Been using pledge on my tires since the early 90s. I started using it on my 89 TransAm and found it works way better then any of the marketed tire wet products. I still use it to this day.. I spray it on the tires and just leave it, and then spray it on again the next day. It lasts for a week. I also use it on all the black trim, and on the inside dash and center console of my Ford Escape.. Again works way better then marketed armor all and has a nice lemon new car smell to it.. After having my Escspe for 2 years, I took it to the dealership for a small repair and they couldn’t believe how immaculate my truck looked!
Watched your video last night. Went out and purchased some Pledge and a soft brush. All I can say is this, OMG !! Best looking tire I’ve ever had. I’ve used Tire Wet for years and within an hour, it was slung all over my vehicle. This is the best thing since, sliced bread. Lol Thanks for the video and info. I will never use anything else. 💪🏼🇺🇸
You just admitted to a lower than 80 IQ. Good job... (every body clap so timmy feels good) Now go shit in the sand box timmy mommy will bring you snacks...
Pledge also works great on rear fenders for burnouts. So cars that see drag strips frequently if you spray some pledge on the rear fenders and quarter panel before you go it will reduce the amount of rubber build up. The rubber that does stick will wipe away easily.
Could be a PITA but I have seen white paint pen used to touch up the lettering and it looked great. Side note: The white paint pen was being used on aircraft tires and yes it was punishment for being late
I showed up to your channel with the 3rd gen camaro, and was totally in love with that thing and your taste in modifying vehicles. Im pretty much an import guy, but the work you have done on dear old Marge and that awesome 70's road race aesthetic REALLY makes me want to get something domestic but a little outside the norm of what people traditionally go for. anyway, keep up the awesome work!
Ok...I'm going to Walmart now. 😓 Edit: Ok, $70 bucks later at Walmart I have the Pledge and other crap I didn't really need to get. Yup, it works pretty good. The tires look like a rich satin. Way better than a slimy/wet look. Thanks 🤙
Hey, I just bought a 2014 jeep wrangler 4 door rubicon and it is also black like yours. I plan on doing a lot of what you have done because yours is great. You have great editing skills and gave me the confidence to hopefully build mine up.
I got mine lifted 3.5 inches and I got myself some 35x12.5r17 bfg KO2's and like McDonalds I'm lovin' it. I need to do that rubi rock rail trim like you did in your tire video will be referring to that real soon haha. Keep it up man!
Appreciate your time and effort brother....u really have patience to explain things.....have gotten great ideas from your whole jeep project....i got a 2010 unlimited and had been looking to upgrade on fenders and tires....may God bless you....thumbs up
autoedit thanks for the tip I have 18" Bridgestone Dueler LTH white letter on my 2007 Ford f 150 super crew I work for a trucking company and alot of dust at our yard but I may try this I DO like taking lemon pledge and spraying it on a nice soft hand towel patting the towel together and dusting off the the paint finish I've done this for years gives a nice slick finish to the paint
I wasn't going to follow your advice until I saw you had the Miller High Life. Anyone that drinks that, is someone I should listen to, as it is my go to beer as well.
I used pledge back in the 70s on my tires and yes they looked great . There really wasn't any products for tires back then . They did have one product back then that you used a paint brush to apply and let me tell you it always lead to a runny mess. lol
Your videos are always put together so nicely great editing love all your videos seeing you put the metalcloak fenders on your jeep has convened me to get some on mine.
CarPro Perl, dilute 1 to 1 for your tires and you can also use it on all your other exterior plastics. You can dilute at a higher ratio for your interior if you like a dressed interior. Maguiar's Hyper Dressing is another good option that you can dilute for multiple dressing options. Both are water based and no silicone.
what I like to do is spray on the armor all or black magic and then let it set in and rinse it off it doesn't give that shiny look but it gives it a clean look
Meguiars Hyper Dressing - It's $50 minus %20 discounts from AutoGeek. It's a concentrate which you add to a spray bottle and just a little bit gives the Satin sheen you're after and lasts a long time. Much cheaper than cans of Pledge.
