before I was this type of person who didn't know how to be nervous but as I grow up and meet new people I learned to be nervous. I was insecure about myself and start to think negatively; to make the long story short you become nervous because you believe you will be nervous. why wont you trust yourself that you CAN. since you will never be given the opportunity to prove yourself if you aren't good enough everyone is deserving. "stay calm and be proud of yourself".
Same i grew up starting to get nervous because as a kid you know they dont bully as hard as older kids and teens do . I was never bullied except 1 time but when i heard the things kids would say about others i tried to not be that 1 kid who was like that so I wouldnt get embarrassed. And ever since then now im always nervous not because i want to be someone they like but because I dont want those words being said at me lol.
Naw...Most people who are nervous (and some may even lie to you and make up another excuse) is because they’re scared of what other people might say about them. In front of lots of people the nervous person tends to break down and let the attention get to them. They’re more worried about what the next person is saying instead of just running.
How to overcome nervousness, #1 dont give a crap what people think about you. That will be more than enough confidence to get you going. That's what I do on stage night after night... and no book can ever teach that

Today is my first time back at school after being homeschooled for 6 years. I watched this and then at lunch time at school we can leave campus so I did practically all of these things before my class presentation, I went on a walk, I drank water, i imagined sitting in a relaxing place, I imagined not being nervous (Because I actually was preped I was just nervous) and before I went up to present I took some deep breaths and stretched my neck and I was all good.

2 key points that I really like that you included: Breathing and being prepared. I'm a consultant and find myself often in front of large audiences. Taking those deep breaths from the abdomen helps me fill my blood with oxygen and allows me to calm down (they physiological side of my nerves). To help me mentally, I present my speech the night before until I feel like I know the material inside and out, and HOW I want to deliver it. This may sound crazy, but I call it studying the presentation. In other words, making the presentation mine and putting it in my words, not just the words on the monitor. I then feel like can make it through the presentation without any issues, which then boosts my confidence. Breathe, and be prepared. Works for me, an overly nervous person (and I've been doing this for 23 years!). :)
This is something that I struggled with off and on over the years. But when you think about it the people who are looking at you and judging you must not be busy enough in their own lives. Any successful and busy people are not just sitting around worrying about what someone looks like. That person must have a insecurity within themselves not you. The trick is to appear to be confident and not let others know that you may be nervous.
just be yourself, when you're confident, they see that you're confident and they will stop putting you down. I think major reason why we always have anxieties is that we tend to always not be ourselves in front of others (not confident enough). That 'f*** it' attitude is so important.
I defeated social anxiety 6 months ago. I went out with the whole family to a private swimming pool. There wear like almost 40 person, and many of them actually kept ordering me to do this and that, and once I got home, I felt something bad left me. I was completely happy and stopped thinking I was alone. I have alot of friends, but I've once got betrayed by fake friends which made me shy till now. I think the only way to mostly stop it is by not being lazy and thinking negative.

As she said: it‘s not about breathing deeply but breathing slowly. Try this: inhale for 4 seconds, keep it for 7 seconds and exhale for 7 seconds. Always works wonders for me. Honestly once I became a senior I’m not scared of presenting anymore. For some reason though when I hear my teacher say “You will present this” I still get that horrible feeling in my stomach at first, but after a few minutes I’m fine again. I’m not lying to when I say I was scared of presenting. When I would go up I would be shaking a little, my voice would be shaky too, and I would be sweating so much. It sucked! Hopefully once you guys get older this all goes away because it makes life so much better.

I’ve failed my drivers test 4 times already. Today is my fifth try. It is not because of my lack of skills, it’s purely a severe anxiety of failure I have. The nerves are so overwhelming that I cannot even feel my hands. I’m about to do a speech competition, and it’s not the first one. I’ve found that breathing deeply helps me a lot. It basically completely eliminates the nervousness. That and the power of God.
You want a real tip. Try repetitive movements when doing a speech or presenting etc. For example, if you are sitting and presenting try leg movements, quiet foot tapping or something like that. Or if standing, try keeping your body and hands always moving, if standing stationary at a podium or stand, conceal one hand on the stand or by your side and try finger tapping/moving. Do these repetitively and preferably in a way where people can't see what you're doing. I find that the need to keep up with a repetitive action or movements while simultaneously trying to present, distracts your mind from remembering to be nervous.

