Based on what koichi said about running out of breathe tells me when he flew and almost died as a kid he almost suffocated.
This is actually kinda an example of quirk singularity
That is a point I was interested in. Cause usually his quirk seems no effort. But this is the first time we see it actually effect him in some way like say with Uraraka and her nausea when using her quirk. Where he is losing breath when he does those blasts of air. And with that fact, I think there might be a theory in there.

Devonte Hardimon as far as I’m considered his quirk is a lot like captain celebrity,s accept it uses air from his own body and can’t work on others. However he can launch that “blanket” as compressed air.
I would call this concept *”air muscle”*
I’d say uraraka,s nausea is more on the line riding a fast rollercoaster and being dizzy afterwards

He can change the direction of the force he can produce to stick to a surface or glide a few cm above it
He can also shoot concentrated force from his hands and feet
He concentrates forces by holding his breath and focusing on the area
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOw i do believe this was shown in an earlier chapter, but sadly it wasn't made that clear
When Koichi was hanging upside down assisting Capatain Celebrity, he was stuck to the ceiling with relative ease, but the more he used his SGB the harder it became to keep producing force.
This also shows that the amount of force he can produce is actually a resource and have to be managed between his mobility options and his offensive ones

After reading vigilantes and not seeing Knuckleduster after his battle with 6 make me think that he's been turned into a Nomu and we'll see that Nomu in the main series manga

Seeing how much Koichi has been developing his quirk is honestly insane. It really makes hope even more that he doesn’t stop existing when the manga ends and we get to see him do some Vigilante work in the main manga. Also Kazuho and Koichi’s interaction in the flash back was absolutely adorable.

The story of MHA vigilantes was only a few months before Deku met all might and enrolled at U.A. I think Koichi is already enrolled at a different Hero school if not U. A. And if he hasn't then he might be planning to enroll again at U.A after securing more money.
It would definitely be cool to see Koichis face pop up in main my hero the moment vigilanties ends, what if he's in jail and stain asks why he's there and if it was worth it causing a team up vs all for one +other villains I'd probably lose my shit
And Koichi going to jail could be the reason Aizawa ended up deciding to become a teacher, to help other young kids aspiring to be heroes.
Man knuckleduster is really looking like batman more than anything nowadays. Koichi is like robin and pop step batgirl
i always pictured koichi as spiderman because he is an outcast with his peers and is also an unorthodox hero unlike knuckle duster and batman

Seeing how far Koichi has come is astounding and really makes you think how far up the rankings he would be if he was properly trained and licensed.
I also think that this is a first for this series, seeing a main character contemplate using lethal force to stop someone, and it is chilling. Side note, the reason that Rapt is especially nervous about the SGB's piercing capabilities is because he made a comment about Koichi shooting him in the gut, as kind of a "let me see if I can take it" type thing, and then immediately puts his shirt down upon seeing max power because he knows that the SGB can do immense damage if Koichi was trying.
I want Kochi to be in the main series even if it's just a cameo I need some of that crawler epicness on the big pages
Honestly, I think it might be cool for Koichi to ask Tensei (Iida’s older brother) to help him train since he would need more space to train his quirk and doing quirk training in the streets wouldn’t be legal. I also feel that if koichi appears in the main my hero story then he could be really good to develop Iida, after all, he knew Tensei before the stain incident and he also has a speed based quirk.
But's he's already faster than tensei tho? When he worked with Tensei before he could already match his speed, and now he's faster than ever.
Koichi's Superpower: Forcefield manipulation
Specifications: Repelling Forcefield and Gravitational Forcefield
It's crazy how this is only Chapter 76 of Vigilantes and the series is already in its endgame.
The manga storyline is ending soon, which leads me to believe something major is going to happen. Koichi is definitely going to kill number 6 and him and Pop Step will get sent to Tartarus (which will make Aizawa decide to become a teacher). This will tie in with MHA Jail break arc.
is anybody going to turn into a Noumu, Nighteye?
I love how in shonen attempted murder is pretty much the same thing as asking someone if they wanna be friends.
Toru Hagikure got into UA when her quirk is pretty useless for heroics. Shes pretty much your prime spy.
I wouldn't say she's useless by any means...she can literally manipulate light. Potentially if she has excellent control skills, she could do things like focus sunlight into an extremely powerful beam. disorient the enemy by messing with the light and their vision, make visual clones by bending and distorting like and enemy perception. She's already shown to be able to manipulate powerful lasers so it's not out of the question she could produce her own by using physics to bend light and energy from the environment into a laser stronger than even todoroki's fire.
Hopefully this series gets animated in the future.
I really love this series it's hard to find people covering it. I really hope that this series has a happyish ending and I hope that Koichi ends up a licensed hero and shows up in the main MHA story as there's a massive year difference between the events of both series. I hope he doesn't end up in tartarus, because Koichi is honestly one of my favorite characters that exist within the MHA universe.
My wild accusation is that he's gonna teach Bakugo and Deku
I hope that Koichi becomes a pro hero, and maybe even a teacher at a hero school like UA. Having someone like him be a law professor and discussing the practicalities of the law compared to how they are supposed to work.
@@DanExclaims Or Iida. Koichi is friends with both Aizawa, Iida's homeroom teacher, and Tensei, Iida's brother. Plus they're both speedsters.
Well if he is in prison, if there is a prison break arch (and you know there's gonna be a LOV prison break arch) it would be cool to see Koichi helping the heroes and eventually escaping t o help the heroes in his own way as the Naruhata Crawler
Honestly I think I’d like it more if he was put in Tartarus and managed to escape when villains raid it. I like the idea of a rougher and tougher koichi whose been stuck in jail and has more of a knuckleduster vibe.

