “works”. Rather, it was based on God's sovereign choice. 3. Just quickly, you do get passages like Deut 5:10 where God "shows love" to those who keep his commandments. But one has to keep this covenant/love dynamic in view. If Israel rebelled, the covenant was broken in the sense that God removed his divine protection. This happened. God allowed the nation to be exiled. God's covenant protection had been removed, but his love remained. Punishment is with a view toward restoration of the covenant and the relationship between God and his people. And the basis of that covenant is God's love. Is 16:5, "In love [same Hebrew word] a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it one from the house of David..." Is 54:10, "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love [same Hebrew word] for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you..." The last thing I would say is that we should be careful not to import any notions of human emotional "contamination" into the emotions of God when we read them in the text. For example, there's no reason God, in his holy nature, cannot be righteously "jealous". The same is true for hatred. God can despise the wicked, but still plead with them out of his great love as he does in Ezekiel, "Turn and live!"
Islam Critiqued... Yes it seems as though God can both love the wicked and hate the wicked for their wickedness at the same time. Certainly in the end he doesn't punish a person's sins eternally in hell, but the person.. Even though New Testament reveals how it brings God no pleasure, so that implies a form of love for his creature his justice must now eternally punish. I fully agree God loves all people, even sinners he knows he will in the end commit to hell, but somehow in his mysterious ways he chose to save a few of us sinners to awaken with his Spirit by bringing us to faith in Jesus. For this I am eternally grateful and filled with reciprocal love. But many legalist and hateful bands of certain "Christian" people like to promote God hates "xyz" sinners and quote those verses out of Biblical context, but yet it seems to be a hard thing to on the surface deny that those verses that directly say God hates wicked people as in Psalms and proverbs that almost looks to contradict the vast majority that clearly state he loves all people. Hate the sin and love the sinner is our ultimate way for us humans to live it out, and let God work out who must face his wrath in the end... Even though he doesn't want to do so.. Clearly evidenced by the Son coming to die for all men who would come to him. I'm not sure if this would be considered one of the Biblical paradoxes or not, but seems likely to me.

The term 'son of God' is a commonly used term by the Jews and it is just used for someone close to God. Loads of people in the Bible have been called sons of God, it is not exclusive to Jesus! Also the idea of the Trinity and Jesus being God incarnate came primarily from Saint Paul. Yet you never seem to question him on his claim although he never met or saw Jesus. So I see what you say, then I also read in Exodus 33:11 where it says, "The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend." The "humanity" verse is one of the most taken out of context verses in the Quran. It makes it seem as if it's bad to kill a person cuz if you do, you kill humanity also. What Muslims won't do is read the verse before and after that humanity verse. It's basically the Quran quoting the Torah and it's telling Jews and Christians not to do that but the next verse is where we are told what God tells the Muslims to do which is;

There are two books in the Old Testament (Daniel and Zechariah) which say vision and prophecy were going to be sealed up or cease at the end of the age of Old Covenant Israel. The end of the age of the Old Covenant was in 70 AD. Islam was invented in the 6th/7th century. That fact alone proves Mo was a false prophet. This is such a huge topic & I think you could go deeper on each of these. I think it would be very powerful. IMO the problem with the "great-making attributes" argument is that merciful vs. unmerciful, just vs. unjust, etc., are cultural norms. If you grow up in a culture where (for example) being adept at deception is considered admirable, then it's not honesty but guile that would be the "great-making" attribute; cf., The Greatest of Deceivers™. Similarly, in cultures where mercy represents weakness, being unmerciful would be the "great-making" attribute.
In order for this argument to be persuasive among Muslims, you have to appeal to what _they_ consider to be great-making qualities--and that can be a challenge, because while Western Muslims may be inclined to recognize Western standards of greatness, other Muslims tend to define greatness in terms of whatever is attributed to Allah and Muhammad. Remind them that Allah calls himself the Greatest of Deceivers, or cite examples of how Muhammad made treaties with people and then broke them, and they're likely to find those things admirable, not abhorrent.
(And if you refer to the Bible for God's characteristics, to show where Allah falls short (hint: everywhere), then every contradiction is cited as "proof" that the Taurat and Injeel have been corrupted.)

