In the 'play', Thor was played by Chris Helmworth's brother and Loki was played by Matt Damon. I found it interesting that Hela is Thor's sister...but she looks a lot like Loki. As for the "we know each other....he's a friend from work" line, that was suggested by a fan and the director decided to put it in the film. Very cool.

Taika Waititi the director, voices Korg. Korg's physical design is based on the alien invaders of Earth featured in the first Thor story in Marvel comics.

Magic ammo; it's Asgard. ;) I've read elsewhere that there were two Dallas football players actually called Des and Troy. In the scene Walt Simonson originally scripted in the comic (nothing to do with Ragnarok) the issue of ammo was addressed. Skurge was around for a long time in the Thor comic. He was the sidekick to The Enchantress, who was not nearly the evil psycho Hela played here. Come to that, Hela in the comic wasn't an evil psycho. {shrug} The MCU changes things from the comics. Something a lot of people don't pick up on is HOW LONG the Hulk was on Sakaar. Two years? No. Grandmaster: "Time works differently on Sakaar. Anywhere else in the universe, I'd be millions of years old, but here on Sakaar... *extreme discretion as he is billions of years old*" Loki, who was knocked out of the Bifrost about 10 seconds before Thor was: "I've been here for weeks!"