I love that everything I hate about the main series just doesn't apply to vigilante. It's so much better and shonen jump isn't meddling in it as badly as the main series. such a based manga

I could see the entire team getting killed. Kochi being forced to kill 6 and Pop and not being able to revive her. Getting arrested and being heart broken enough to just allow himself to be taken away. That certainly would also allow for him to crossover into the main story if a prison break was to occur.
Jotaro would be proud of him
Looking back and yeah this would be where he is at. Cause so much of his feats have been increasing like being able to hold off the bombers. Also on a side note, this might be the first time where he is doing what his master does and taking the fight to the villains.

Scary thought, but I feel like the obvious reason as for why Knuckleduster isnt around is that he was killed or disabled during his fight with number 6. He would join the fight, maybe reluctantly, but he would feel that t was his mess once he realized the bees were back and/or number 6 was still around.
So i would say he unfortunately was killed, or was disabled (like he was paralyzed or something) and couldn't help even if he wanted to. Using the excuse to spend time with his family. I doubt that he would just let the villains he failed to stop get away just wreak havoc and do nothing about it.
After how much Slide-n-Glide has evolved, I'd say Koichi has the greatest potential out of anyone in the series, including Deku

Koichi was trained by Ingenium, the real speedy boy, meaning he will definitely be a good hero!
Imagine this guy at full potential. He could concentrate points of repulsion on different parts of his body to deflect attacks, and use his attraction force to cling back and forth between surfaces all while sliding around. I love quirks like this, that start off seeming super lame, but the more you understand them, the more potential they have.
That ring he can make with the Shooty-Go-Blam seems to be pretty important. As a long time troper, he's gonna he able to use that thing to do something really cool. Im hoping like, remote points for S-G-B to increase his fire power or maybe extra levitating footholds so he can extend his jump range maybe. Vigilantes has turned out to be really good and i usually try to get people whom swear off MHA to try this out.
Either way though, Pop's gonna be down an eye though isnt she... and Soga, oh man, he better quit making himself relevant to the plot so much or he'll qualify for "death for extra tension" and spike boi has become too endearing for that.
I agree i think we will at least see a dodge in midair using his hands in later fight

can someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't recall Knuckleduster being shown to survive the building collapse. as far as I remember he told his daughter he had one last thing to take care of and then nothing. a lot of blood was found, but no body. I have a feeling the number 6 took the body with him for some reason and it might have been one of the bodies in that room, maybe being used to keep the queen alive or grow a new queen? I do got to say, I am actually liking this series more than the main one. I like the character development, the stories, and the underlying morals and ethics questions. it just seems more...I don't know, real. the characters seemed to be more alive to me.
I love tomuras character to much but I agree as a whole this story is freakin awesome
@@Twice-RE I also like how it talks about justice and following the law. sometimes doing the right thing is not always inline with the law, but following your conscience and what feels right and moral to you. that was a very interesting part of the story that really drew me into it.