Civilized Delinquent I found that WD-40 works really well on faded plastic panels. Such as the beauty panels under the hood and side trim panels. I spray it on the towel and wipe it on. I do not spray it directly on the plastic. And for some reason, it seems like it almost repels dirt, dust, and sand. And if you do by chance start accumulating dust, it just sprays off with water and the panels look new again. I do not, however, recommend using WD-40 on interior trim as the smell of it is not too delightful.
tire shine from the roller store. is great as well...1.00. can't beat that..I like a car show shine..to..but if I'm not going to a car show..I just like my tires just clean and black.
I like this. not too much gloss. I'm also not a fan of the "wet look". I bought some turtle wax tire shine that guarantees its stays shiny for a couple weeks. Guess what. It didn't last 2 days. Go figure. And it leaves runs yet it also states "No Sling" on the bottle. I was thoroughly disappointed when I saw how well it didn't work. I will definitely give this a try. I just want my tires black like they should be. Not grayish brownish with the faded look. Thank you for this video. Good stuff!!
From what I've read, Pledge does not contain any UV protection. I read a post from a guy that claimed he called S.C. Johnson (manufacturer of Pledge) and they recommended against the use of Pledge outdoors on vinyls and plastics as it lacks UV protection and they've found that it can cause discoloration with too much exposure to sun. Not sure if this also applies to rubber? I like 303. It has a nice non-glossy finish and lasts longer than any other product I've used before needing to be reapplied. Great videos! Always happy when a new ones shows up in my list.
That is good information and believe the UV thing. I do know that from many years of experience, I have been happy using it on my different vehicles. Thanks for the tip on the 303... I'm going to order some and try it! Sometimes the internet is super rad this way!
Jeff G me too back in the day my dad used it on his 79 lil red Express truck as a wax like alot of others and it would Beed for months but he started noticing it was eating the clear coat and he used it on the tires and it started to crack and the white letters started to fade
I am confused by all the praise of 303. As a straight UV protectant, it's probably top notch. But it did not make my black plastics and rubber blacker. On my '14 Jeep, it literally did nothing for the appearance. The 303 Multipurpose Cleaner did far more than the Protectant. Only with the 303 Cleaner and Back to Black I was able to get rid of mud stains and blacken. Maybe Arizona sun is just to too harsh? *shrug*
Thank you for this amazing tip. I don't like the looks of ArmorAll on Jeep tires - besides it ends up all over the sides of my Jeep as the ArmorAll is slung off my 35s. Thanks for the Tom Woods custom driveshaft vid - I'm now getting those! Keep your videos coming!
looking forward to some new of your offroad vid's as far as i saw you tried the easier stuff learning about the jeep. dunno but i like to watch while you do more and more difficult stuff getting better on the way. (not that i did more than you did until now but your "offroad-trying-videos" totally fascinate me)
Thanks! I did get after it a bit more when I was in Moab last month and climbed some challenging stuff. A friend of mine shot video and when he sends it over, I'll post it up here!
I use to buy this tire gel in a green bottle from Autozone and it would last 2-3 weeks even after car washes and rain. Maybe it worked too good because I've never been able to find it again.
Generic pledge on my 35s! Looks great! I'm usually so against tire shine products But this is a great protection for sun damage! It looks like it replenished some much needed oil to the rubber.
thanks for sharing this! i never used armorall much for the reason that its a greasy mess. this seems like a great alternative. should look good on my 285 75 16s on my f250.
my baby was really dirty so I just sprayed it with pledge and wiped it with a hard plastic bristled brush... she shined up really nice, the pledge didn't build up either, I sprayed her the next day, makes them smell better as well
hey my name is Alex and i just saw your video and i really liked it. if you don't mind me asking, what kind of wheels are you running on your wrangler and what size tire. they look really good on it. i have been looking for new wheels for a long time now and i didn't find any that caught my attention tell now sorry for the log message but just curious
Hey Jason, that’s a great trick! On a side note, I’m expecting to hear from a Jeep dealer today regarding a newer JK I’m looking to purchase....👍. I’ll keep you posted.....

Great to hear!
