My current no.1 choice is Jodie Turner Smith - she is a literal goddess, but unfortunately might be too mature for the role if they're looking for franchise longevity. If they're looking to cast younger, either Sibongile Mlambo, or Joy Sunday would be perfect in the role. Both have the looks, and the acting chops. Tati Gabrielle would also be perfect - she looks incredible with white hair, and has proven to be quite the action star in Uncharted (albeit as a villian).

Anna and Yetide would be at the top of my list. My definitive Storm is the 90s animated version and she always struck me as being around 40, especially the way she's portrayed in the X-M 97 reboot. Lupita is off the table because Nakia was a bit too prominent in the MCU. Too bad Angela wasn't cast in the 2000 film, she was still young enough(early 40s) to pull it off then and one of the few actresses who could really capture Storm's regal demeanor. Her Queen Ramonda is actually pretty close to what she could've done as Storm

imma say this yes storm was badly written back in the day but I dont like how people put down halle berry. The women did save the character and fought for storm to have screen time in x2 and xmen the last stand. She was the first black woman to play a super hero in a superhero movie and paved the way for zoe kravitz and zoe saldana. The only person's who play storm is Jade Cargill she the right height @ 5"10" very muscle-build that of her comic book counter part she is a bad ass while aew she really show off what storm should look like in live action version. Now you have to fine a person is 5 feet muscle-build very athletic to play wolverine now jade is that right person for storm I don't care about the other ten women who you think to play storm none them have storm body to play her. Have Jade play storm will be the very first actual person the right thing about the character some plays not them being 5"2" or 5"4" playing storm.

How about Angela Bassett as an older Storm? The Magik series introduced us to a sorceress Storm trapped in Limbo battling Belasco.
Anna and Yetide would be at the top of my list. My definitive Storm is the 90s animated version and she always struck me as being around 40, especially the way she's portrayed in the X-M 97 reboot. Lupita is off the table because Nakia was a bit too prominent in the MCU. Too bad Angela wasn't cast in the 2000 film, she was still young enough(early 40s) to pull it off then and one of the few actresses who could really capture Storm's regal demeanor. Her Queen Ramonda is actually pretty close to what she could've done as Storm
Storm hasn't ever been portrayed as being in her 40's. Also, you need a younger taller actress who will be able to play the role for the next decade. Kiki Layne hits every box.
Bruh!!! The perfect Storm was Roshumba Williams…she was in Mortal Kombat Conquest in 1998 and she had the height, the body, the attitude, the look and martial arts capability. You should research and see if any of the older cast on this list can compare. Now Damaris, Jodi, Kiki Layne was great in the old Guard, Anna Diop and Dewanda all good but Coco Jones would be Great.
Coco Jones is young (26), tall (5,10"), beautiful brown skin and hella attitude. All these beautiful Queens look young enough to play Storm at the of 26 - 30 year old Storm because Black don’t crack but if Janelle is picked like rumors say…then I will not be watching and anyone I know best not watch it either..In that case I would’ve voted yes to Beyoncé. Ive been a fan of Storm for 40 years and watched how they destroyed her image in toons and that horrifying Fox BS (I do love Halle tho and that’s the only reason why I made a light fuss about it) hell, just bring Halle back.
