- Adding a hydraulic plow tilt mechanism to a snow plow using Mini-Motion actuator. Can be used on most tractors. Added to a Honda RT-5000 front hitch with Sears plow and tilt mechanism. Sorry for the length but there is much to consider. The KYB Mini-motion is expensive but is the most cost effective solution.
Great video and explanation. Superb drawings, schematics and photos along with the explanation of how to fabricate, bench test and install the components. I envy you engineering geniuses. Thanks for taking the time to teach those of us that need the help.
Really wonderful job on all the illustrations in the video.
Thanks for the video, I enjoy learning more
I sold this mount on eBay and fabricated another using a Deere Quik-Tatch hitch I purchased on Craigs List. The Deere hitch nows gives me the ability to use several attachments. I plan on posting another video soon. Thanks for your comments, I do enjoy this tractor.
Nice setup
Good video can you post were to find all the parts
The actuator is a sealed unit.
could you make this for a smaller ridi n mower? I have a dlt3000
Don't you think that's a little to slow?
can you adjust the ram perssure so it goes a bit faster
How is that manual release shown in the schematic activated?
Where can I purchase this actuator
Good video. However it makes your blade angle, not tilt.
Great video, anyway I could get the wiring schematic?
Come on , really?
I looking for a high-speed Hydraulic actuator (thrust speed: above 3m/s) that is smaller than yours and come with lower power (250 lbs is enough), and high precision. Please advise.
Any speed would work as long as it is strong enough. You should have at least 1000 lbs. Calculate the force for the blade you are using. Hydraulic Electro/hydraulic works best since static forces are balanced. I plan another video with a much more robust mount using the same actuator. The KYB actuator is solid. Thanks for watching.
Robert Danti Thank you for the reply! I am looking forward to see your new video.
where did u by the kyb actuator from i cant find one for sale
eBay -- create a search and you will receive emails as they are listed. There are several sized, a smaller/shorter one just sold.
I bought the KYB actuator new from a dealer that has no clue how to do the manual release if there is an electrical failure while I am plowing. KYB tells me to find out how from the dealer and the dealer tells me to find out from KYB. Grrrr. Does anybody know how to do the manual release on this thing?
ON electric none.
Looking for one I got some from alibaba , very good dels check them out.
How much is the actuator its self?
The KYB Actuator will cost between $275 and $400.
Todd castle
Stupid expensive
$800 and way to slow for anything I can think of
Way too slow
Too slow