Dude for some reason your videos are like no other on RUclips. It feels like a real tv show and your editing skills are great!
That's his job, these are his personal builds/projects.
he works for motor trend
Chris T his and chris fix
Thanks so much... it takes a bit of effort but hearing comments like this from you REALLY makes it feel worthwhile!
Cool deal Jason!
Pledge is awesome. I use it in my stainless appliances and granite counters.
Pwoppop Pwoopoo don't use it near the wood floors so slippery now
Ruben Ramirez yes. I have slipped. Hah.
You just admitted to a lower than 80 IQ.
Good job...
(every body clap so timmy feels good)
Now go shit in the sand box timmy mommy will bring you snacks...
Consuela from family guy has been telling me about the power of lemon pledge for years! lmao!
Brandon Toussaint 😂😂😂 Thought about her the whole video
Great video, my grandfather showed me that trick years ago and I still do it today. That 73 looks great.
Very cool!
I use pledge, and the no name stuff. I love it.
So now that my tires smell like wood furniture, I sure hope they don't attract more nails.
YES! Legit comedy right there... thanks!
@@AutoEdits that was a pretty good one!
Might attract the nails from hot chicks, a good problem to have. Chicks dig lifted Jeeps. 😎
I read your comment and in my head I heard the Audience laugh track from 70s sitcoms..
It will attract bees!
Ok, I confirmed with an SC Johnson Rep on the phone today that this is safe to use on tires and even interior!
No potential vested interest there.
Pledge also works great on rear fenders for burnouts. So cars that see drag strips frequently if you spray some pledge on the rear fenders and quarter panel before you go it will reduce the amount of rubber build up. The rubber that does stick will wipe away easily.
I use Pledge for the interior as well, with two 70lb pups I find that it works great on my Ram and Jeep
Cool to hear that!
Could be a PITA but I have seen white paint pen used to touch up the lettering and it looked great.
Side note:
The white paint pen was being used on aircraft tires and yes it was punishment for being late
I've always used that I get it from the dollar store it's not pledge its furniture polish same difference works wonders
Wow, really awesome to hear! Thanks so much for sharing and watching.
Glad to see I'm not the only person that doesn't use tire dressing.
As a BFG employee, it makes me proud to see you loving some BFG Tires!
Ok...I'm going to Walmart now. 😓
Edit: Ok, $70 bucks later at Walmart I have the Pledge and other crap I didn't really need to get.
Yup, it works pretty good. The tires look like a rich satin. Way better than a slimy/wet look. Thanks 🤙
HA! Nicely done!
I like the pledge and the high life.
HA! Me too!
Interesting trick. Seems like it might help repel dirt too. I'll try it out!
Awesome video and neat trick. I am going to give it a whirl next time the Jeep gets washed. You continue to live the high life buddy!
Haha! It's some sort of life for sure.
Hey, I just bought a 2014 jeep wrangler 4 door rubicon and it is also black like yours. I plan on doing a lot of what you have done because yours is great. You have great editing skills and gave me the confidence to hopefully build mine up.
That's awesome to hear! Good luck and stay in touch! Thanks!
I got mine lifted 3.5 inches and I got myself some 35x12.5r17 bfg KO2's and like McDonalds I'm lovin' it. I need to do that rubi rock rail trim like you did in your tire video will be referring to that real soon haha. Keep it up man!
I've been doing this for 20 yrs
Finally!!! Thought you have stoped making vids!? Was worried for a sek! Please upload more often!
Ok, I'll try
Appreciate your time and effort brother....u really have patience to explain things.....have gotten great ideas from your whole jeep project....i got a 2010 unlimited and had been looking to upgrade on fenders and tires....may God bless you....thumbs up

Cool!
I use a non siliacate foam that cleans the dirt off without a build up.
I use that stuff, from the Dollar store, to shine my dress shoes.
