Indonesian call it perfume, while British usually call it aftershave. That is why they not familiar with aftershave. And she offered you after shave products instead a aftershave/perfume, and said not available for dior sauvage after shave. Fun fact : dior sauvage, contains patchouli oil from Indonesia
In the UK perfume is for women and aftershave for men :)

Come to visit :D but do searching for what traveling vibes that you want so u can choose a perfect city for your destination. Such as traditional n cultural traveling that have a famous the biggest Budhist temple in the world called Borobudur in Jogjakarta, or other beautiful hindu temple n in Bali. Beautiful beach and lovely under sea views or the best diving spot at Raja Ampat. Culinary traveling at Bandung in West Java, or if u like some delicious spicy food like in india food, u can try Bukittinggi at West Sumatra they are very famous with their delicious food and dry curry specialty called Rendang, they also have beautiful canyon views and the famous landscape, a giant clock called Jam Gadang, is a twin clock with Big Ben in London (the clock have same machine). If you like modern city, you can explore Jakarta and so many more places that have different culture n uniqueness from one province with another province.

Mate the second mall you went to is a legit nice and high class place, there's no bargaining to be had there. Not every place/shop you go to is a "market" per se
Your steps in the Indonesian market are correct. haggling over the price of goods even we also usually bid the price of goods half of the price offered hahaha

I heard that he mentioned Mangga Dua. The problem is there are a lot of shopping centers there : ITC, WTC, Mangga Dua Square, Pasar Mangga Dua, and Dusit Mangga Dua. I am not sure where he was shopping. But after checking on Google, fake items are usually sold at ITC Mangga Dua and Mangga Dua Square.

Just a little reminder that even a bootleg product has several grades Harry, if it has good material, sharp finishing and overall high quality then the only difference is the Brand value itself which elevate the prices to a stupid level (like the perfume). So you can't undermine the intrinsic value of a well made product just because it's "fake" especially when the price already around 1/4 of the "real" one. Unless it's poorly made of course.😅
He got ripped off for that essentials t-shirt, he payed £26 for it and it’s £40 for the original if good quality it’s no more than £10-£15 if that
@@ryanw4827 actually in Indonesia applied duty and taxes for all the clothing apparels. The original one in Indonesia is cost around GBP 80-90. Even the counterfeit still charged for duty and taxes when come to Indonesia. So i guess around GBP 20 is quite fair if you compare the normal price in the country, not the origin country.
You have a point. For example the part of china that produces all the genuine sneakers / trainers actually produce all the high quality fakes in the market as well. They have their fingers in both pies, selling to those that can afford the originals and the poor that can't.

Judging by the railings you are in Mangga Dua which is a mall more for the common folk very big and the go to spot for me and my family when trying to find decent items for good prices it's a very different experience than when you go to fancier malls, and I would recommend checking this place out lots of good food vendors too.

I wouldn't pay more than 50 for a tshirt
The first price by sellers usually bargained at half the price by "emak-emak". They will find a common ground after that, but if it's more than 3/4 of the first price, you should leave, the seller usually will call you back to agree on the last price. My mom always do this and it works most of the time.
@@bayuaji3850 if you want to get the lowest price possible that's the incorrect method because you are already too close to the seller's price and can only go up from there.
If they offer 100 for something that costs 50 you should offer 10 not 50. That will get you the lowest price. It shocks the seller because it's below their cost. Then you can start the real negotiation.
