It is so sad that many of today’s teenagers are defined by the smaller percentage of those who have given them such a bad name. These boys are an example of the goodness and sensitivity that so many youngsters possess and how great to see the media can focus on the positives rather than the constant negatives for a change.I’m sure there are thousands of teenagers who are unsung heroes.
Talking negatively about teenagers in general is very strange considering they are literal children being shaped by a society that is increasingly neglecting them.
I'm the same mate,I've been struggling for a good few years now but havent told anyone and don't know how to tell anyone as its hard,it's like my brain tells me not to speak it's horrible,I've also sometimes think about not wanting to be here anymore but something keeps on telling me not to think about it so someone is looking out for me.
My son took his own life in January 2024 aged 23. For these 2 boys to save someone's life is just the most amazing thing that anyone could ever do. They should be so proud of themselves and a credit to their families. To be able to prevent the pain that suicide causes is indescribable. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone. i am so thankful that your courage and bravery saved someone's life and another mother and family does not have to suffer. Its truly admirable you are true heroes :) x
Same with my boys too Emi. Teenagers today are demonised by people and yes they get up to no good the odd time and muck about but where we any better as kids? Definitely not. Plenty more young lads and lasses out there like these 2 and they aren’t given enough credit. Well done to these 2
This is what we need more of..caring teens who have a conscience…kind and caring…these two should be very proud of themselves..these are the kind of teens others should look up too.
What an amazing pair of boys they are, they’re a credit to their parents 😊😊😊didn’t even think about their own safety for one minute and literally risked their lives to save that man. May they be blessed in everything that they do, they deserve it.
Well done lads. You’re a credit to your families. During a lockdown break my son and his friends were out for a walk in nearby woods, they encountered a man with a rope around his neck and he was about to hang himself from a tree. They were only 15 at the time but they instantly knew what to do. They sat with him and talked and allowed him to talk. While he was distracted one of his friends took the opportunity to move the rope away from him. The man was upset but thanked them for saving his life. They walked him home. This was in Pudsey, Leeds. It must be a Yorkshire thing!
Gosh, that's scary, to come across that-So sweet of the boys to talk to him & to listen- most adults become immune to things around us/don't want to get involved, it's comforting to know there is some humanity out there, at least, & yes, we ❤️ Yorkshire!
@@Zee-mu1zj they did something that came to them naturally. They are 19 now and still a lovely group of lads. If they'd got to the woods a few minutes later they would have found the poor man hanging from a tree. They were his guardian angels that evening. I called non emergency police number to report a concern for welfare. The operator said they acted in such a responsible manner and should be very proud of themselves. All of us parents were very proud of them but they just said...we were in the right place at the right time. 💜
@melonycrumpet Aw, bless your son & his friends! Not everyone is like that, you know..they could have even freaked out & left him, but yes, I believe it was meant to go how it went- hope the man in question is doing well now 🙏🏽
@@Zee-mu1zj my son is an amazing young man. His 16 year old sister has an incurable brain disorder called Rett syndrome. He has witnessed her having multiple seizures and only just last Christmas kept me calm whilst waiting for paramedics to arrive. He even packed a case for me to take to hospital. As I got into the 2nd ambulance (I wasn't allowed to travel with my daughter as she required 2 paramedics in the back with her) He carried my case and gave me a giant hug and said don't worry mum, she'll be alright. He was on his own in the house for 2 hours before my husband got home. It was a terrifying experience. His sister was unresponsive and he held her in his arms when I was talking to 999. He helped me so much. After 7 hour's in A+E we finally got a bed in a ward. When I opened my suitcase he'd put my pyjamas in, makeup bag and some crisps and sweets! When I opened the side compartment I found some miniature bottles of Bailey's! They were a Christmas present from my neighbour. He must have known I would need a little drink! How thoughtful? He helps me everyday with his sister. She can't walk or talk. 😢
@melonycrumpet Oh wow..sometimes I get a little stressed, when my kids "do my head in" (11& 7, always seem to be bickering) & then I hear a story like yours- Of course you love your children but it must get overwhelming at times- God bless you & your family 🙏🏽
Not only did they save the man from being killed, but they saved the traindriver from the trauma and potential guilt they wouldve had to live with for the rest of their life.
Such lovely lads, this brought tears to my eyes 😢 what brave, instinctive action culminating in saving this man’s life but also staying with him and talking to him for that hour after shows such maturity, empathy and awareness for their young ages …all their parents and friends must be so proud of these lads. A Pride of Britain nomination must come after that, surely? Well done lads!! 👏👏👏 ❤
God bless these two beautiful angels for putting their hearts on the line and saving the man from committing suicide. I always say that humanity is everything in life. To save from their sufferings is the most beautiful thing you can do for someone especially in their darkest time. You are both role models for the entire world. This is how you represent the world. Sending unconditional love to every grieving person, child, soul out there. We are all in this together. Humanity over everything 🕯️🌹🤲🏽🌹🕯️
Absolutely love this. Those boys both get my full respect. Proof that the saying, 'not all heroes wear capes' is 100% true! It's unfortunately all to common to hear about stories of children and teenagers causing trouble, so much that it's really no surprise when you do. That's why it's great to hear of someone actually being kind here. Proof that unfortunately, those who do cause trouble get a bad reputation for those who don't.
So proud of these boys. Royal family must reach and thank these boys and address mental health now not keep pushing. To one side until something. Bad happens
