One of the things I like the most about Brett's lyrics is the honesty he conveys through them.... This song is incredible. A 50 something year old man recognising he misses his mum this much. Beautiful, it doesn't make him weak but honorable.
Yes, honorable indeed!
YOUR bang on...
Un Fenómeno ❤
This song is so nostalgic of those early days of Suede but so powerful in its own right. It’s amazing that they can retain such energy.
One of the most underrated bands ever! (My favourite band) 😂❤
How the hell has Brett managed to maintain his vocals after DECADES. That's surreal
His voice was pretty shredded when they did a live spot with Lamacq on BBC6 a month ago, but he was back to this form in Brooklyn last night. Remarkable, indeed!
Awesome version, Suede proving they are one of the best Britain bands of the last 30 years
Suede live is one of the best experiences. Brett keeps on transferring power and emotions like on 1992.
I completely agree. Suede in Cambridge, in March 2023, were amazing!
What a PHENOMENAL performance, and INCREDIBLE ENERGY from the band and especially from Brett, who gave it everything. This has been without doubt, for me, the best band I've seen on the new format post-covid Jools show.
They're incredible live
You should see him at the end of a gig, soaked in sweat, he puts in some amount of energy. They have done a few recently, and they are on RUclips, brilliant live
Suede is life. 🤍
I wasn't expecting that level of performance at all. Having followed them since the very beginning I don't know why I keep expecting them to mellow with age and for Brett's vocals to go awol. Very pleasantly surprised and disappointed at myself to have missed their latest gigs.
Easily Europe's best male singer since the 90's....and he still leads us on.....
Not even close
@@riquiffer What's your pick?
yup this is unbelievable , what a comeback like it was 1993 , he was so depressed before 2018
@@mungofinalfi4480 talking just about british singer from the 90's, Brett has a lot of competition: Thom Yorke barely has a bad day, Liam Gallagher regained his voice, Damon Albarn was never a technically proficient singer, but his tone has always sounded beautiful, Noel Gallagher and Graham Coxon have only been improving their singing since then, Gaz Coombes was amazing this year on Glastonbury, Tim Burgess... well, I don't really know how his been doing lately but I really like his singing on The Charlatans's early alhums... Yeah, those are all I can think about in the moment
True!!!
Fantastic album opener.
Suede still amazing 30 years on.
Love you mum.
That 2nd guitarist is putting great layers into the song.
Just breathtaking.
Jaw dropping. Literally. I was watching this in the living room with my parents and when it came on I thought "oh, it's Suede". Little did I realise it was actually more like Suede 2.0! Must be one of the best lead riffs I've heard in decades. By the time of the bridge I was off the sofa and started dancing in front of the telly. Initially my mom thought I was being daft, but when the chorus hit then boom she got up too. Did dad join in? Of course he did! We pogo'd our way through the second chorus.
More of the same lads. Please. We're not worthy.
Love this comment!
Your family sound great!
Greatest band, wonderfully song and album, Suede is still and always - forever !
Thank you suede for coming to Seattle. Most amazing night of my life!
Brett's emotion is brilliant.
Incredible lyrics. Really resonated with me having recently lost my lovely mum who still has great influence in my life even now she’s gone. ❤️
I'm sorry to read that. All the best for you.
@@hugosantosreis thank you
Ah man I just read the lyrics. I hadnt picked up on that. Goosebumps.
Still got it these lads, great tune!
So proud of Suede, stronger than ever❤️
Feck Suede's second coming is phenomenal (and better than what they produced before they disbanded imo), and this live performance is fantastic. Brett is on fire.
that's a performance by a band that know's what they are playing is a stone cold fcking classic. And that confidence sparks belief. Catchy hooks also help;) (I live with my elderly mother. And I know when she dies she'll always be a presence in my life. Thankfully, she's a good soul. I'll miss her thoughts, warmth and cooking. Just life.)
❤
💜
30 years on ... and they still have it. Love this song! Love Suede!
Just amazing, they are the only 90’s band that still makes great guitar indie music
What a band
This song is pure gold. And it touches very deep, at this age, in the shape I am in.
This is a phenomenal song and a powerful heartfelt performance. Can’t stop listening.
Incredible isn't it?

