Hi, as you showed a stone with SWW which I think originally was Sheffield West Water and the building would of been a pump house and Tennant may of stayed here who looked after the mire - body of boggy water
If you park on Redmiers road and park at the side of the last of the 3 remires dams park up and past the plughole follow the path you will find as i tell my grandkids its a Old Witchers house 👍
Great video, very entertaining as usual, didn't envy you crossing that stream, cold feet job🥴 love your description of the , air b&b ! 😂 Looks an interesting place to visit, would love to know what it was used for, really looking forward to your future adventures, love and hugs to you both, take care 😘😘🥰💙💚♥️♥️xxxxxxxx
This looks like a great adventure, we often drive around these moors so will plan a visit to see if we can find the house... Nothing like an unplanned river crossing, we did one in Yorkshire last year when a bridge was closed, great fun!
That was a great video, I thought I knew the peak district quite well but you two keep showing me places I never knew existed, the stream crossing looked quite precarious! Happy Easter.
Great footage and music again... Shame it had been vandalised so keep it quiet.. nice spot that stone said SWW so maybe water board building.. thanks again . Now re watching the other you mentioned lv us x
I absolutely loved this video!! 🥰 It was a real treat to 'join' you on your walk to the Spooky House. Loved your reactions to the drinks! Very funny! 😂 Glad you managed to get across the stream safely and also glad we're not the only ones to take the wrong path sometimes!! It's all a great adventure though and great story telling opportunities when you're old and grey! 😂😂 Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. You're just getting better and better. Loved the music on this one as well. Keep up the good work. Take care and lots of love Mutti x💕🙏
What a great adventure, thank you for sharing. Another thing to do and is now added to our list. You both have a really good style of vlogging going on now, and you both appear to be very relaxed and are really good to watch. All the best, Sharon & Darren
Thanks you pair 🤗 Throw us a message when you come to ticking it off your list, I'm sure we can give you better directions, of which won't lead you through a stream 🙈 Thank you for your constant support, it means a lot to us both ✌️ Best wishes from the Peak District 💚
Love this place. Have walked here and enjoyed many picnics here….out of season when it’s quiet 👍 Raisin looked like he had a great time 🥰 I’ve never managed to spot a red squirrel here…yet! Great shots of this fabulous place 👏
Hi Sarah! It's super nice in the quiet season, might be why we saw the red squirrel back in Feb with it being quiet! 🤔 Raisin had a fabulous time 😍 loves a bit of beach action ☺️ xx
Great video! I'd guess as others have commented Sheffield water works building maybe. Stone looks similar to other waterworks buildings? Loved your video Hay and Kyle ❤
😁👍 Great find and day out guys.. Well done hayley for crossing the stream 👍 Surley the spooky house has something to do the old waterboard company back in the day. Possibly late 1800s then added on in the early 1900s before closure and left in situ.. It would make a cracking bothy or as you say Airbnb 😂😁 Great video you two..
Thank you for tuning in Mike 😁👍 We've since learned you're correct, it absolutely has something to do with the Sheffield water works from back in the day. Needs a bit of work before it starts getting any 5 star reviews we reckon 😅
This is a completely new one for me, I had never heard of or seen any photos of it. Loved the MTV cribs bit 😂😂 such a shame that it is in the condition it is. Great video guys, very insightful
Great video as always, thanks! The spooky house features in one of Trekking Exploration's RUclips video's about the Rivelin Tunnel, well worth watching too.
An interesting place and I'm sure it has an intriguing history. I do hope it gets some kind of maintenance before it crumbles. Re navigation or map reading errors, a couple of terms to consider, 'positional inexactitude' or 'navigationally confused'. Hands up all those who are guilty? (me) 😂. A great watch, enjoyed it, thanks.
Great vid, me and my mate did a walk up Wyming brook to find the headstone but missed it some how 🤔, we did another walk from redmires and came across the house by accident, so we decided to have a pot noodle in there lol, it's a good area around there over looked by the masses 👍
Hi Kyle and Haley, great video of a Hidden House in the Peak District. Poor Raisin lost out on this hike. With having to cross that Creek it probably was good you didn't bring him. Whoever built that house put a lot of effort in to bring in all that stone and also separating it in two small areas inside. With being from the USA it is always interesting to see different parts of the United Kingdom in your videos. Thanks for all the planning, research and effort that you both put in to create your videos.
Thanks so much for tuning in Ben, we appreciate it 🤗 Raisin would not have been a happy pupper on this one, he may as well be a cat when it comes to water 🙀 Glad our videos are useful for you across the pond. Much love from the UK ✌️
Looks to be a former water board building. I`ve seen these before but they are usually either locked or boarded up. I think they were used for the maintenance men working on nearby reservoirs and pipelines. Always good to find something different though, enjoyed the video anyway and the perilous stream crossing. Lol.
Hi David yeah I think you are right on that, it definitely looks like it belongs to the water works to the front 👍 that stream crossing was no joke on a dodgy foot 😂
I was a little dissapointed in it's location as its really easy to get to by a straight forward path. Especially from the redmires carpark. Good video though.
It's the Waterworks building above the Rivlin Tunnel. Ant covered it in his documentary. ruclips.net/video/vWJYKH8BdQ4/видео.html I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for giving us your take on it. I really enjoyed it.
Cheers for this Chris, we are just giving this a watch now 👍😄 quite interesting to see a different view on it! Definitely seems to know the history and his stuff on it 👍
@HayandKyle this is really a follow up video. He did some amazing videos on Ladybower as it dried up and then refilled, documentary history vlog really. He came across references to tunnels under the hill and did the follow on documentary. There are 6 or 7 documentaries in all. Fantastically detailed and really knows his stuff. Real nerd for details but tells one heck of a story. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
Amazing definitely Spooky was trying not to imagine the previous inhabitants of the house turning up ala Blair Witch- I was in Kinder Scout recently & I love vast open moorlands even if boggy & you have to navigate carefully through water like you did also. I love healthy eating & because of very melancholy health I've developed a taste for those ginger/turmeric cayenne pepper shots - Healthy Eating & being in the Peak District for me are literally are life enhancing. Best Wishes to you both David
Open Moorland is probably our favourite type of landscape. There's something incredibly beautiful about how vast and somewhat baron it can be. Thanks so much for watching David, we hope you've had a great Easter 🐇
@@HayandKyle Happy Easter to you both. My life is almighty tough so Derbyshire & The Peak District are very important to me. Love your stuff Best Wishes David

Great vid guys! What’s happening with Big Merlin??
Big Merlin has been in hibernation 🤫 He might be surfacing again in the near future. Thanks for watching 🤗
i believe it used to be an old game keepers place that belonged to stanage lodge
It’s the old water board station. 1 side was for the water board the other side was for the gamekeepers. Happy new year. 🎉
Happy New Year to you 🎉 😊
Have you been to the abandoned quarry at castleton ? Next to the cement factory , don't go on a evening unless ya like a rave 😂
We actually haven't been there 🤔🤔
Best thing for bogs is waterproof socks. Game changer.
Its the old Sheffield corporation water works building for Redmires reservoir conduit. should revisit at night people say its haunted.
