Same here! i got so excited when i defeated Robotnik and the Doomsday Zone appeared on the screen, Sonic turning hyper with the music, such a memorable moment
lol i played sonic when i was like a baby, starting off with sonic adventure dx on my gamecube. i knew how to play better than my older brother who was 7 years older than me. next sonic game was sonic dash, sonic 1, 2, then 3, 3 and knuckles, and mania, adventure 2, generations, and unleashed. normally the doomsday gives me edgy vibes and both scary vibe when the music gets faster and i run out of time to get the master emerald.
I believe that the Death Egg Robot theme and the Big Arms had the best classic final boss theme's. The Death Egg Robot's theme gives off a feeling of dread and edge. Which leaves the player with a feeling of knowing that it is the final moment to defeat Robotnik. But the Big Arms theme is completely different. At first it plays the regular boss theme. But after you defeat him you think it is over, until you hear the music eerily creep in. Then the music plays and you get the feeling of the adrenaline in your body pumping fast and the sound of rock and techno playing in your ear. The moment when you hear the music begin you know that Robotnik isnt fooling around anymore.

I just love this song, it’s so stressful, and it gives off a scary yet hopeless vibe. It’s like it’s saying “Give up, Robotnik will win! You’ve got no chance!”
The Drum and bass on its own gives the song a sense of chaos and urgency, but paired with the other channels, It unifies the rest together. It's almost as If the Drum and bass is Robotnik's frantic escape and the rest is Sonic's confident and heroic pursuit. Edit: PSG 0 sounds like a little radar ping, as if Robotnik is tracking sonic.
If u put it at 1.25x speed, it sounds like when your at 10 rings or lower (Man I always hated that zone, cuz of all the rings spread around, it was hard, for me at least)
Doomsday is one heck of a final boss fight, especially since it makes Sonic's ultimate form seem so vunerable and finite (since you're in a rush). But it can't beat good ol' Death Egg Robot from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. With rings, it's pretty difficult. But without rings just shows you things are getting serious.

Knuckles' story is the completion of the defeat of Eggman on Angel Island. Knuckles has witnessed the defeat of Eggman by Sonic and Knuckles is just cleaning up the leftover robotic trash that Robotnik left behind...or perhaps the robotic egg drone is Robotnik using a metallic alter ego to try and stir up trouble one last time.

I just slowly realized that The Doomsday song is the players theme, not Eggman’s. Because you chase down Eggman in his last attempt to escape with the Master Emerald. You can’t take damage, the only way you can die is running out of rings, so Eggman tries to slow you down with missiles and bombs (not to mention the asteroids).
