Homemade SNOW PLOW for LAWN TRACTOR / QUAD !?

Homemade EXHAUST For TRACTOR MOWER !?

The "chains" on the back look really good! On the front of my Simplicity 4041, a 1500 lb machine, for snow plowing, I deflated the front tires, added a #40 roller chain on the center of the tread and re-inflated them. Gives much better steering on the ice when pushing snow.

Excellent. My next project. Too many negative comments here, give this man credit for being creative. Or just shut up.
Those are the only choices huh? That's a pretty negative comment there.
@@percyfaith11 Do you want some tissues for the tears crybaby
Nice mower
Makes it easier to plow and go off road if you take the mower deck off

Excellent job really useful 👍 👏
Try losing the mower deck during winter.
That’s just multitasking like real men do
Whether in the manufacture, installation and use, it's simple, fast and efficient at all levels
Great video
Happy 2022. Great idea my friend.👍👍
Not a bad idea. I don't know what advantage there would be to front chains when most lawn tractors are only 2-wheel drive. I was surprised to see the blade because you could have probably blown the snow off with your mower deck.
Regular tire chains would have been my choice.
Your the best 👌thanks for sharing 👍I need that for my tractor 🚜 cool.
Kind regards from London UK 🇬🇧.
It’s a great idea for the back tires only thanks for the video
Happy new year Doctor D .S
Phenomenal work getting those chains that tight on your tires. Bravo
Awesome! One recommendation, put high spot welds on the top of the bars. On side hills you now have skis.
Problem solved!!! I love your genius idea!!! My dad would love you!! Now put them on the market so I can buy them!
Думал час будет кучу снега гребсти а тут и метлой снег можно было вымести😅😅😅
coming soon how to replace mower transmission
Ive been thinking about building a drop axle off the rear pto and finding tracks but have had trouble finding tracks. These are a perfect idea
Wow. These are the best tire chains/tracks I have seen and easy to make. Good job. I may build a set for full size tractor that had turf tires.on it.
Svaka čast majstore super ideja
Awesome Work nice to seee goin to give it ago we got lots of Snow Goin to build for My Quad see what happins thks again Keep them Comin Farmer
Bust up the pack and ice too ! BRAVO
How about video on how to take mower deck off ...? Dr ...?
HA !! But the mower deck was working as a secondary plow !! Also could blow off a dusting of snow !!
He can cut, weld, build his own chains but those 'Quick Pull Clips' are a MOFO🤯...🤣
Great idea 💡 thanks for sharing. I just wish I could have some snow this decade 😩 lol.
Wow..nice homade.. good job my friend
Doctor ds you got me! I try and swipe your dang notifications every time I see it!
Brilliant!
I had a lawnmower like tgat that I was using for getting wood , and it was spinning like mad , if only .....
Thank you very much
No good on ice bit of a slope it will slide sideways like it's got skates on just like Dozer tracks if you don't have growser bars on them
Супер. Молодец. Браво. Лайк. Так сделаю себе на минитрактор. Пламенный привет с Татарстана г.Агрыз Россия 🇷🇺🖐️🤝👍🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
crazy , regular pair of chains cut off will do the same thing
Great job ! Looks like you should patent the chains and market them!
That is awesome!! Please give an update on how well they are holding up.
that will raise alot of hell on the cement !!! 👍👍
THIS GUY IS A GENIUS I LOVE HIS IDEA IT'S A PROBLEM SOLVER.
More like a problem maker if he truly expects the light duty transaxle to handle the load of a huge blade and added traction. Jeeeez Louise!
Genius idea!! Well done!
Now I need to look for scrap bed frames in the garbage
Why do you need chains on the front wheels? Is the mower four wheel drive?
Najlepszego w nowym roku! Doctor D.S. włącz kosisko do trawy.
頭良いな!
great job!
What an awesome idea! Thanks!!
Saw this video and then went and made my own, except I didn't have any angle so I used some old T-posts and cut the knobs off the ridge.
Молодец здорово всё отлично получается.
Great idea.Happy New Year everyone./Odlična ideja. Srećna Nova godina svima.
Predobre ideje imas svaka cast 💪
excelente ideia.
Great video! Need something on the front tires to help with steering on ice!
Nice. I like those. Good job 👍
those are more like the steel tracks for a wheeled bobcat than tire chains. awesome idea!
We made these years ago for bob cat applications. They didn't hold up we utilized different type of materials. It was cheaper in the long run to buy factory tracking.
Great idea
Unless that thing is front wheel drive putting them on the front is a waste
Now that is a really cool idea 💡 nice job
Sretna nova godina.
It’s awesome as long as you understand that you are destroying your lawn under the snow and come spring your going to have tractor tracks going back and forth across your yard but still very cool idea 👍
I never seen a man to weld so quick.
Similar to ones on my skid steer loader but best ones was the floating dozer type skid steer tracks around tires
I know some guys that used their lawn tactor to plow or bought a snowblower for the front. They used chains on the rear but they had to add weight to the rear of the machine to get enough traction on ice even with the chains.
