My favourite thing about this channel is that Steve and I have the same wrist size. Also I'm going to stubbornly insist that this 37mm case is not too small for me.
Thanks, been waiting for this review as I picked up the other four with sapphire, ideal field dimensions 37x46. I tried the usual 36mm oyster case with a Smiths Commando but found the 43.5mm L2L just a little too short on my 7.25 wrist. Took a punt as I couldn't see any real negatives...which is unusual :) It might look a little better with an 'Mecaquartz' italic font text under the 100m between the 7 and 5 indices perhaps
That’s a terrific watch for the price. Too bad they are sold out of the sapphire. The field watch dials are definitely my favorites. Thanks for the great review. I’m wearing my white dial j style Ascent today also!
Steve, I've always love the consistency of your reviews, you're heads above most all other reviewers. Okay, so I noticed you have an Erebus. I was all set to buy one when I began looking at complaints of bad crown action (coarse0, and the knobs on the quick-release spring bars being felt on-wrist. Seeing as how you are perhaps mu most trusted watch guy, could you relate your experience to me as it relates to these issues? Thanks for another great review!
@@daynevickers1079 sure thing! No issues with my crown, threads smoothly and pick up the threads every time. I don't notice the nubs from the quick release bars...but I feel like I have a pretty easy wrist to please. For me it's a non issue. The res of the watch is really nice...dial, hands, lume, crystal, movement, bracelet and clasp are all top notch. I will say I'm a little disappointed by the finishing....I was expecting San Martin levels and it's not quite there. Close, but not as nice as my SM watches. Hopefully my review will be out soonish and will show off what I mean.
@@EscapeWheel Thanks, Steve, really appreciate your taking the time to answer my questions. That is interesting about the finishing, however, I guess SM is the brand to beat with regards to finishing on just about anything under $500 IMHO.
@@daynevickers1079 yeah, absolutely. I was more shocked because the factory tours of Erebus and San Martin were nearly identical, same setup, same tables, lights, and I swear the same people. It's still pretty good, don't get me wrong, but Ithis case just begs for 100% San Martin finishing...not like 85%
Very nice logo. Do you know if Watchdives plans to do the speedy with this logo ? Or maybe use the branding Watchmoon instead of Watchdives ? I would like to buy one.
I've got a few san martin watches and have been looking at watch dive watches but their cluttered logo has been stopping me from buying, not anymore. I look forward to seeing the new logo on all their watches
Excellent reviews on your channel. I personally like it with two small grievances.. One is the 36.9 measurement, Second The polished case sides better off with brushed sides on the case.. Watch dives can hopefully make minor changes that would create a better model watch..Maybe they are listening to this suggestion.. Thank you for your excellent channel & reviews..
Nice shots and cool watch, tbf best candidate I could find yet for a mod I have in mind, hence my question do you think that this case could house a NH movement, or should I steer towards a thinner movement? Also I just read that WD are already working on an improved version of this with a better bracelet so can't w8 for that to come out.

Maserati logo :)
From experience, this is a perfect sized GADA. Can’t go wrong for the price!
I would prefer 2mm shorter lug to lug. Classic Seiko would be 44mm lug to lug for a 37mm diameter watch.
