Wow. Never knew about this place. Thank you :)
Hi guy's ive only gone and found it today thank u for inspiring me to keep looking for beautiful places love u guy's ❤
Alport castles is one of my favourites, cracking video and some good places to visit!!
Thank you Mr Viking! 🤘
Like the water fall and the rocks 👍👍👍
This is great ti see as Most of England is green country side with historical villages and beaches with cliffs .
We went yesterday. 5th June 2022 unfortunately it was just a trickle but still amazing place and well worth the scramble and had the place to ourselves. Video to be uploaded soon x
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
England? OK! ''WAAAAAAAATEEEEEEERFAAAAALLLLLLLLLLS!'' (Yes, we love them, lol!) x
Haha thanks! 😅 Waterfalls are lovely!!
Beautiful place guys xx
Thanks Millie 🙌☺️
Totally agree..
Great video guys really enjoyed it.
Thanks John 🙌
Swallets are geographical features which are boulder choked fissures, through which a river decends underground. The manifold valley is a good example, and the river manifold re- appears in the grounds of Ilam Park. I do not know how true this is because i have never seen any but it is said there are white trout there
Imagine it in the summer, makes you want to have a shower beneath it, but in the summer! Thank you.
Amazing. Didnt know this place. Marked it on the map to visit in the near future. Good video again, technically really good.
Walked from Eyam to the waterfall today and called at Stella’s Kitchen for coffee. Superb.
Shame you could not scramble to the top, maybe it's to protect it if it gets busy. Cracking looking waterfall. Cheers for sharing
Just thought that you'd like to know that the stream that sinks here resurges in Stoney Middleton, quite an underground journey!
Thanks so much for the facts that's very interesting 😊 we didn't know that! 😅👍
Wow!! That waterfall is amazing, thanks for taking us there, and Peter's Stone too, the views around there look amazing, another great video❤️❤️❤️💚💙 xxx
Glad you enjoyed the video ♥️☺️😍 xxx
Great edit on the intro! Had us hooked from the start.
Katie is the instability queen (her ankles are like sugar-glass!), so thanks for the head's up 🤣
Love, Love, Love❤️
I cannot wait for the summer to get my walking boots back on with the kids an get back to the peaks, I unfortunately live down down south an with kids at school an how the weather's been I'd rather not risk being poorly.
An I gets coldddddd there an the wind is more than just wimd isn't it 🥶🥶🥶 xx
It was very windy to the front of peters stone that day!! We had hand warmers to try and keep us warm 😅 a hot drink definitely helped a bit 😊👍 not long until warmer days now 😊
@@HayandKyle absolutely, my partner lives in Halifax so I'm there most school holidays, we love walking to hard castle crag, such a lovely river walk, an the stepping stones are so much fun for the kids.
But we definitely need a pool with a waterfall to keep cool this summer ❤️
Nice cave, and great hike. Thank you for sharing and wishing you a great week.
Thanking you for watching! :) Have a great week yourself!!
Great video guys . I was going to say that waterfall would of been great place to go in the summer and cool off a bit but like you said it's just a little trickle. Thanks for another great vlog. Live mum and dad.😘😘😘😘
Thanks 🙏🙌☺️
Lovely secluded location, great video you two 😎
Love your work & videos.
Very informative, thankyou.
Keep them coming 👍
Another I haven’t any previous knowledge of, I’ll be sure to visit one day. I really like a good waterfall, such power in a real zen moment!
Definitely agree, it was really peaceful 👍 made a nice combo with the Peters Stone ⛰️
Awesome view is very beautiful my friend
Thank you so much 😊🙌
Some of those shots are insane! Really creative
Thanks Ross 😊 the insta360 does all the hard work 👍😅
Really enjoyed this video and seeing the waterfall. It looked amazing. Thanks for 'taking' us there as it's a place I won't be able to visit unfortunately! Another triumph. Well done! 🤗❤
Thank youuu ♥️♥️😊
Thanks to our Dynamic Duo, those of us unable to can benefit from Hay and Kylie guiding us along their paths...much gratitude....E
That waterfall looks absolutely epic, I have never heard of that spot so will be sure to plan a trip sometime soon. Interesting to see the signs now up at Peters stone, they weren’t there last time I visited in the summer. I seem to remember there was an incident recently where mountain rescue had to be called when somebody injured themselves in the dale.
