This guy really did well to show how the booster works with single coils and highlights the usefulness of the pedal. This is the solution for a problem I've had for a long time, playing a Strat, and wishing for an organic way of thickening and boosting the tone for solo's and songs calling for a more Humbuckerish sound. when you are in a classic rock band you need quite a wide range of guitar tones to cover Strats, Les Pauls, P90's, etc. and this pedal sounds like it will work to really increase the versatility of covering that range of tones and responses more comprehensively. Definately asking, or demanding one of these from Santa this Christmas. Thanks, really good demo.
hi i play Yamaha Pacifica 112Vs, and love jazz, this ped res peak at 2 gives a very jazzy tone, blues one can get with alls kind overdrives, boosts the same, but this pedals price is the same as a new pickup, cant praise the sdpb enough!!! Cheers, K : )
Great revue, great pedal. 2 years on and it's still first in my pedal line.
Gorgeous tone throughout
Great demo and playing this pedal would shine in a live band situation
Just won an Ebay bid on one of these for 57 bucks, its nearly new. Cant wait to thicken up and boost solos on my Strat.
Damn nice playing! I want one of them pedals too!..
cheers man!
What amp are you using? What settings? What other pedals, if any?
So where do you put this pedal in the signal chain? At the beginning or at the end?
Very usable tones from start to finish.
Suddenly he shifts into a wickedsome flame thrower - whoa!! Nicely done -
thanks!
Can this be use on a bass guitar?
I think I'll get one of these in future.
The future is now, so did u buy this?
I use this in front of overdrive pedals as well - od pedal set to slight overdrive, the pickup booster at noon or 3/4 - and suddenly you have a three channel amp. When using single coils put a decimator or other good noise cancellin pedal RIGHT AFTER THE GUITAR.
Really good sounds. Do they make one that emulates single coils if you're playing an LP? Maybe people should just get the right guitar in the 1st place. Tone-boosts, bass-boosts..just crank up the amp and diddle with presence. Great pedal though. Really makes a diff unlike most.
The thing, that emulates single coils on humbuckers is called coil split/tap
If it's wired up that way. Was never swayed either way by humbuckers or lipsticks in that I loved all of their attributes. Nowadays, a Fishman on an aged rice-burning Martin copy does it for me. The guitar sounds great unamplified so rarely bother to plug it in anyway...getting old here....and it keeps the audience quiet!
What is brand of your Strato? What pickups ?
its a Custom Shop with stock pups, my fave guitar!
