    To anyone feeling down about their test scores and trying to get into a certain, don’t worry so much.
    I got a 1862 on my test and was only in 20th percentile and yet I got into my dream school! Schools take into account your grades, extracurricular activities and the letters of recommendation and the test scores are oftentimes a very little portion of what they look at. The SSAT scores are simply a review to see how well you would do in the specific environment that the school offers. They also take into consideration of being able to help students improve.
    Some people just aren’t good at test taking and that’s completely fine. (me)

      Hi. Here are a few general tips that can help: 1. Remember the order of mathematical operations (PEMDAS). 2. Make sure you know how to convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages. 3. Memorize the formulas for calculating the area, perimeter, and volume of shapes (for example: area and perimeter of a circle, the volume of a cube, etc.) - this will save you crucial time during the test. Finally, I recommend practicing as much as you can. You can find a free sample test on this link: www.testprep-online.com/ssat-upper-level Good luck on your test!

      Hi. First of all, make sure you are familiar with the basics: vocabulary, basic math operations, reading ability, etc. Here are some general tips: 1) Read a lot before the exam in order to improve your reading comprehension ability. Read books, articles, and every piece of written material. 2) Use flashcards for memorizing difficult words - this can boost your vocabulary significantly. 3) Make sure you rule the basics in math. For example, familiarize yourself with the order of operations (PEMDAS), and make sure you know how to convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages. The next step would be to practice sample questions and simulations of the real SSAT. You can find a free SSAT sample test + complete simulations of the real SSAT on this link: www.testprep-online.com/ssat-upper-level. Wishing you lots of luck on your upcoming exam!

      Hi Andy. The verbal section of the SSAT is indeed challenging. The most challenging element in it is the vocabulary, as you are expected to be familiar with many difficult words you do not usually encounter in your daily life. We recommend making lists of words and working with flashcards to make the learning easier. In addition, reading books can also help you a lot. Good luck on your test!

      The most important thing is to master the basic math concepts first. Specifically, PEMDAS (order of operations), place value, understanding what an equation is, and basic rules and concepts in geometry (for example, how to calculate the area and perimeter of various shapes). We advise you to make a list of the basic topics you are less good at and then tackle each of them one by one. Only then it is recommended that you move on and practice real SSAT math sample questions. Good luck!

      Yes. The paper & pencil tests are scheduled for November 21 and December 19 (2020). If you live in the United States or Canada you can also take the SSAT at home on certain dates during November, December, and January.

      @@arianaleylanycardenas3657 Unfortunately, we do not have this information. But maybe there is a Prometric center in Peru in which you can take the SSAT. How do an Indian student take ssat..please respond sir

    • @TestPrepOnline
      @TestPrepOnline  3 года назад

      Hi. For general information, please look at the following link under the title "SSAT Testing Options": www.ssat.org/ You can either take the test at a Prometric center or take the paper & pencil version. In order to find a Prometric center nearby your location, try to check here: proscheduler.prometric.com/scheduling/findAvailability (remember to select "SSAT by The Enrollment Management Association" as the Test Sponsor). For example, I have checked now and there are available testing dates in Delhi at the beginning of March (but of course, insert your convenient location). Best of luck!

      You can skip breaks. But the amount of time to do the section remains the same. USE THE BREAKS
      I didn’t use one of mine and had a tough time doing the section since I had to pee.
