HIDDEN spots near popular LANDMARKS in the GOYT VALLEY

- The Goyt valley has got to be one of the best places to explore in the Peak District national park. This beautiful valley, close to Buxton has something to offer everyone. Nature, Landscapes, Landmarks and History are all here to be found.
This walk of roughly 6 miles covers so much and those that explore just off the beaten path will be rewarded my countless hidden gems. As well as county high points (Shining Tor, Cheshire), military aircraft crash sites, ruined and abandoned countryside mansions, a hidden shrine and a secret waterfall. Come with me as I take you from moorland to woodlands on what I consider to be the best walk you can do in the Goyt Valley.

A really good video Thom - thank you. I've done the same walk and others round the Goyt valley - and i keep coming back. It's not busy; the views are spectacular and it helps you to reflect / decompress from everyday life. Enjoyed the commentary - so much to see. The only add i'd give is for people to park at Errwood carpark and walk up to Pym's Chair - nothing like a challenging start.
For other suggestions - how about Lyme Park both inside and ealks over to Bollington and Macclesfield?

I was up here yesterday, walked the reservoirs, up to Cat Tor and then across to Shining Tor, got absolutely battered by wind and rain 😂
I'm not surprised 😂 its been absolute grim with the wind and rain the last couple of days, good on for you still getting out into the hills for a walk 👍 other than the wind the day I filmed this making the audio/video bit more challenging, it was a good day out for the walk. @ThomTopics i didnt think the audio was too bad considering the conditions. Its the challenges we face as outdoor content creators.
