    So freaking cool. You are the man, Viny. I could have only done about half the stuff in that video. I probably would have driven the blower with a hydraulic motor because my machining skills are way behind yours. I can't believe how cool that turned out. Huge props.

      That's the funny bit about it...Here in Canada, big snowstorms are like going into war, not literally, but, you suit up, kiss your wife and kids goodbye and tell her to call the police if you're not back in 4 hours, it's a lot of work and thinks break on you, all the time...but not anymore.. 🤷‍♂️ it's now a 30min job...😲

    Thoroughly enjoyed the videos. Did a similar sort of mod for a rear drive blower to a loader mount for my Massey 1742. Made it similar to a Schulte rear drive front blower. I'll get back to you on E Mail with pics if you're interested.

    Nice job! Excellent fabrication skills. I did something similar with an old combine. I used wheels instead of the factory skid plates that were on the blower and so far have been very happy with them to avoid scarfing etc. Also, huge to be able to look ahead, saves the neck!

      Fun fact, I was blowing snow in the street...50 feet away my driveway...and a car went by... I had to rapidly shut off the blower, since I was throwing so much stones in the air! 🤦‍♂ So yeah..I kinda did!

    A trick for future: Weld on the inside of the part of the bearing to shrink it. you wont need to cut it, because weld shrinks and diameter narrows and you will be able to push bearing out with no effort ;)

    weld inside the race of the bearing, it will shrink an pop out easier than cutting with a cut off wheel

    Tip to get an bearing race out , run a bead of weld round the inside the weld pulls the race smaller and it drops out

    I have the exact same plan but I am going to use a hydraulic driven blower and a PTO hydraulic pump. I am in Ontario by the way and a first time viewer.

    if you have a TIG welder and a broken baering. you can try to weld the inside of the outside bearing ring. then the bearing chrinks and you can remove without damaging the part. also i have some 6205 ready :D

    BTW, by making the larger pulley that the backside of the V-belt rides on convex it will self center and stay on it without any guides.
    However, with too much sideways force it will run of, so for the convex pulley surface to work the system needs to be pretty well built and in line 👍

    You know those guards are much easier to put on usually than to take off. However, I do usually remove part of the bell on the connection side because with 2 guards it is a bit cramped.

    This is definitely an awesome project and only drives home the fact that once my "shop-stead" build is completed that I absolutely MUST find a lathe and mill to play and learn on!!!!!!!!!!! "machining" with a drill press and/or grinder.. well.. is NOT machining!!!!! LOL

    I don't have a tractor, and it almost never snows where I live, but I watched the whole video(and part 1). Great work. When you finished it, I fully expected a cut to a 😔man sitting on his tractor in front of the shop, waiting for it to snow, lol.

    good content, but in the old days they would just twist the belt. you see that a lot on old farm equipment.
    Although, one could also have fun with a planetary gear set there. 😁
    Also, a good time to convert to hydro, although only beneficial if you have high snow.

    If you destroy the bearing and only half of the bearing is left and you want to remove it i will give a tip. Welding. Welding cause shrinking and ring contraps and remove lightly. Simply just welding circle 3 strips on old bearing ring and thats it. No need to thank. Greetings

      Yes we do this at work, warning everyone said welding hardened steel will make it shatter and send hot sharp shards all over the shop, but have welded race cones for years and never witnessed this.

    You might want to consider adding a chain from the loader support (front bumper) to the loader torque tube to limit upward travel of the loader while its connected. That way you dont over lift the loader, disconnecting the PTO shaft.

    May I suggest that you grease the pto shaft well or it will be siezed when you come to use it next time.

    Love the ingenuity in your drive system! Just curious though why you didn't go for a hydraulic pump and motor... heck it would have solved your rotation issue and given you huge range of motion on the loader, *and* let you engage and disengage the blower, no? Would the power loss have been an issue?

      Simply put....money! (also the pump needs to be on the PTO and mine stops with the clitch...so it wasn't an option...but mostly money!)

      I could get a PTO hydraulic pump ($$$) + and an hydraulic motor ($$$) with some controls and hoses ($)...I mean the belt was 30$ and the PTO shaft was free, thanks Vevor 😅 I mean K.I.S.S.

    I could have really used that the other day. came like a meter of snow in 3 days here in southern norway and that is more than er are used to in such a short time, so i/my car was snowed in untill a big ass excevator came and cleared the road i'm on.

      Not only that, a snowblower is not symitrical, so flipping the blades won t cut it and the auger is like a big screw, it cannot be reversed

    It's funny you mention a bizarre desire to touch spinning objects. Every time I use my table saw I have some strange urge to touch the blade. I never would, but for some reason I just want to touch it....just a little.

      HAHAHA....ouin... j'avais aussi un chum moi😉 Mais je fais exprès de montrer mes erreurs, pour divertir, informer et surtout encourager les gens qui regarde ce type de contenu, que c'est normal de faire des gaffes et de ce tromper. À mon travail, je concois des machines robotisées depuis 18 ans et j'ai jamais fait ou vu un projet sans problèmes!
