Hey guys in this video I'll walk you through the process of replacing valve cover on your F10 BMW 528i with 4 cylinder N20 engine.

Valve cover (Elring) part # 11 12 7 588 412
Eccentric shaft actuator seal (Elring) part # 11 37 7 502 022
If you are replacing valve cover gasket only:
Valve cover gasket set (Elring) part # 11 12 7 588 418
Brake booster pump seal (Elring) part # 11 12 7 507 217

The way those gray connector tabs work is you pull them out and then you push them inwards and pull out. You don’t need the pick tool, just pull the gray tab out, push inwards, not down and pull. Thanks for the video btw.

Pick tool makes it easier and faster, plastic gets stuck sometimes when you just push it so using pick tool is universal 100% success rate thing😁

can the oil leaking from the valve cover gasket go to the combustion chamber and make a smoky exhaust?

Possible but rare on this engine, usually pcv failure would cause exhaust smoke other causes are possible but inspection is necessary

I would either go for bosch or ngk but sure you can if they fit