I think the best way to not being nervous and especially to not appear nervous in front of anyone - is to always be ourselves in many situations. Imagine, how can you be more confident when you were somewhere else *your room, for example* and not at the place where you usually get nervous? To me, the first step: to find out our positive true identity/inner self (whether cheerful - cool, or motivational, etc) which means who are we deep inside. When we go to other places, we have to 'flaunt' that identity of ours and to always be confident with it. Don't ever let anyone, or any situations, INFLUENCE the way we think, speak or feel. Hold on to yourself real hard. In this way, you would not only become less nervous, but you will also become confident. I learned that my mistake is to always get influenced by the situation and the people I am dealing with. Which is a huge problem. Let go what makes you feel bad and always spread good vibes. We can do it!
I used to have really bad social anxiety and I found that these tips don’t help unless you just embrace the fact that you have anxiety, and take a risk to do the things that you Fear. And over time you’ll get less and less nervous in an uncomfortable situation.
I think realising that eventually what ever your nervous about will be eventually over and from then on the outcome is what it is and you shouldn’t have to feel nervous about it anymore should help calm you a little.
My Problem is public reading. I am so bold while speaking in public, i love the attention. Everyone can tell that i love speaking in public, nur once you give me book to read i get novous and shaki
Hey you reading this, you’re not alone. What do you do when watching someone during a presentation? I bet not much, you just listen to what they have to say and that’s all, well that’s the same for you! No one will remember it (if it’s a small presentation) in a week or two. Maybe not even you. It’s only a short amount of time and just think that you’re talking to yourself and no one else :) That’s what helps me realistically. All this breathing, imagining and relaxing things never help but make it worse. So here’s my advice ^

As she said: it‘s not about breathing deeply but breathing slowly. Try this: inhale for 4 seconds, keep it for 7 seconds and exhale for 7 seconds. Always works wonders for me. Honestly once I became a senior I’m not scared of presenting anymore. For some reason though when I hear my teacher say “You will present this” I still get that horrible feeling in my stomach at first, but after a few minutes I’m fine again. I’m not lying to when I say I was scared of presenting. When I would go up I would be shaking a little, my voice would be shaky too, and I would be sweating so much. It sucked! Hopefully once you guys get older this all goes away because it makes life so much better.

I’ve failed my drivers test 4 times already. Today is my fifth try. It is not because of my lack of skills, it’s purely a severe anxiety of failure I have. The nerves are so overwhelming that I cannot even feel my hands. I spend the entire exam thinking “what are they thinking?” “Have I failed already?” And it gets so much into my head that I fail to see important things. It shatters me everytime I fail. I wonder if I’m ever gonna pass.

You want a real tip. Try repetitive movements when doing a speech or presenting etc. For example, if you are sitting and presenting try leg movements, quiet foot tapping or something like that. Or if standing, try keeping your body and hands always moving, if standing stationary at a podium or stand, conceal one hand on the stand or by your side and try finger tapping/moving. Do these repetitively and preferably in a way where people can't see what you're doing. I find that the need to keep up with a repetitive action or movements while simultaneously trying to present, distracts your mind from remembering to be nervous.

His whole entire family had also verbaly harrased my family, when my sister got hurt at work, they would say to the owner secretly :"why would you even bother hiring her my daughter can do a better job". What the hell.

I think the best way to not being nervous and especially to not appear nervous in front of anyone - is to always be ourselves in many situations. Imagine, how can you be more confident when you were somewhere else *your room, for example* and not at the place where you usually get nervous?
To me, the first step: to find out our positive true identity/inner self (whether cheerful - cool, or motivational, etc) which means who are we deep inside. When we go to other places, we have to 'flaunt' that identity of ours and to always be confident with it. Don't ever let anyone, or any situations, INFLUENCE the way we think, speak or feel. Hold on to yourself real hard. In this way, you would not only become less nervous, but you will also become confident. I learned that my mistake is to always get influenced by the situation and the people I am dealing with. Which is a huge problem. Let go what makes you feel bad and always spread good vibes. We can do it!

Fear. And over time you’ll get less and less nervous in an uncomfortable situation.
I think realising that eventually what ever your nervous about will be eventually over and from then on the outcome is what it is and you shouldn’t have to feel nervous about it anymore should help calm you a little.

Hey you reading this, you’re not alone. What do you do when watching someone during a presentation? I bet not much, you just listen to what they have to say and that’s all, well that’s the same for you!
No one will remember it (if it’s a small presentation) in a week or two. Maybe not even you. It’s only a short amount of time and just think that you’re talking to yourself and no one else :)
That’s what helps me realistically. All this breathing, imagining and relaxing things never help but make it worse. So here’s my advice ^