Saw them live in September, still rocking! 👏
Very good. This latest album and the recent performances have been really sharp and focussed.
They still feel like a new band to me. Where did 30 years go?!
After all these years they can bang out tunes like this....fookin brilliant 👏👏👏👏👏.
What a performance 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love Suede still so much. Thank you Guys xxx
Best new song I've heard in a while.
Look at the energy he puts on those lyrics!!! One of many reasons why I/We love him so much❤
Absolutely superb performance, such a great band, what an emotional song
JUST BRILLIANT ! CONGRATS !
43 and listened to these guys since 16......nostalgia is strong with this band ❤
Great performance,
Sublime
Tremendous music and performance.
I was only a lukewarm admirer of the band's earlier material from the 1990's. But this music is far more muscular. Louder and rockier. Brett's vocals are deeper. Went out and bought the album. Excellent! one of the best I have heard this year.
Best band ever. Such a great track !
So sweet Brett seemingly tense and uncertain and with a grin kinda getting over it with his beautiful voice and the song. I love this band until the end of my days for sure
Wow wasn’t expecting that performance fantastic ❤️👏👏👏
fucking great band... loved seeing them live in the 90's
What a voice! What energy! There's no other word for this: great!
I am so grateful that this band still make brilliant music. I grew up listening to their early albums
Just saw Suede and brought my kids to see them in Boston. What a great show.
Cool dad ! Suede are incredible
Still favourite band. Can't believe I remember them bursting on to the scene 30 years ago.
Just saw them in NYC last night... absolutely incredible
Great group. Suede are one of my favorite 1990s bands
So happy I finally got to see these guys last year. And it didn't feel like a bunch of old guys reliving their past; they were just as good as their prime.
When I'm 55 I want to look and sound like Brett
Suede come to Brazil!!!
what a performance💯👏
Holy shit! Jaw on the floor!! That is brilliance. Anyone following that should have just packed up and gone home.
Great performance, great sound, GREAT VOICE, Suede rocks!
I have now watched this performance a few times and I got to say WOW 😮 absolutely amazing
Wow, that is so good. Thanks
Brett's energy is breathtaking, and such a tight band. Awesome.
Fab song followed them for years, roll on December gig
Amazing!!! Best band
Rock music were coming back on 2022, Manics released new album, Red Hot Chili Peppers released two new albums + John Frusciante’s comeback, Blink 182 turn back with initial formation + releases “Edging”, Chemical Romance’s reunion + new single releases, Megadeth’s new album, Jethro Tull’s new album as well, RATM with their first live performance in over 11 years and now, but the bitter things happen as well when the Foos Taylor Hawkins passed away. and now, glad to see Suede with the “She Still Leads Me On”
*edit : i wish Oasis will be reunited
I kinda checked out after Dog Man Star. That band meant so much to me and by Head Music the glossy sheen was too much. I wanted Brett being Scott Walker basically. This though, this awakened me to the band again. That performance is so fcking raw, right, and impassioned. The song is utterly beautiful, and certainly something beyond special about it..... I'm checking back in.
Suede, great band.Still doing it.Great tune.👌
yes
very strong and very good,, I wish I could sing this song about my mom, but still I miss her .....
Amazing

I'm in tears every time I hear this song.
Absolutely phenomenal, as always. Can't wait to see them next week with the Manics.
Brett just energizes the band on so good

Lost both my parents young so as a Suede fan who has all the albums and is nearly the same age as Brett this hits me in the heart!
Amazing. This new record blown my mind and it was a surprise cos I thought they couldnt bring another masterpiece after the last one.