This guy really likes the word "Handsome"!!!!
what I like to do is spray on the armor all or black magic and then let it set in and rinse it off it doesn't give that shiny look but it gives it a clean look
I also just use tyre shine but then just wipe off the excess and you get a nice black look with out being overly glossy
Meguiars Hyper Dressing - It's $50 minus %20 discounts from AutoGeek. It's a concentrate which you add to a spray bottle and just a little bit gives the Satin sheen you're after and lasts a long time. Much cheaper than cans of Pledge.
I use to always use Pledge on bringing back the colour out of my faded, scratched 4 wheeler plastics. Smells great too!
Ha! I do love the smell as well.
Civilized Delinquent I found that WD-40 works really well on faded plastic panels. Such as the beauty panels under the hood and side trim panels. I spray it on the towel and wipe it on. I do not, however, recommend using WD-40 on interior trim as the smell of it is not too delightful.
Great tip - here's another one.
Pledge those faded black plastic fenders. They'll look new. - but don't lean on them - you'll slide off!!!
you can
if you have light scratchs in the clean coat. it will hide them tell it wears off
tire shine from the roller store. is great as well...1.00. can't beat that..I like a car show shine..to..but if I'm not going to a car show..I just like my tires just clean and black.
Thanks jayson! Made my day
Works great on anything you Line X too, cool video.
Very cool trick. Gotta remember this one
Those Rugged Ridge wheels are badass!! I may consider going with those over the Mammoth Boulder wheels...
I have been very happy with them!
I start watching this videos no lie your mustang got my eyes ding ding dongs ding lol looking good hopefully I can drive it one day
Give Carpro Perl a try! Its a great tire dressing that leaves a nice satin look!
I like this. not too much gloss. I'm also not a fan of the "wet look". I bought some turtle wax tire shine that guarantees its stays shiny for a couple weeks. Guess what. It didn't last 2 days. Great for mall queens. Lol. This must be on the west coast because up in the northeast you cant keep a vehicle clean for even a day!
Sweet custom tail light bracket on the Ram!
HAHA! Yeah, it's not pretty but it works for now
Thank you for this amazing tip. I don't like the looks of ArmorAll on Jeep tires - besides it ends up all over the sides of my Jeep as the ArmorAll is slung off my 35s. Thanks for the Tom Woods custom driveshaft vid - I'm now getting those! Keep your videos coming!
Thank you for the awesome note! You rock!
And it smells lemony fresh
ready for the mall parking lot.. lol may wanna throw some 40's on that jeep.. looks like it miss "leg day"
Thank you for making this video Keep up the excellent work. I'm impressed.
Not to mention the tires will smell great lmao. Does the pledge eat the rubber though over time?
looking forward to some new of your offroad vid's
as far as i saw you tried the easier stuff learning about the jeep.
dunno but i like to watch while you do more and more difficult stuff getting better on the way.

Been doing that and other applications on my vehicles since I was 15 yr's old, I'm now 68.
Does it eventually eat through the rubber? Or is it safe for long term use?
Jason, you must be a single guy, can I live my single life thru you , lol
Not single but with how much travel I've been doing it felt like it.
When I run out of my tire shine I've learned the wife's pledge is history.......thanks For the video guy........Frog
Thanks for watching and saying hey!
I use to buy this tire gel in a green bottle from Autozone and it would last 2-3 weeks even after car washes and rain. Maybe it worked too good because I've never been able to find it again.
Must see mustang progress!!! Great vids as always
Look up (303) for nice looking tire spray
And Lemony fresh too! lol! sorry! couldnt resist!
EXACTLY!
Are you going to post any videos from Moab?
I'm trying to get them... and when I do, yes!
How long do your bfg 27" tires last, miles? Love your vids keep em coming!
Generic pledge on my 35s! Looks great! I'm usually so against tire shine products But this is a great protection for sun damage! It looks like it replenished some much needed oil to the rubber.
Beautiful Jeep brother.
Very cool. Thanks for the Pledge tip. Will give a try.
Good looking 'Stang. Subbed and will continue to watch.
thanks for sharing this! i never used armorall much for the reason that its a greasy mess. this seems like a great alternative. should look good on my 285 75 16s on my f250.
Love those rims and tires nice pick👍🏻
Thanks! I've been really happy with them.
