    10 seems like the hardest and most pointless one. If you've never heard of "rock and roll" before, you'd never get the answer right. Using those seems like a test of how "worldly" someone is rather than reasoning skills.

      Thanks for your comment! Most students do find that idiom questions are challenging for the reason you highlight - if they've never heard the idiom, it's really difficult to get these right. We cover them because they do appear on practice SSAT exams, and we want students to be as prepared as possible if they encounter one. Thankfully they aren't as common as some of the other types!
