I find it better to leave the quasar cannon to two others in the group if you are using the eruptor. They can take care of the spores, shrieker nests, chargers, and bile titans while you focus on another role. Instead, I would run the stalwart or the lmg to deal with smaller enemies and use the eruptor to close hives, break the bile titan sacks, and take out clumped up enemies. Haven’t tried this on robots because I don’t think the stalwart works against them as it does against bugs.
How do you kill the shrieker nest with it?
@@EduardoSilva-br7cd the quasar cannon is used to take out shrieked nests in my example. The eruptor does no damage.
stalwart is pretty pointless, the rover can literally do its job. You don't really face enough enemies for stalwart to properly shine.
While it's good against hunters and smaller, medium sized enemies tend to be a bit too bullet spongey, which is where the rifle shines. And if you end up facing a charger, being able to kill it from the front is more convenient than trying to hit it in the butt 3 times with your rifle
Everytime I get my sentry turrets into the perfect spot, the randos always destroy it for no reason. It is infuriating.
I know im late to the party. If u hold the ping button down, there is a need supplies callout. Sometimes u need to let the greedy divers know.

Yeah I think it needs to fly a meter or two directly above your head instead of next to you where it can melt you on accident.
great gameplay and analysis but kinda wish you also took it on the bot side too its nice hearing both sides and eventually 3rd sides point of view.

maybe its just me, but a sniper that works when you shoot "somewhere in the general vicinity" isn't actually a sniper
Correct it's a game changer
Believe it or not, modern precision rifle technology development is focused on making sniper rifles do exactly this. They have worked on developing self-guiding bullets to correct for user inaccuracy so that you can fire in the general direction and still hit your targets.
Right now there is no “busted” weapon. All weapons have they uses. There is no busted base weapon yet.
yea.. the problem is, most ppl just focus on the damage(+penetration) of a weapon itself and flame about the OPness of a weapon. A good example is the Autocannon... it's good vs. bots, but they ignore, that you can't take a shield. Besides the reloading time of the Eruptor, the limited range (the bullet explodes after a fixed range), the small magacine and the handling; the Eruptor forces you to play a support weapon that lets you deal with small enemies, that engage you in close combat. It's not the reload time itself, that makes you vulnerable in these close comabt situations, but the splash damage is so big, you need something fast shooting. So no Quasar, Autocannon... Many ppl swear on the combination with the Arc Thrower, I personally hate it, since you can kill your team mates pretty easy. Vs. Bots I take the Machine Gun and vs. Bugs I play with the Laser Dog, the standard pistol and most times with the stalwart. So basically Eruptor is my support weapon and Stalwart my primary weapon. Only if no one takes a Quasar when fighting bugs, I play the Eruptor with Quasar, Laser Dog, 500kg for bile Titans and the Gatling Turret as an emergency button, if I am surrounded by too many little bugs, so that Dog can't handle it
I personally hope they won't nerf the Eruptor, but I can imagine, they lower the damage and maybe the splash radius. I would totally understand it, that they take out the ability to destroy nests or fabricators, so you are forced to play explosive grenades or grenade pistol (right now, I use stun grenades, which let you win distance to your enemies in critical situations)
Disagree. Some weapons are great at only a few things and are bad at others (the ideal IMHO), but others are great at most things and good at everything else. Some weapons are bad at most things and only OK on a few things. And some are just bad at everything.
Also, getting a little concerned about power creep with these new primaries. I will have to get hands on with it a bit more, but I think you can make a case that this thing outclasses the Anti-Material Rifle due to its AOE and extra damage vs. bugs. Not sure if it works on bots weaknesses the same way - if it does, this thing makes the AMR obsolete.
