Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand!! These 4 countries are the best for tourists! They don't care about the color of your skin, which country you come from, or what religion you follow! They treat everybody the same...There is no special preference for anybody!
I stayed in Medan, North Sumatra for 2 years before. It’s one of the most culturally diverse city in Indonesia. It’s not as metropolitan as Jakarta but it has its own charm. Try to visit if you can, it’s way cheaper than in Jakarta. There are many local Cafés that specialize on local coffee. 😊
You made some of the best videos for CNBC, and now that you went on your own, and with over 100k subs, it's clear they made a huge mistake letting you go. I don't think many individuals for any major network can start their own channel and get this kind of success. Keep making awesome videos!
Congratulations and welcome to Indonesia, If you are in Indonesia, try climbing volcanoes. You have climbed 1 of 573 volcano families in Indonesia. Believe me, every volcano in Indonesia has a completely different view and vibe and no one is the same because it has its own uniqueness and landscape. Example : In Indonesia there are 3 names of volcanoes that have similarities, but the volcanoes are different in location and shape, namely (Sorik Marapi, Marapi and Merapi). Use photo or video opportunities to capture your moments with Volcano in Indonesia, so you have a history that you can share with others or your family. Indonesia is a tourism place that will make you appreciate life, not just a fun tourist spot. Thank you. Have a nice day, good videos and I appreciated.
I feel like every country is cheaper for food than the US. But the plane ticket and hotel rooms though. Then again once you get over the initial hump of the plane ticket. Living in south east Asia is cheaper than the states if you have American salary and work remote.
Accomodation is relatively cheap too. In Indonesia you CANNOT buy property (beware this coz foreigner have been scammed into buying home or land here) but you can rent a good apartement from $400 per month.
Love it. That was literally the same itinerary I had for my first Saturday in Jakarta before the pandemic, except being Filipino-American, no one has mistaken me as a foreigner 😂
$1, 3 museums !!!! Wow!!!!!! I love all you show us . The people are amazing. It’d be so cool if you can interview all the different cultures you meet at your work space and their experiences etc. also, who’s recording you? 😅

I'm originally from Malaysia, and we basically speak the same language (Bahasa). I would agree that Indonesians are one of the warmest and kind people. Same for the Philippines, Thais. For Malaysia, you really need to go outside of the big cities to really meet genuine people (as a tourist).
To visitor...Indonesia just a normal human beeing..there are good people & bad people here...if you want to visit ...please believe in yourself and don't embarrassing to ask the autority such as police if you have problem here...
My wife is from over there and I always love going there and all the other places where her family lives. I think you will like blok M. We always go there to get clothing and other stuff before returning to the states. I also think you will enjoy Ciamis. There's so much to see and do in that country. You can also try gojek. It's like Uber including the app and you can go by car, motor and more.
well in most part of Indonesia (including Bali), there will always be Foreigner price and Local price to enter the museum. BUT, Jakarta City Government is different though,,, they are not that “petty” I guess.
Can you do 100 dollars in jakarta? There are also people that want to know what services and infrastructure are readily available that are up to more modern standards. Not everyone travels like a hippy backpacker
You can spend whatever you want in Jakarta. There is a huge middle and rich class. There are all sorts of expensive restos and bars that wld make you feel like you are in Singapore or NYC. Uptin went to the cheaper areas
Food is more expensive than what I thought considering how poor their economy. Maybe not for a tourist with U.S currency but for locals. Explains why people are struggling there.
*Couldn't agree more. Indonesian people are some of the warmest, humble, kind, and down-to-earth people you will ever meet in your life.*
Waw
23rd may till 1st June I'll be in Jakarta
