@@ayushmalpeddi2793 as far as I'm aware, the lucid air doesn't qualify for the federal tax credit (because someone decided that sedans are less environmentally friendly or something smh) It's under 55k for cars and 80k for SUVs iirc. That said, I'm not too sure I agree with your choices with the competition, none of these cars are performance cars, and as far as base model luxury is concerned, the electric 5 series and eqe are just better because of all their experience with suspension tuning and build quality. The g80 is a closer fit to the lucid air for luxury, it's honestly personal preference based on how it looks imo. The model S is very very outdated at this point, and the updates and facelifts somehow only seem to remove features, yeah it looks cleaner, but at what cost, and Teslas faux leather just isn't holding up well unfortunately. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of real leather anyway, I'm pretty disappointed. That CT4-V is a great recipe. Kudos to GM for bringing cars like it to the market in this day and age. But, holy shit, is that rear end hideous. Who approved that design..?
I wish more manufacturers would make a 40/20/40 rear seat for cars and SUV’s. Make sunroofs a standalone option, so you’re not forced to buy something that will eventually leak. And settle down with giant screens and lights everywhere.
I am glad they have the GV70 on this list. This SUV has won many awards including Motor Trend SUV of the Year 2022, IIHS Top Safety Pick 2022, 2024 and of course, Car and Driver Editor’s choice 2022, 2024. I have had this car since 2021 and still in love with it. There is nothing like it and for the price and value, no other luxury SUV cannot beat it. I am also glad to see the Cadillac sedans on this list. I think GM really needs to make Cadillac a top luxury brand once again to compete with the Germans because they are the only American brand that can do so but they went backwards. They needs to make all of their line up innovative yet more affordable. No one is going to spend Porsche money for Honda options. If Cadillac can reinvent themselves as America’s luxury, premium and affordable brand, they can give the German’s a run for their money. And of course, Tesla is Tesla. Still top EV option in the world but they are just…. MEH! Uninspiring and bland. I rather go with a Hyundai/Kia/Genesis or Rivian EVs.
A family member of mine just got a ‘25 Accord Hybrid Touring. The styling is unmistakably bland but the rest of the car is wonderful. It still retains that intangible charm that is inherent to Hondas. Extremely refined vehicle.
