Recently got into a band called Merchandise, and a couple nights ago I listened to a radio interview with G talking about how he had been listening to them lately too - very cool - I feel like with this music he's really gonna be stepping into something he's always had buried inside while playing in MCR.
I hate the ending myself, but it started with an alright scene. This is Gerard's new "alright scene", his new beginning. I hope that MCR fans don't feel obliged to support him through his solo career or suggest that he go back to the band because this is what he wants to do and it is obviously going to be very different from MCR. It was a musical movement in the 90's over here in Britain. Bands like Pulp, Blur and Oasis really headlined it. Then, you had bands like Placebo, Elastica and Sneaker Pimps that came along. It kind of combined the rock influences of the 60's/70's with synths of the 80's to create something beautiful.
MCR will be back it's inevitable even KISS who hated each other got back together after 15 years anything's possible well unless you're in Guns N' Roses then it's pretty much impossible

Like, the the first couple albums of MCR they had an idea of what they wanted to write about making it more original even if they used sounds they liked to mix them. If theres no foundation to build on and you're just taking ideas and mixing them your being as bad as a second hander... I hope i'm wrong on this and he at least has an idea.

He stated in his interviews that he was burned out with MCR. Personally, I thought Killjoy was a cry for inspiration. You can tell he was trying to go back to his inspirations while keeping MCR's fingerprint but it honestly didn't work. He's much happier going solo, and it's about what him and the rest of the crew feel, and him being the one who would come up with much of the content, it would've been his dream to end it after Black Parade. I support his decision 100%