Thanks Harrison 😊👍 yeah those signs looked brand new to be fair! Definitely wouldn't have attempted it that day anyway with the high winds! Wonder if the person injured themselves on the stone? 🤔
@Thom Topics Been catching up on your old videos lately 👍
@@El_Smeghead Thats great, thank you Andy 👍 I hope you are enjoying them. I have been a little light on posting new video lately but hopefully the new ones I'm currently working on will be worth the wait.
Wow thanks for this video guys! I've recently got a car and I've been taking my dog to the peak District every weekend, he absolutely loves it there, we will definitely be coming to see this over the bank holiday 😁
Great video as usual, not far from Buxton so will like to check this out.
I knew I was right! 😉 good video, really enjoyed it, take care
So good to see another one of your outings, really enjoyed it - top quality! Best wishes
Thanks again for the comments! 👍😊 Was a great day 🙌 bit windy but always worth it 👍
Amazing video as always and especially love your music choices, I could have watched all day, so relaxing xx
Thanks so much 😊
Hi Guys this is one of best yet the filming is so good. That top end of cressbrook is actually called Peter dale if I remember correctly the whole area is a fave of mine. is the 3 stags at wardlow Mires still going a great little pub. I went to swallett a few time in the 70/80s but the landowner did all he could to keeppeople out barbed wire fencing etc I guess things have changed. Just back from a walk down the cliffs here. Hoping to get a day in filming in the peak in May on my birth day return back home to see my son.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Always nice to speak to you in the comments. Thanks for letting us know about Peter Dale, clearly we need more time with OS maps 😅 We had a lot of fun filming this one, we're glad yku enjoyed it. Thanks again, see you in the next one 👍😊
@@HayandKyle I wished all this wonderful smallish tech(Drones, hand held gimbals, 360deg etc) and software had been available in my climbing and biking days. Now my pastimes are breadbaking and coffee nerdity not that exciting to film I'm afraid.
@@lizarddronedude3617 disagree, coffee nerdity is a thing on RUclips! Lots of slow mo coffee pouring action, especially on Peter McKinnons channel 😅☕☕ Get your camera out 🎥👍😊
@@HayandKyle Watched em all mate its all been covered same with sourdough. I'm looking to do something for little walk vids around here don't want the expense of a full blown Sony/Nikon/Canon camera thought about upgrading my phone(it needs it as about 6yrs old) and getting a handheld gimbal or buying a Gimbal and camera in one unit a'la DJI etc any thoughts on my choices please.
@@lizarddronedude3617 our older vlogs were all shot on my phone as it shoots 4k footage, (Huawei P20 Pro) I think 4k is overkill however and the file sizes are huge. Any modern flagship phone these days are absolute power houses for filming. We also used the DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal for my phone which helped stability. Lots of choice these days without emptying the bank 👍
epic, been planning on visiting the swallet soon 👍
The waterfall looked stunning, never heard of this hidden gem. We did the Five Dales walk a few years ago which goes though near the St. Peter's Stone but we approached from the trail above it and winded down. Beautiful area which we'd like to go to again. Thanks for sharing guys 👍
That walk sounds fab, will have to give that one a go at some point 👍 thanks for commenting as always ladies, much appreciated 🙌 😊
Great video, very informative of the local landmarks - and great footage too! :)
Thanks for watching Shane!!
Thanks so much for this, I had seen it and the one on private land on a map a while ago and wanted to investigate but this definitely made it a priority.
Had a lovely picnic here and had it all to ourselves too X
Thanks Zoy 🤗 we haven't seen the one on private land but understand that this one is part of national trust longshaw estate, so figured was alright to go and see ☺️ it's so secluded isn't it?! Thought we would encounter lots of people at this little gem 👌
Nice video. Moving water is always fascinating.
Thanks Patricia 😊👍
Thanks for watching Patricia, we agree :)
Good stuff, best wishes from the wirral peninsula...E
Thanks Eamonn 😅☺️👍
At a risk of sounding simple, I enjoy saying the word swallet 🤪
Loved this guys. To bad you couldn’t get to the top, but there are certainly worse places to have your coffee!! Loved the dark history of the rock! The waterfall was amazing! Whether it’s the right one or not!! Still pretty!! Thank god for What3Words!! Loved it 🍻
What a lovely comment. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words, we appreciate your support 😊
Ohhh gruesome tale! Interesting thou. Nice walk, wouldn’t might paying a visit sometime.
