He pushes on his audience but knows boundaries. He handled the loss of their child well , and was instantly on whoever just ( I hope) nervously laughed. That's what makes him talented, that thin line between being a douche and being funny.
It's so great that they say they have 10 kids and not 9 because one passed away. Shows the love. Also, good on Russell. He handled the situation quite well. Classy guy.
He's funny but also very civilized. "What? It's not funny". I respect that. He feels others pain and know where to draw the line. Not every comedian does it. Not to mention that epic save! Goooood job.
Because it's inertia. Like you sit down to eat, even though the food seems suspicious, you still eat them. Later on you found it's dog poop but too late.
I believe it was Nervous laughing Like sometimes when you are not supposed to laugh in an uncomfortable situation the first thing you inadvertently do is laugh
They didn't die lol. No huge explosion of laughter, it wasn't quite that bad. It wasn't cool to laugh at on any level, but people are making that part worse than what it was.
Russel is evergreen cause he is all about live standup comedy. Very few things are drafted, most of the punches are real-time reactions from his audience. That's why everyone relates to his content. He checks the pulse of the audience and then gives them content that will drive them crazy. Unlike others who serve pre plated meals.
Irony is, being an Indian... Russell was surprised with Stanley 🤣 70-80 years ago, many households in India had like 10 kids. But yeah, times have changed since then and in this current age, it is a surprise!
@@IslenoGutierrez both of my grandparents (my moms parents & my dads parents) each had 13 kids, so yeah I have a lot of aunts & uncles & don't get me started on cousins lol

I think you're one of the funniest guys around and hearing your love for Jamaican food I wish you would come to Jamaica. You get all the Jamaican food you want. I moved here for the Jamaican food and of course the Heat. LOL
Russell Peter is not just very funny guy, he is a very nice and down to earth person. Have heard him in so many interviews and he is just so approachable.
My now deceased husband was a First Nation, status Indian, Ojibwa. He always said he is not aboriginal, not first nation, not any other name the whites gave to make themselves feel better. He said "I was born a native, an Indian, and am always an Indian". To this day I call the original Canadians "Indian" and have trouble calling people from India anything but "East Indian".
You dont know how all comedians do their show? They write their jokes then go on a tour deliver the same jokes in every show. Then for the next tour write new jokes and again do the same jokes . They dont have unlimited jokes.
Don't you just love it when he starts doing the Indian accent, it's a little too dramatized, but I'm pretty sure we have some folks that speak like that
To an untrained ear, it sounds the same anyway...you know how they do the valley girl accent for Americans? Its the same for Indians. Just stereotypes!
I loved the fact that the woman took all of it in stride and laughed it off. We need more people like them.
She has thick skin, took the jokes as a champ.
Yea, going by 2020 standards, jokes are considered as hate speech
we dont actually need more people like them. 12 are right fkin there!

Not so in real life.

But the dead kid did catch him off guard. he was lost for a good 10 seconds.
@@hamidwt yeah but the difference is, I'd still be standing there stammering, and he moved on quickly and took it down a different avenue.

That's experience and we all should keep that "thin line" in our minds.
You observed well 👍
Where did she say that?
It's so great that they say they have 10 kids and not 9 because one passed away. Shows the love.

Well said 😊
There is nothing classy here. Its just the comedy man. Enjoy and leave that is all. I had watched 6 of his shows since 2007.
Russell got emotional at 5:47.
That's beautiful that you held the situation very well and didn't hurt this person.
Thumbs up
@Nnamdi Achebe fixed it😁
He's a father himself and he loved his father quite a lot. Also, Indians in general are very emotional about family
It's great he mentioned he had 10 kids even though one of them sadly passed away

That made this whole clip awkward/ not funny 😢
He's a real asshole in this clip. Not funny at all. He made the woman so uncomfortable.

I really give Russell credit for holding his composure after hearing how they lost a child.

This guy is a savage comedian. If I ever go to one of his shows, I swear I will seat way back😂😂😂. He gets most of his material from his audiance🤣
Totally agree Yet he’s the best of them all tbh 😂
He did not start out that way. On his earlier shows he rarely roasted the crowd.
That Seminole/Semenole reference was damn quick & on point! How quickly he came up with something like that 🤣