you put the chains on back ward, well in forward if you put the small side of the angle iron first then the longer side going back ward its more stable cause the long side is pushed against the tire! Just my two cents worth , Im only trying to help.
Bad ass snowdozer😍
That's bad ass dude and well done
Enjoy your snow removal
Thank you 🙏 great 👍 work and nice 👍 toy 🚜 .a little welding,a little cutting, =snow mower Brrr 🥶
Скоро будут новые подшипники нужны
i would try notching the center of each cleat to prevent lateral movement on ice
Great idea🏅🏅🏅👍👍👍
Hey if you want even MORE traction I would suggest putting them on opposite sides, backwards of what you did.. Just my thoughts when I saw it, let me know if you try it please..
#1- Your going to get a much better, deeper edge with the snow being able to sink into the tire tread before hitting the 90° edge opposed to the flat part of the angle iron contacting the ground first and limiting it's bite the depth of that edge minus the thickness of the gauge opposed to coming from the other direction..
#2- If you're losing traction, tire begins to spin and then the edge catch's on something solid I think that stress would easily flex the the front edge of the angle iron off the tire tilting your 90° biting edge back on an angle causing loss of ultimate traction.. Where if it's backwards it would have the full width of that angle iron pressing against the tire acting as a brace to keep it close to 90° and prevent it from just twisting everytime it's stressed causing loss of traction.. ( If using strictly for snow on pavement or concrete this probably wouldn't apply but I think most people's comments and interests were to make a set for added traction 'off-road'..
Comment if you agree or disagree or have tried.. that's how we learn !! 👍
simple efficient
thanks / idea
Good work...good shop
Good job!
I used to run heavy equipment, big dozers to little dozers, and every one had track pads like that, and everyone would slide on ice, they always found the low spot, whether it was a ditch, or over the hill, just sayin
Stop and think for a second, this was never tried before? This didn't work very well? O yea, chains is what works!
These work decent on Bobcat 643 and s70 but you gotta use bent flat bar on the ends to keep them guided on
Awesome thanks
Я смотрю снег для вашего региона редкость.🤔
bravo copile esti tare
Fun project
Big blade on it!!
Nice job 👍
That's a great ideal
those front tire chains would be great on a snowblower especially if it were track drice blower those would make great tracks
The idea seems interesting in terms of increasing traction.
But it also increases the stress on the ball bearings of the wheels and the steering.
If I were you, I would keep a close eye on these elements.
While watching the video, we can clearly see that the entire tractor is subjected to the jolts produced by these chains.
Great idea. Wondered if instead of angle iron sections maybe sections of chain might work to conform to tire better. 🤔
Chains were used over 100 years ago!
So you mean like tire chains lol
That’s literally just a tire chain
Waoooo2 no 1 mantap
You made a monster tractor Dude 😂 I mean look at it Broh that's awesome 👏🙌
Tank you very much.
That was downright awesome I could use a set of those we got 16 in here
Hey bud nice craftsmanship, but I'd like to offer a word of caution from a guy who works on mowers for a living. Your chains are going to beat your transmission to death. The repeated jarring and bouncing causes the top of the transaxle case to break up and the bushings will crack as well. I've seen it first hand with craftsman poulan and husqvarna tractors and it appears your machine is made by the same ayp group. Wheel weights would help but unfortunately the extra rotating mass ends up tearing up the brass worm gear inside the transaxle. Your best bet is to fluid fill the tires and stud the tires if you have enough lug depth on them and add a small weight box. If you want any help or suggestions on doing anything of those things send me a message I'd be happy to help.
Had a craftsmanship...rear end went bad.....they are light duty transmissions...don't over stress them
normal tire chains are better then the item in the video ,, extra weight is a must to keep the slipping down ,, also removing the deck will help save the deck from breaking the hangers from the rough work of plowing ,, also make sure the tires are not froze in the ground ,, seen a axle break when a customer tried too drive the mower that was stuck solid in frozen ground ..
First of your videos I’ve seen. Excellent! Now, about the security fence…. The horizontal at the top should point to the outside of your property. Pointing inwards it’s ineffective.
those are some sick snow chains.i need to make these.michigan snow sucks
I don’t know if you meant to make your design the way you did or if it was just trial and error, but excellent choice of paddles. I seen some videos of guys using channel iron instead of angle iron, and that was the wrong choice. They would plug up. Whereas angle iron is like self cleaning. well done.
Maybe 🤔 it’s time for a Lincoln locker 🔐 on the back end!
good idea
nice idea...
I love it ..............
That got me thinking about making steel lug wheels for a garden tractor.
Odlicno... Nocas bit ce mozda snjega i dobro bi dosla takva ralica 😀 Sretno u 2022-oj i puno novih ideja ti zelim. Veliki pozdrav iz Slovenije.
❤❤❤❤
Super video svaka cast