That is why He said He didn't know the day or hour of His return.However, we see that after the resurrection of Christ that it is said of Him that He knows all things (John 21:17) and that He is omnipresent (Matt. 28:20). Therefore, after His resurrection and glorification, the Lord Jesus did know all things.
I encourage you too understand and study Christian theology, you can't argue a Christianity that Islam has made up. Thanks.

"God created everything through his word and his very breath (holy Spirit) was the host of it" that means the word was uncreated . God's word isn't another god . It's just gods unique personality. How would you address a reply, that even many Christians might say about God having a performance based love, when reading Bible passages that clearly say God hates the wicked in old testament writings even though New Testament reveals a God who loves sinners enough to die for them? ie. PS 11:5, PS 5:5, PR 6:16-19
We often here it said that it was Ghandi who came up with the phrase, "Hate the sin, love the sinner." Although the concept not the phrase seems clearly taught throughout New testament theology. But how does that coincide with the never changing God of both old and new testament?
1. Psalm 5 and 11 are two “Psalms of David” which contain some of the “hatred” language you're referring to, as you noted, so I'll start there. With respect to your question about “performance-based love”, this is explicitly rejected in the Pslams themselves, in Psalm 143 (to name one), also a Psalm of David. Verse 2: “Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.” David acknowledges that he is not deserving of God's mercy, neither is anyone else, all are incapable of earning it, so he appeals not to any sort of works based merit- rather he appeals to the love of God in verse 8: “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.” More in verse 12, “In your unfailing love, silence my enemies.” The word “love” here in Hebrew is used 206 times and many of those usages speak of God's love as it is related to his covenant. It's an active love. Not only does he “love”, but he does something to show it. “Loyal love” for short. Again, David clearly acknowledges he is not deserving of God's love and mercy, (“no one living is righteous...”), yet he rests in the comfort of God's promises because of God's unfailing love. Sounds kind of like the New Testament...
Some more examples: Numbers 14:19, " In accordance with your great love [same Hebrew word as Ps 143:12], forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now..." Psalm 6:4, "Turn, LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love [same Hebrew word]". Again, this is not merit-based. The source of forgiveness is rooted in God's love.
2. Malachi 1:3, “Esau I have hated”. The term for “hatred” is related to a term used in ancient near eastern legal covenants. It denotes, not personal malice, but covenantal rejection. (On a side note, since we just came from Psalm 143, the words for “love” in these two chapters are different Hebrew words.) Paul interprets this passage in this exact context, in terms of the Abrahamic covenant, in Romans 9:11, “Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad...” and then he quotes Malachi 1:3 in verse 13. Not even the covenant itself was based on “works”. Rather, it was based on God's sovereign choice.
3. Just quickly, you do get passages like Deut 5:10 where God "shows love" to those who keep his commandments. But one has to keep this covenant/love dynamic in view. If Israel rebelled, the covenant was broken in the sense that God removed his divine protection. This happened. God allowed the nation to be exiled. God's covenant protection had been removed, but his love remained. Punishment is with a view toward restoration of the covenant and the relationship between God and his people. And the basis of that covenant is God's love. Is 16:5, "In love [same Hebrew word] a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it one from the house of David..." Is 54:10, "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love [same Hebrew word] for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you..."
The last thing I would say is that we should be careful not to import any notions of human emotional "contamination" into the emotions of God when we read them in the text. For example, there's no reason God, in his holy nature, cannot be righteously "jealous". The same is true for hatred. God can despise the wicked, but still plead with them out of his great love as he does in Ezekiel, "Turn and live!"

