THANKS FOR BEING HERE! I'm going to put another link to the Amazon store here if you want to check this headlight resto kit out or snag a set of gloves or do any of your normal shopping simply starting from the AutoEdits Amazon store www.amazon.com/shop/autoedits to help support the channel.
I ENJOYED doing this for my old Prius. It made all the difference in the world! The lights were more effective, and the car looked new. Mind you, I still miss the old glass-covered lights of my 1990s Hondas, but this procedure really gives back in terms of usefulness if you're stuck with polycarbonate units. Mahalo!
Love quick projects like these. The drill kit for cleaning up headlights has never let me down. I like buying them on sale for about $9. Some times I'll pick them up cause the kit is great for other small projects around the vehicle.
Nice results on the headlight restoration. So what's next on the Rover? If it's running on factory 20s the largest tires size you can slap on are 30s 😉
There's a giant Magnaflow box on the floor that has some goodies for the Rover! I'm thinking of trying to fit 18" wheels with 30" all terrain tires but the internet seems to be confused if those will or wont fit on this particular vehicle.
Looks great! I’ve used those kits with great success in the past. You should get some Lamin-X clear film for the headlights now to make it last longer.
Of all the car oriented youtube channels I watch, you and Sarah-n-Tuned are definitely the most OCD when it comes to cleaning stuff, and its awesome :)
500 grit seems very aggressive. Thoughts on starting with 800? Also is that enough sealant to last? Chappelle did some lights (Suzuki?) and they were wasted again in a year. Please let us know how that holds up because we have two vans that need polished headlights.
The pitting absolutely needed the 500. I'm curious as you about if the UV clearcoat will last the advertised 2 years but the price point is acceptable for one to me.
Gm used that headlight removal process on their s10 style trucks in the late 90s, pretty cool to see a company bring back such a simplified method to hold a headlight bezel in. 2:12* time-lapse
@@AutoEdits a friend told me about it and I didn’t believe him. I bought some and it took all the yellow residue and left them like new. Just pray it on heavy and let it drip and wipe.
Great video. I've done it before and you do need to complete the steps. The first timevI tried it I thought I had ruined the headlights after the first sanding. PS- love the old Workmate.

I remember the first time I did this to a set of headlights and the 800 grid had me thinking I ruined my lights😂😂 great video 🤙
I totally understand that feeling 😂
Always love your content and reviews. Are you planning on making the new addition more off-road capable?
Why yes I am! Trying to keep it simple but making a list of fun things to do.
Great improvement!! Awesome video as always👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you! Cheers!

I’m just fortunate to have glass headlamps on my 1999 Toyota 4Runner.
Yeah, my Jeep lights won't ever need this treatment either LOL

Thanks for the tip!

I certainly appreciate that you can appreciate that silliness 😂
Whats that **cough, cough** MagnaFlow box you are using as a work bench?? :o)
Yeah... I already have the Magnaflow system on the Jeep and the Rover is about to get some sweet sounds as well.
Love the pebble as the 1 Grit reference !!! You Rock Jason.
I see what you did there... and love it!!! 😂🙌

Great video as always Jason! been watching for years and years
Awesome! Thank you!
i've heard toothpaste works too but i havent tried it yet.
I've heard that as well... but that junk is so expensive these days it's cheaper to get this kit LOL

Pretty satisfying difference!

Second! 😢
😂🙌
Love these medium effort - high reward projects. I ceramic coated after polishing my wife's Macan head lights.
I would like to try the ceramic but I've never seen that "on sale" in my price range yet...LOL
Looks good!!
I think so too... especially for the price!

Great video. Any thoughts on doing another welding video? Have you been doing any more learning with it? I’ve been thinking about learning to weld.
Give @thedirtheadshed a watch for some good welding tips!

Glad you noticed that thing... I love it!
Jason love your “OCD” makes great video content. Love all your videos.
I'm glad you think so... it's kind of embarrassing sometimes lol
Great Video!!!👌🤙👍
Hey thanks for that!!!
I’ve used the 3m kit on several cars over the years. It always delivers. Even with the most scaley yellowed lenses.
