  • In one of the previous videos, we made an electric multi-truck wheelbarrow and today we're going to show you how we built an electric snow plow for it.
    • Electric + Hydraulic =...
    The basis for this project is a water boiler heater which I found at the junkyard.
    The sheet wall thickness is 2 mm, which is sufficient for so many reinforcements.
    The 8 inch electric cylinder is the perfect size for this plow.

    Excellent! However I do think that you need a tilting mechanism for the blade to change it's angle off attack to the ground. I discovered that when I made my own unit. Three adjustment profiles are needed. 1) Entire blade up and down 2) Blade side to side angle , and 3) Blade to ground angle. I also employ hydraulic pressure to keep the blade down so that it doesn't lift and bounce over ice, but cuts through them.

  • @Erik-pr2rf
    @Erik-pr2rf 2 года назад +1

    nicely done and nice use of an old electric wheelchair with the Tilt Chair function and a hot water heater . just an FYI you wanna put your plow blade down onto at ground (like right as you come out the garage ) so you can get more slow pushed away ( retired plow truck driver) and tilt your lights a lil up ya dont want them facing down raise like half an inch just a suggestion so you can get better plow coverage and better lighting .

    The best scene is in the street. Everything works. But in my opinion, the hitch system is too long and unstable, the lifting system works, but it does not ensure the plow's pressure to the ground, I do not know, maybe this is the assumption not to damage the thin rubber skid, I would make myself of a thicker rubber. I like the idea of the vehicle, and I can immediately see here a horizontal rotating brush for sweeping the yard and sidewalk. Greetings from Poland :)

    Very nice work. Perfect for flat ground. Unfortunately, I live on a mountain side (in Mongolia) and I'm trying to figure out how to move snow on uneven ground and a side slope. So far, I've only been able to use shovels which is really hard work. The snow pack has been quite deep this year (about 50cm). I could make something better, use standard shovels or just wait 2 weeks and most of it will be gone from solar melting.