Yes it seems as though God can both love the wicked and hate the wicked for their wickedness at the same time. Certainly in the end he doesn't punish a person's sins eternally in hell, but the person.. Even though New Testament reveals how it brings God no pleasure, so that implies a form of love for his creature his justice must now eternally punish.
I fully agree God loves all people, even sinners he knows he will in the end commit to hell, but somehow in his mysterious ways he chose to save a few of us sinners to awaken with his Spirit by bringing us to faith in Jesus. For this I am eternally grateful and filled with reciprocal love. But many legalist and hateful bands of certain "Christian" people like to promote God hates "xyz" sinners and quote those verses out of Biblical context, but yet it seems to be a hard thing to on the surface deny that those verses that directly say God hates wicked people as in Psalms and proverbs that almost looks to contradict the vast majority that clearly state he loves all people. Hate the sin and love the sinner is our ultimate way for us humans to live it out, and let God work out who must face his wrath in the end... Even though he doesn't want to do so.. Clearly evidenced by the Son coming to die for all men who would come to him.
I'm not sure if this would be considered one of the Biblical paradoxes or not, but seems likely to me.

Here’s some data on the Hebrew word behind the English word translated “hate”. Numerous of these occur with God as the antecedent in the Psalms. You’ve listed a couple occurrences in your original comment. Note that also “enemies” or “foes” are a form of the same Hebrew lemma, which is why the quotations below are relevant. With respect to the Psalms, it’s important to keep in mind the archetypical language. With respect to this “enemy” language specifically:
“Still, this enemy image that resembles the human being is regularly transcendentalized: ‘It is obvious that the psalms are describing not a reality that faced righteous men at any particular time, but-apparently-present a picture of the utmost degree of godlessness and violent evil, a picture that already existed for them in the tradition they received.’ The ‘exaggerated colors and dimensions’ mark the enemy as the ‘archetype,’ as the ‘primal image’ of all that is evil, all that ruins human beings, all that corrupts creation, and all that separates from Yahweh. Numerous other texts containing this word with God as the antecedent occur,
with God hating the deeds (or the results of those deeds): Deut 12:31, “You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates.”
Deut 16:22, “…and do not erect a sacred stone, for these the Lord your God hates.”
Isaiah 1:14, “Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals I hate with all my being.”
Isaiah 61:8, “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing.”
Jeremiah 44:4, “Again and again I sent my servants the prophets, who said, ‘Do not do this detestable thing that I hate!’”
Amos 5:21, “I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies are
a stench to me.”
Zech 8:17, “do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,” declares the Lord
Of course these are similar to what we read in Revelation 2:6, “You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.”
To my knowledge, this leaves only two texts remaining:
Jeremiah 12:8, “My inheritance has become to me like a lion in the forest. She roars at me; therefore I hate her.”
Hos 9:15, “Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal, I hated them there.”
The contexts of these verses are both very similar to our previously discussed Mal 1:3- the breaking of the covenant, the removal of divine protection. But this rejection is still compatible with God’s love as Jeremiah 12:7 states. To quote both Jeremiah 12:7-8 together, “I will give the one I love into the hands of her enemies. My inheritance has become to me like a lion in the forest. She roars at me; therefore I hate her.” Even as a savage, fiercely opposed roaring “lion” which Israel had become, hated and subsequently rejected by God, the nation was still called, “the one I love.”
It seems "hate" in the OT, where God is the antecedent has to be understood along with covenant rejection. Hope this helps.

A prophet cannot make false statements an still be a prophet. Mohamed said that" Jesus was a prophet" but then said he was not the son of god, but Jesus said that he was the son of god. So who is the false prophet here?
The term 'son of God' is a commonly used term by the Jews and it is just used for someone close to God. Loads of people in the Bible have been called sons of God, it is not exclusive to Jesus! Also the idea of the Trinity and Jesus being God incarnate came primarily from Saint Paul. Yet you never seem to question him on his claim although he never met or saw Jesus.
You say Jesus is God, yet many times in the bible Jesus prayed. Why was Jesus praying to himself?
