Absolutely brilliant how they made Hvitserk recite Ragnars last words! So many emotions. Amazing performance by bjorn and Hvitserks actors as well, so very well done!
the last great character, I remember being so impressed with the casting of the two actors who played Bjorn as a young boy and a young man, and the performance.. made me believe I had watched the same actor grow up sometimes... to the great Bjorn iron side first son of Ragner SKOL
I like how Hvitserk and Ivar were looking at Bjorn with a mix of admiration, awe, and fear. Ivar goes as far as to say, "He is not a God." as if he is trying to convince himself.
That felt like it should've been the series, finale, tbh. I think they made a mistake opening the second half with his death, but man, what a sendoff. No one does hero's death's quite like Vikings does. And idk how it happened, but Gunnild became my favorite over the last season. She's basically the only one I care about at Kattegat anymore. And can I just say, Hvistverk narrating was a brilliant touch. You don't get to see Bjorn's ascent into Valhalla, but you can still picture it.
Man, this was such a long wait, but 6B is so worth it! I’m always so happy when others say Vikings has a special place in their hearts, for I feel the same. There are many good shows out there, but one where everything is fantastic, the acting, cinematography, music, the storylines and character developments, the costumes ... just everything, and all of that from the very first to the very last episode - that’s hard to find! Thanks for another great reaction, you’re one of my top three Vikings reactors on youtube. 😊
That's what you do...You bring Bjorn back to redeem him and make him a total legend, in the same right as Ragnar....His send off is absolutely genius and I absolutely loved it, best scene of the season for me, one of the best in the show
There will be a spin off on Netflix, set 100 years after this series, and it will feature Kattegat.. hopefully it can capture the spirit of this series and be just as good!
@@thehound9797 it will be called Vikings: Valhalla, it will follow Harald Hardrada, Leif Erikson, William the Conqueror, and a couple others, this is going to be much further in time compared to the original series, we might get a Rollo cameo since Wiliiam is his great grandson. I saw your video in my recommended and that's how I knew Vikings was back! Such a pleasant surprise. What an emotional but also amazing ending this episode had! Loved the reaction too :)
this is the only tv series thats made me cry not once but 4 times when ragner died when lagertha died then her funeral and now bjorn.i am so gutted its over.
Happy New Year Carly!!! great reaction, Im with you about Hvitserks words, I broke then...hated seeing the inevitable with Bjorn, but loved the way it played out. I am trying to not binge the rest of the season, as you said, it should be savored, but im not sure i can resist the temptation...
this season is one for the record books, enjoy the rest of the season. i definitely shed a few tears this season. SKOL to the old gods and goddesses of the AEsir and Vanir.
Prepare yourself for the last episode...The Last Act 😥 it's the most heartbreaking episode out of the entire saga, in my opinion. I'd be surprised if you didn't cry. I was sad the whole day after watching. Incredibly well-written and superb acting in The Last Act!
Once Björn knew that he had led his people to victory once again, only then did he allow himself to succumb to his wounds but only after his people were victorious.
A bit late to the Carly party but glad I stumbled upon your channel. Really great reaction. Also loved how they played Ragnar's death song for Björn too. It won't be easy getting another series even remotely close to Vikings. Oh and liked and subscribed XD
Does anybody know what happened inside Björns Grave? Did they embalm and mount him? Or was it just a statue? It seemed like such a real image. And saw some blood.
The fact that embalming has been around since about 5000BC probably means that the Vikings had some form of it. I can’t imagine that the specifics of it are documented as they didn’t read or write very much. And given the times I’m not sure it would have lasted very long past the sealing of the burial mound
You have such a wonderful smile :-) I like that Bjorn was buried the way he was. Very fitting. Now he dines in Valhalla with Ragnar, Lagertha, Sigurd and Halfdan.
Glad your back with vikings my favorite show..got me all teared up they do it so well..the music..the emotional tention sad this are the last episodes but looking forworth to a new show vikings vahalla from the same makers it will be on netflix..the first season is all ready finished..dunno when it will air..this show will take place 100 years later with new actors but kattegat will be in it

3 things I love in season 6 part 2: [SPOILER] ... ... 1. Björn's death (Whaaat a legendary stance) with this grrrrrrreat song* on the background 2. Björn's shieldmaiden wife's outro (at the trailer, I thought she is sacrificing herself for him to lead the armies). 3. Everything about Floki. Floki's giggle, not wanting to say anything but his smile, saying "why are you bothering me with these?" when asked about Gods, looking towards sunset saying "sometimes I see Ragnar, he tells me, I need a boat Floki. I say, why do you need a boat Ragnar, you're dead." P.S. It was a way much better ending than GOT. *Wardruna-Snake Pit Poetry
I dont think ur remembering Igors story right because Oleg isnt his dad at all, hes his uncle. Igors dad was in charge before he died that's why hes the heir and Oleg and Dir were fighting over him. Can hear you have read up on reel history. Correct, the main Kingdom in the viking era was Denmark. The Danish viking King also ruled the areas of nowadays Sweden and Norway. Ragnar was actually a son of a Danish King, and was given nowadays Sweden to rule. Therefor Bjørn was actually the King of Sweden and is buried in Sweden. Eventhough there where several ratingparties on England, the Danes where the only viking Army with the force enough to conquer and settled nearly all of England ( except Wessex ) and established the Danelaw. And due to their succes with integration into England ( and thereby the end of the viking era ) is also why almost 700 english words today derives from old Danish ( window, leg, knife etc ) Another Danish viking - Rollo, became Duke of Normandy and his grandson William conquered All of England in 1066, due to his claim on the Danish throne.
