I know you've thrown a lot of trilogy, but have you ever tested the westside discs sword? (I recommend the tournament ones) One of the most effortless drivers ever. Really throws like a fairway with tons of glide and lot of usage versatility with angles and lower power shots as well. Another one everyone should test is the westside discs sorcerer, just magic... both are just effortless distance if you throw like 300-350ft and the sorc is nice for forehanding as well.
When I started slowing everything down, I finally started getting better. I don’t remember his name, but there’s a disc golf pro that has the slowest run up you’ll ever see. But he has really good consistent form through that entire run up. He can also launch the really far. so I started kind of emulating this and immediately noticed improvement. And since then I’ve been able to speed up my run up just a little bit overtime to get a little bit more distance out of it. Used to try to overpower the desk and throw it as hard as I could. I think a lot of people are doing this and slowing down is 100% the best fix.
Can you try to describe the feeling of exploding that isn't tensing up. I'm struggling to find what "exploding" feels like because it's always just me muscling up and slowing down
My furthest flying disc is my craves and I can regularly get them to 380-420 ft and a lot of ppl in tournaments always ask me why I don't throw something that a 9 speed or some other distance driver and I have to show them that just cause the speed number is higher doesn't mean it will go further. I also have a slower walk up which always confuses ppl because they say it looks like I'm not even trying to throw hard which I'm not because if I actually try to throw hard it messes up my timing 100% of the time.
Yeah what do you do when your run up is just bonafide broken ... Standstills is 400-440' ( disc and wind dependent) and your run up is like 20-40' less. PS I've only ever had a 3 step run up, so it's already "basic" and I've already tried run up efforts from about 10-100 % and I can't seem to match my standstills regardless of the run up?
at 61 years old, my longest throw is from a standstill position is 250 feet. my max average distance is 225 feet. when I started playing in June 2022 I could throw max distance of about 175 or so. I can only handle 7 speed fairway drivers ( River / Maul ) the only distance driver I can throw with my arm speed is an Innova Beast ( DX plastic ) which is oddly weird? Lol's But I cannot find a 10 speed distance driver with that exact mold that has at least 6 or 7 Glide like the River or Maul?? that seems so strange to me? How can I handle a 10 speed Beast, but nothing else that is 10 speed or higher?

I am out here trying to get from 350 golf distance to 450 golf distance.
