Another great boost is the DOD Bi fet boost reissue.
Wouldn't having a bass equalizer pedal be better than the pickup booster? Also I noticed too much gain when reaching normal gain. Is there a way, to still get a "pickup" boost, yet keep the sound crisp and clean?
Interesting pedal. It'll turn any bass into a G&L L-2000. Are those EBS cables? An excellent choice, if they are.

Is this your current favorite clean boost? I'd love to see a shootout of all the clean boosts you can gather, wondering which ones are the best value and truly cleanest.....
So far I believe we’ve only checked out this and the Spark Booster. It’s a tough choice between the two.

Better than compreser ?
Compressors and boosts do different things to your signal. A compressor will level everything out and tighten the sound, but that can lead to some volume loss as well. It's really good for having some techniques that have less volume like tapping be more even with the rest of your sound.