The second location was lovely. Where both locations near to each other?
I tend to use trekking poles if it’s going to be hilly. When I forget them, I always regret it, my knees don’t like the impact. I hope your knee recovers.
Really liked this one 😀
They were actually not too far away from each other, about 5 minutes in the car so very walkable! ☺️ Definitely came in handy for the both of us, they seem to be great at just keeping you upright and sturdy near sheer drops 😅 Cheers Rachel! Hope you are doing good 👍
Wow I am only up by Buxton and have never been to either of these locations. For the waterfall where did you park? Think I may go check it out.
The waterfall has no carpark as it's just off the side of the road. There are a couple laybys just along the road you could consider parking on or one of the nearby villages. I think we picked a layby 👍
@@HayandKyle cheers guys. Keep up the good work
Apologies for my 3rd comment on this video already, I'm commenting as I'm watching..
It looks like a beautiful waterfall. But for me, to make it a Sexy Waterfall, it has to fall into a swimmable pool at the bottom. Therefore I'm naming Janet's Foss in North Yorkshire as a sexier waterfall than Swallet 😁
😂 thanks for the comment made us giggle!! Love the ones up in Scotland 👍 definitely got a few swimmable ones up there! 😅
@@HayandKyle I'm thinking if they named it Swallett's Wallet they'd get more visitors 🤣
HI Andy whoever owns the land have spent decades trying to keep people away from it there must have been an access agreement reached at sometime right to roam has changed many things for the good.
Aww u guys are so cute! I'd heard of the falls and earmarked it for a visit. Now wondering if its campable 🤔
Thanks for watching 😊
There's nothing dangerous about climbing to the top of Peter's Stone for anyone reasonably fit and sensible: it's probably the usual elf 'n safety jobsworths being ridiculous. There are far more unstable areas of rock around the Peak, and any rational person with a brain will know what is a safe scramble and what isn't and will behave accordingly. Thank you for the stunning filming!
Good video, how’s the van build going?
Thank you ☺️ we've finally started to cut holes in the van 😄 was nerve wrecking haha
Trust me, there have been numerous times I wish "editing Andy" had popped up to correct myself whilst in situ 🤣
Stunning Video
Would you happen to have a GPS file of your route
Many thanks
Thanks for watching Paul, unfortunately we don't have a GPS file for this video :(
@@HayandKyle no problem many thanks
💓
That is Waterfall Swallet and there is access. Little Waterfall Swallet close by is on private land and there is no access. The waters that go underground here pass through a series of caves under Eyam and Stoney Middleton. They next see daylight in the grounds of Stoney Middleton Hall.
Well peters stone has a bit of a grisly past. Do you know why they changed the name of it? Trying to make it a more positive place?
That waterfall is epic! Perfect place to cool off after a summer's day hiking
Yeah not sure which name it had officially first 🤔 Peters Stone certainly sounds better than Gibbet Rock 😅 Thanks so much for tuning in guys, hope you're both well ✌️
Isn,t Swallett fall on private land ? Or is it properly accessable ?
I have driven past Peters Stone soany times. Can you drop me a what's three words for parking.
Thanks Paul, yeah we'd always driven past but eventually it peaked our interest. We park here ///included.flask.saved 😀
the link to your instagram doesn't appear to work
Thanks Samuel, which link are you referring to? Cheers
To clarify, our Insta we feature in our videos is not a link, the only link we have is on our main page banner :) 👍
You have a link to your Instagram in the description, it doesn't link to a profile
@@SamuelSGBailey ahhh thank you very much for notifying us of this :) We'll get it patched up 😅 Much appreciated 🙏
Most cathedrals in Europe have that shape. Probably because of the Catholic influence at the time.. They named it after St.Peter's Basilica.
Oooops love mum and dad. Not live mum and dad 😂😂😂😂😂
Comment never a criticism 😊..but I think you've either got the 3 words wrong for the waterfall, or we've got different ones, we found that sprinting.litters.wipe
Took us to it..
Pinned and down to visit , thanks again 👍