Love it. Can't wait to do this to my cars now 💯
my baby was really dirty so I just sprayed it with pledge and wiped it with a hard plastic bristled brush... she shined up really nice, the pledge didn't build up either, I sprayed her the next day, makes them smell better as well
ThisIsSolution you do realized spraying pledge on ur car will damage ur paint right?....only for tires dude dont be stupid
Josh Madrigal car? I don't own a car

ThisIsSolution you dont fucken spray real baby. your fucken sarcasm. i dont buy it
Josh Madrigal my infant baby
hey my name is Alex and i just saw your video and i really liked it. if you don't mind me asking, what kind of wheels are you running on your wrangler and what size tire. they look really good on it. i have been looking for new wheels for a long time now and i didn't find any that caught my attention tell now sorry for the log message but just curious
The wheels are Rugged Ridge XHD 17x9"
www.ruggedridge.com/xhd-wheel-17x9-gun-metal-15301-30.html
Ok thank you
Pledge is great on a lot of things, if you ever go to a boat show it smells like lemon's because they wipe the boats down with it .
This is one of the best tips I've seen in awhile, thanks so much for sharing.
Of course and thank you so much for taking a moment and saying something nice!
thanks for sharing this. i love the look of pledge vs armorall
More videos on the dodge? I love that truck!
Marc Tilley I'm looking for an engine for that thing right now!
Nice tip it really does make the tires look good. What's the next mod? Maybe some LED's?
I haven't actually figured out what's next. Looking to get the tent on the roof for an adventure
Hey Jason, that’s a great trick! On a side note, I’m expecting to hear from a Jeep dealer today regarding a newer JK I’m looking to purchase....👍. I’ll keep you posted.....
Awesome Jeep my guy! Those tires and wheels definitely compliment the JK 👌🏾
Thanks!
It's out of style calling people "my guy" or "my dude". Unless you want to be considered the never filmed missing member of the Jersey Shore cast. You'll be known as the "Situations" best, but silent friend, Chad the "mitigation"
Works great and dry rots ur tires..quick..lets the uv light penetrate the rubber faster!!!! Great idea!!
Are you sure about that? I've been doing it for close to 20 years and never had that happen but you definitely shouldn't do it
How about long term. Do you think this is something we might dry out the rubber?
I've been using it for more than a decade on my different vehicles and haven't noticed anything like that.
thats a good tip, i think you should do more wheeling videos whit that amaizing jeep, like the one about your road trip but first get a light bar for the night jaja
He loves the word handsome. Great Video lol
Don t let any of that over spray get on your paint finish. other than that great idea and looks good. takes big money to own a nice rides like that. wow
Nice. I will try this. Thanks for the tip.
U changed my Life
First there was 'old gold' and someone figured it it looked good on tires. That led to special blends for rubber (like armor all.)
Pledge is the modern 'old gold' ...so yeah.
great tip. Thank you very much.
I'll try this on the wheel liners as well as black exterior trim , go down at your nearest dollar general or family dollar store instead of paying $4 to 8 dollars on others this looks like he bought new tires they look deeper blacker semi-satin dark little reflection sheen to it.
Could you also use pledge on the engine bay or dark vinyl around the vehicle that's faded?
Absolutely!
I use extra virgin olive oil..... great shine and smells great
And you drink the best beer on earth.....
Damn learned some new today, appreciate the info man.
looks nice not greasy. how long does it last.
A week or so... just about the right amount of time for me.
That jeep is 🔥bro
love this channel ..when are we going to see more on that ram 1500??
Trying to find a 5.7 Hemi for it now! Soon as I get it....ENGINE SWAP TIME!
nice ..cant wait
You should fix ram taillight, fix dents, and maybe if you want to remove wrap.and do led to it.
I like the taped in tail light and there are too many dents to fix and that is not a wrap... actual hand painted
Bro that jeep is fucken bad ass. Thanks for sharing.
People have always said not to use tire shine on tires because it accelerates dry rot. I wonder what the tire manufacturers say about spray wax.
I use the Lucas tire detailer now and it's the best.
