I met Gerard. I spoke with him several times. He loves ☕ coffee. Sugar no cream. I didn't even know who he was as an artist, so I got to meet him as a person. The person he is has a wonderfully creative mind. I feel blessed to have met him in this way. Not a fangirl just a person.

I met Gerard in 2003 at Hell Fest in NY standing near the stage waiting to watch a little known band called Murder by Death and we chatted for a bit and he told me to watch the band and that they were among the best bands in the 3 day hardcore/punk/indie festival and he was right! I was so grateful that he introduced me to those guys! Super nice dude
I haven’t really sat down and watched an entire interview with Gee in so long. It’s sweet to see him doing so well. I’m genuinely happy for him, he worked so hard, he’s been through sooooo much and I’ll always be proud of him. He deserves everything great and positive. There will always be a place in my heart for him ❤️

The Artist's Way is a book on my shelf that I bought to get myself out of artist's block when I was really struggling with other stuff going on in my life that was sapping all of my creativity, and it was SUPER HELPFUL. This was wonderful to watch/listen to! I love hearing different artists' processes and thoughts on their art, both current and past art. And it's validating to hear professionals talk about struggling with similar issues I have when I make art -- nice to know that the process of creation can be similar in so many ways, even though it's different for everyone. Wonderful conversation.
