Why are you using a 3 x 2 sanitary tee laying on it's side at the junction of your shower and your vanity sink? You should be using a 3 x 2 wye and 1/8th turn fitting or s Rd combo The turn from the vanity into the 3 x 2 wye is not gradual enough and will eventually clog, not to mention, not code compliant.
We were knee deep in bathroom and basement projects for about the last 18 months and I had zero time to make and edit any videos! I'm making a few now and again when work slows down slightly. Thanks for checking back in for video updates! Eddie
Can I ask you did you get permits for this job? It's not a dig, but some of the plumbing doesn't seem vented properly. As a homeowner I would need the township or City to sign off on this Plumbing before you close it up because the last thing I would want is sewer smells or blockage after I paid all that money
Nice ! Just few things: Sink is tying to shower drain with San-T in horizontal position. That is a violation of Code. Moreover, toilet should ALWAYS have 2" vent - whether it is required by your Code or not. That Sewer ejector also has to have its own, dedicated, 2" vent going all the way to the roof. Thank you !
The homeowner know about that sanitary tee"s you installed to catch the lav and the shower . Is illegal 🤣. I hope your venting that somehow , 🤣 great video to show how not to install a bathroom .
Nice video...just one question. How is everything vented? Are the shower, sink, etc. supposed to be individually vented or does the sewage basin get vented and serve for everything? Thanks in advance.
Both actually. We vented the sink and shower together separately and the toilet was close enough to the sewage basin vent that we used it to vent the toilet. Eddie
Yes trenching with a standard electric floor buster. Re-bar needs grind-ed out if it's in your way, mesh needs to be removed as well if centered in your plumbing trench. Eddie
Hello nice video maybe you can help me, i have a basement i want to make a bathroom the toilet is 3" or 4" pipe the vanity sink is 2" all vent 2" and shower base 3" that is correct
Hi, I'm in the process of building exact what you show in this video, the sewage pipes are 3' higher and around 5' far how much aprox do you think will be the cost? Thanks so much for your answer :)
+HARPO1ME Because the sewage pipe that is exiting the house goes out through the exterior wall about 4' higher than the concrete floor making it impossible for the bathroom water to drain properly without a pump-up sewage ejection system of some kind. Eddie
I get it. Having to deal with someone else's bad planning and or designed improperly causes the added pump to be used and also more energy to be used. Gravity flow seems the best to me ,but unless they grade the land up before building the house this is what you have to deal with . The main drain not being deep enough for a good gravity drain to be used .
I saw an improper tee fitting installed on it's side, you should check your local code so you know what and what not to do in plumbing.
Cant use a sanitary Tee in horizontal position.....need Y connector
Glad you caught that
saw the same thing, needs a combo or wye with a street

Good to see you back making videos, I wondered what happened to you guys. Really enjoy the vids!

Eddie
Normally each section of drain including the toilet, sink, and shower needs its own vent to the roof or using Vent Air Admittance Valve.
Very informative video. Your videos help a lot in construction processes. Keep sharing..
Thanks man! we're trying to help the average homeowner do it themselves. We'll keep making videos as long as people keep watching!

Bathroom Remodel Videos
How are you venting these 3 fixtures? By the fittings you're using I can tell plumbing is not your strong point.. nice video
@ 5:41 sanitary t is not allowed in any jurisdiction in horizontal application. Automatic inspection fail. Use a Y or long sweep 90 instead.
Where’s the plumbing vents?
No tees underground

How much does it cost to build something like this in basement? Only powder room. Talking about plumbing price only.
Horizontal T conector from vertical system ! Its toulet
Where does it vent?
We're the vent line
Yes that will work perfectly!
Eddie
Bathroom Remodel Videos ouiiiii
Bathroom Remodel Videos you can't use a sanitary tee in underground...you have to use a wye......you made a serious mistake....
Y u use a T instead of a Y
Because these aren't plumbers, they are handymen thinking they can plumb....shitty ass work...hope they go bankrupted and stop misleading people

It doesn’t respect construction code in many areas.

This guy can’t be a licensed plumber, he has no vents and you lay a sanitary Tee on its side , he should have used a combo
@@terencebradford2325 I saw the san-T on its side and closed the video
@ Terence Bradford yup and that combo should be pitched up at least 22.5 degrees to account for vent codes since it’s a wet vent
Venting?
Awesome ideas! Will you be doing more idea videos?
Thanks! Yes we will be doing a lot more idea videos. Thanks for watching.
Eddie
Good video#100
where are the vents??
Horizontal wet vent ?
Are you using a jackhammer to trench? And if so, does it take care of any metal mesh or rebar or do you have to do something else with that? Thanks!
Yes trenching with a standard electric floor buster. Re-bar needs grind-ed out if it's in your way, mesh needs to be removed as well if centered in your plumbing trench.
Eddie
BathroomRemodelVideo Could you use a circular or 4 inch grider with a diamand blade?
to much dust! You would wipe-out your entire basement with dust. Not recommended.
Eddie
ok
I'm in Illinois
can I use a studor vent for a secondary vent in my basement bathroom it has a lav, shower, and a water closet.
For the bathroom sink yes you can use a Studor vent as a secondary vent....but not for a toilet or shower.
Eddie
Why not just run the toilet pvc pipes to the sewer line instead of a sewage injector ? Thanks ?
Hi Eddie, can I tie in to the sewage pit vent hole and use it as a water line for my wet bar?
Yes you can! Just drop into the sewage pit 2" vent line using a 2" x 1.5" tee and you're good to go!
Eddie
Excellent job
Plumbing drains are all wrong

+Comandante Comandante Thanks! This was a fun project.
Eddie
This rough in is plumbed in wrong and there are already drainage problems....these guys are not plumbers
