    Good assessment! Moved here in 1988, a few months later there was a tornado in Denver that ripped up 100 year old trees! Very rare occasion! I've also seen a few Arctic fronts that got us to -24 degrees! Having grown up in North Dakota, I have to say I've only seen it blizzard a little, only 2 real big snows. Denver has several great concert venues and world famous Red Rocks is a short drive away! I find it interesting that there are a lot of Colorado made products that are wonderful plus fresh grown produce!

      Thanks so much for watching and your comments! We had a tornado come through the south end of Denver (Highlands Ranch Area) this past summer which also took down established trees like nothing. Only 1 real blizzard since I have been here and I am with you on the music venues, trying to get in as many shows as we can at Red Rocks, Fiddlers Green, Mission Ballroom, Fillmore, etc.

    Please keep in mind that this is a video by a real estate agent who makes his living from selling properties. He's not going to tell you what a shthole Denver has become in the past decade because it wouldn't help his business. It was bad when I moved out of Denver in 2017, and, to paraphrase a line from Dickens, they have labored on it since.

      Thank you for watching and commenting. Respectfully, if I didn’t like an area I would say as much, which I do in my videos. No area is perfect for everyone and sorry to hear your experience did not work out. I have been here since 2004 and seen a TON of changes, some great and some terrible. Happy to provide details on any areas (good or bad). Thanks again for your comment.

    Theb16th st mall is mostly painted black around the windows.

      A lot of the buildings have windows tinted for privacy of the residents and businesses, but a lot of them are also clear. The tinting also is a huge help during the AM/PM hours while the sun is setting and reflecting the light. Lots of new construction on the 16th Street Mall as well for improved flow and the free mall shuttle rides.

    Very good video, mostly positive. Thanks. Can you please make a video for retired age people (65+) That are not looking to purchase a big house and are not used to and not looking for a condo living. Small house, 2 to 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and garage ( the hail you said) , one level, no stairs, small yard to be able to have a dog. Information about how close and how good are hospitals in the area. In other words how any person considering relocating from Miami and looking for a place to retire, can consider Denver as an option. Thanks

      Thanks for watching and definitely can do! There are several options around the Denver area that match this search criteria. I will be sure to do a video on this soon, and feel free to contact me directly if you would like to chat before then!

    "No, we're not sitting under a plume of pot smoke every single day". I wasn't aware of that. Do they take Thanksgiving and Christmas off?

    • @LivinginDenverBillKnapp
      @LivinginDenverBillKnapp  5 месяцев назад

      Like alcohol, smoking pot in public is not allowed. There are places where sourcing and growing are located, where the smell is stronger, but these are situated in industrial areas mostly. Some ppl choose not to abide by the laws, same with alcohol, but most areas are smoke free. Colorado does have higher consumption of pot compared to other states due to its legalization, but you will have to actively seek out people smoking in public. Here is the public law on that matter: cannabis.colorado.gov/legal-marijuana-use/laws-about-marijuana-use#:~:text=Public%20use%20is%20illegal%3A,Sidewalks.

      Way way too many to list on here, could do a whole video series by neighborhood. Of the ones we've been to, some of my top picks are: Tamayo Sunday Brunch; Toast ; Pappadaeux Brunch ; Bacon Social House ; and Luciles Creole Cafe

      I think it all a matter of perspective honestly. I have met locals who are not my people & locals who are absolutely my people & best of friends. Same with people who have relocated here. My family and I have been in a suburb of Denver since 2004 and we have not found its equal anywhere yet. From our perspective, it has almost everything we want/need, except for quick access to the water and a beach. But, as I mentioned in the video, its not for everyone. A week long visit and touring the area may help & I'm happy to provide insights if you ever go that route. Cheers!
