      @enzoperruccio 5 лет назад +27

      @Skol dos Tio It's clear you know nothing about rigs of rods. It pre dates Beamng by 8 years and was developed by the same team. For a 2005 game it has very realistic soft body physics but graphics leave a lot to be desired. Car wise it has a ton of downloadable vehicles and maps, some more realistic-looking than others. Also, what's up with that "lego game" shit? I know the graphics are bad, but they're not THAT bad.

      EA "had" some serious development on DirectX 9 games back then, basically Pushing DirectX 9 to its limit. Games like Burnout Paradise and NFS Hot Pursuit 2010. But what's the drawbacks? Despite those two titles have Beautiful Damage they can't add customisation except Paint and Color. Mainly because of DirectX 9 limitations itself and the "would-be" Bloated game size if they did add customisation.

      No your not the only one

    • @sacr3
      @sacr3 5 лет назад +1

      Yes
      Doors popping off not because of physics but because they're programmed too at a certain point - same applies to hood, tires, etc. The entire frame of the car started crushing in like a can during every impact, which is no where near realistic.
      BeamNG seems to be the only one with accurate crash effects to this day. Where the front collapses in as it should during an impact, the cabin tends to begin to fold if the impact is too great or the vehicle is of an older design. Newer designed vehicles in BeamNG have more solid cabins and more controlled crushing, as more modern vehicles have.
      BeamNG tends to show you just how fragile vehicles are at 100kph, whereas nearly all other games make it seem like cars are bouncy and indestructible.

    One of the biggest mistakes in BeamNG drive: the front window doesn't break. But I think burnout paradise is more realistic for me

    • @-Burb
      @-Burb 4 года назад +1

      That’s how the windows are in real life too. All windows except the front shatter. The windshield has a plastic protection layer which prevents it from shattering though, which keeps occupants safe inside. So beamng is realistic in that way.

    First games were funny physics some later games had amazing and brutal crash physics and the recent games have not so good physics like nascar heat 2 or f1 2017 with really low attention to crashes the only somewhat recent game that is great is bemang drive with amazing crashes never seen before

    • @automojo2622
      @automojo2622  6 лет назад +5

      Yeah, most mainstream racing games today focus heavily on graphics and don't put much effort into the crash physics unfortunately. I can't wait until the day we have a game possessing both graphics/handling like Forza 7 and crash physics like BeamNG in a single game; which is totally possible, just needs to be done. I think it won't be long until we see something like that though, especially if the graphics and handling keep getting better in BeamNG, could make it there soon :-)

    • @Assassin-eh3du

      AutoMojo I hope that game does come quick note i think the reason why most racing games have bad crashes is because of brands on the cars and companies don’t like seeing their product destroyed

      @@automojo2622 im an player of both games. Does beamng have CAR SCRATCHES? yes it deforms cars very well but lack of detail makes it looking like an ordinary car game. Graphics are not that good compare to paradise (remaster) which has shaders , more contrast , lots of shadows , motion blur/blur , and anti ailasing , Sparks fly , and more debris. The crash slow mo camera of the whole car deforming and everything falling apart is the best ,

      @@basstrap6818 Effects are not what were're talking about here; we are talking pure physics simulation/realism and BeamNG is unmatched in this realm so far. Also, even that remaster version of Burnout did not bring any new physics to the table and as for the actual car model details, recent versions of BeamNG blows it away still with fully detailed engines and interior models that any version of Burnout Paradise can't hold a candle to.

      @@automojo2622 yes but beamng cars are too soft , i mean a wall crash in 40kph breaks the whole front , and burnout has the best crunching physics , just looking at your car deform and burnout has more parts and debris and also scratches , if youre talking about physics realism , then wheres the scratches in beamng?
