    She's one of the more active/engaged participants I've seen you work with. She actually asked questions and carried on the conversations more than most of the patients in previous videos.
    I'd love to volunteer for one of these lessons if I'm ever in your area.

    I will never understand what this Alexander business really is about. However, it's pure unintentional ASMR. This is why I keep coming back to it.

      It is about having correct posture to help your body and your back function as it should, without stressing it and causing problems like we do with poor and improper posture.
      It is amazing if you try it how different you feel. The hard thing is making it habit bc you need to be so mindful of it to break your “muscle memory” old habits.

    I'm struggling to understand how all this invokes such deep emotional responses. Are you not just teaching people how to be more economical with their movements? The way you speak about being in a bubble and giving yourself permission and the feeling of shame and being more loveable and attractive is just totally going over my head. Please help me understand

    • @Zamstein
      @Zamstein Год назад +10

      It’s a release of physical habits that have been attached to the suppressing of emotions etc. I can only speak for myself but I know when I’m suppressing an emotion, there has almost always been a physical movement attached to that… even if it’s very subtle. Mind body connection.

    • @gordonclaydon6239
      @gordonclaydon6239 Год назад

      @@Zamstein thank you for that explanation I think I understand what your saying. Perhaps it didn't make sense to me because I don't tend to suppress emotions. At least I don't think I do.

      It's subtle relaxing techniques psychologically relieving tension mentally. You can't relax the body if you can't relax the mind.
