    Hey, hope you’re still reading some comments. Very informative video, very much appreciated the thorough guide.
    My right side xenon is malfunctioning, it works when I start the car and then after a few minutes of driving shuts off, when I restart the car it’ll work again for a few mins and then shuts off again. Rest of lamp (blinker and angel eyes) work as intended. The adaptive headlight control (lights following steering) and xenon are malfunctioning and give errors on the dashboard. Which module would you think needs replacement?

    • @brownsburg.motorsports
      @brownsburg.motorsports  Год назад

      I would say the Xenon module which is the square/rectangle looking module is the one that needs to be replaced! Seems like it works when the module is cold but when you turn on the light it heats up and turns off, most likely some water got in there I would pull it off first inspect it and go from there!
      Thank you for watching my video!!

      @@brownsburg.motorsports thank you for your response, I have since then replaced the xenon bulb and all seems to be working fine. Haven’t had an error on my dashboard at all and the lights and adaptive functions as it should. I’m still a bit confused why a burnt out xenon bulb would case the adaptive lighting error, but atleast it’s fixed now. With xenon module I’m assuming you’re referring to the ballast?

    How’s it going , I have a 2015 550i and my front left headlight is giving me issues now. I had condesation in it and it worked then eventually stopped working. I’m trying to figure out if I need to replace the whole headlight or just the control module and maybe a bulb? I have a few codes but the adaptive headlight malfunction pops up first. If you see condensation inside you have two options! Either you replace the headlight or rebuild yours as in take the front lenses off and reseal it! As for the modules I would recommend replacing all of them just so that you don’t have to do it twice!

    On my original Head Light there is some gooey gasket materiālu around the base of the halo module. I noticed that when you installed the halo module, there was no such gasket. Is that Ok? Or should I be sealing it somehow?

    • @brownsburg.motorsports

      The halo module should have a rubbery white gasket that comes with it if yours doesn’t have it I would recommend sealing by either getting the gasket online or with some Windshield Gasket sealant, apply it around the module and then install it but would definitely recommend getting the new gasket for it instead