The soga boys are my fav side characters in vigilantes, like just how they took care of knuckledusters daughter, and rapt is such an asshole and I love it

Depends on if he can reach a minimum of 88 mph and has access to 1.21 gigawatts of electricity which given all the weird quirks in MHA? That's surprisingly achievable (Just need someone smart to build a flux capacitor)
I think there's a frame where pop-step's on the television and her tongue's clearly got the trigger, so your previous assumption about it from her close-up is pretty much confirmed. Can't wait to see how the fight turns out lmao

As always a great video from you Dan and damn I prefer with so much this manga over the MHA and I would love to see the characters here in the main MHA manga. Or even an anime about the vigilantes that would be the one I would be waiting for as it is better written to a certain extent than Horikoshi´s with all respect due is due because without it we would not have the vigilantes manga.
I kinda hope koichi being able to use his quirk without needing to be close to the target.and can use both attraction and repulsion power

Around about the same time Aizawa decides to teach at UA. Also somewhat between Allmight fighting AFO the first time and giving OFA to Deku.

Ok since Soga, Koichi & crew may not now about Number 6 I could see the mission playing out, at first, how they want it. Koichi nabs Quenn Pop midair, uses a light S.G.B to knock her out so Queen Bee doesn't kill the host & Soga, Rapt & Mayu administer "first aid". However Number 6 shows up & Koichi's battle with him starts while Soga & crew resuscitate Pop. Speed-wise now I have no doubt Koichi has a chance but he may have to use the new piercing S.G.B which could land him in hot water as you said.
Unrelated I like your Koichi & Tsukauchi being a Batman & Gordon, if the last chapter ends with an allusion to that with a crime occuring & Tsukauchi standing on a rooftop with Koichi I would go crazy.

So, I think Six and 9 could be the test subjects. And 7,8 are still around, or it could be as simple as them only being able to store 6 and 9 quirks respectively.

Koichi's quirk in the first chapters was silly and a fun take for everyone to look at and say "what a lame quirk, it's funny that someone that silly would want to be a vigilante!" but as time has gone on? Koichi's quirk is 100% amazing hero material. He has range, speed, versatility, he's the perfect patrol hero.
But does Koichi want to be a real hero or does he just like being a vigilante/neighborhood do-gooder? I wonder who he'll want to be in the future.
Regardless I'd love to see him in main MHA chapters a bit when Vigilantes wraps up since we've already gotten Loud Cloud it's definitely possible! *shrug*

I now wish to read said Danfiction also please tell me i'm not the only one who read the title and heard tfs Vegeta saying TRAINING BEGINS NOW! Seeing Kouichi's quirk unshackled can't lie my initial thought process was him putting Iida to shame in terms of speed along, it also left me thinking if he was given a high training regiment he'd be stupid strong with Slide n Go from speed pseudo flight and an actual means for an attack method. Oh god the more I think about it if trained proficiently his quirk would look similar to Engine and Explosion in certain aspects.

I know such a power like that is overused in anime, Goku's Kamehameha, Naruto's Rasengan/Spirit Bomb, Yusuke's Spirit Gun, every mothrfckin beam pulled out of every character's ass in Bleach.But the fact that Koichi has such an iconic move in his arsenal, makes me really want him to be the main character of My Hero instead of Deku. His quirk development is just amazing and makes him more likeable and memorable. Sometimes i wished Deku didnt have access to all the past user's quirks and focused on developing One For All
I mean he can summon a gravity defying ghost and was able to punch people with it. He fought an explosion type ghost and teamed with a guy who killed a vampire. Of course he's going to be stronger.
I really Hope Kochi Meets Deku and trainees with him that will be really cool
