The old Russian Culture was incredible, the composers, the Ballet, the artists...were amazing...not so much any more. You cannot beat all the classical music out of Russia. It speaks to the soul. Tchaikovsky, the mighty five Mily Balakirev (the leader), César Cui, Modest Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and Alexander Borodin
It is amazing how wonderful Russian classical music is!!!!.. and Russian literature... and Russian paintings... and Russian ballet... and Russian architecture... Talented and passionate Russian people deserve better than where they are now!!!!!!
@@danielblaze4112 you like to make assumptions and come to conclusions that are not accurate. It is not a summ of zero, so by telling that Russians have great artists, painters, composers or architects I do not mean that others don't. Thank you, and have a great day
Listen to the gorgeous tones of brass, strings, percussion, etc. in Ravel's orchestral version of Pictures at an Exhibition. Then imagine it as a piano piece, as Mussorgsky wrote it. It's like going from the black & white farm house in Kansas to the splashy palace in Oz with flying monkeys and talking lions.
At exactly 1:48:35 I saw that my battery was 1% so I quickly ran to charge my phone as the music got dramatically more aggressive but luckily I was able to plug it in before it turned off

The continent produced much wonderful music during this period, but personally, I feel that it was the Russian artists who turned silver into gold.
I always thought the same thing but thought that I was the only one...
Same with painting in my opinion.
And novels
The cherries on a magnificent cake.
I am RUSSIAN.
Respect from the USA. Love it 😍
This is music that transcends time and space.
All country have their great artists and great culture, no only the Russia!
@@danielblaze4112 Where in my comment you saw any mention or implication that the ONLY Russia has great culture?
@@haykyedoyan5897
Don't worry, stay calm, everything is fine! I would add to your comment that it is not just Russia, that's all !! 😁
@@danielblaze4112 you like to make assumptions and come to conclusions that are not accurate. I am very calm and I do not understand why just asking for clarifications made you think that I am angry or upset. I agree with you that all countries have great artists and great culture. It is not a summ of zero, so by telling that Russians have great artists, painters, composers or architects I do not mean that others don't.
Thank you, and have a great day
@@haykyedoyan5897
Yes, I agree too. I like Russian musicians and architecture and they are great Russian artists.
Thank you, best regards!
Muchas gracias Madre Rusia
Listen to the gorgeous tones of brass, strings, percussion, etc. in Ravel's orchestral version of Pictures at an Exhibition. Then imagine it as a piano piece, as Mussorgsky wrote it. It's like going from the black & white farm house in Kansas to the splashy palace in Oz with flying monkeys and talking lions.
OMG.... I'm a super fan of Emerson, Lake and Palmer and I've just understand everything listening to this playlist. wow
Seems like an anthology of favorite pieces and some fabulous new discoveries I somehow missed. Thanks Halidon!
Beautiful musics..
Loves from Turkey...👋
wonderful Russian music...Thank You for sharing
Respect from India.
What?
Kisses to India
I can't imagine an Indian listening to Russian classical music !
Listening to this while reading Anna Karenina ♥
At exactly 1:48:35 I saw that my battery was 1% so I quickly ran to charge my phone as the music got dramatically more aggressive but luckily I was able to plug it in before it turned off
¡Viva Rusia!
Modest Mussorgsky is the composer that i appreciate probably the most. Too bad he died in poverty. The world is always so harsh on gentle souls
Wonderful! Greetings from Brazil! \o Hail Russia: great nation, people and culture!
Oi Brasil! )
Was great*
Culture? Maybe. People? not so much

Merci🐻🐻🐱

I love the main theme of Pictures at an Exhibition. It immediately catches my attention and never lets go.
Thanks from Ireland.

Czechia -- Zelenka, Stamitz, Dvorak, Martinu
Denmark -- Nielsen
Sweden -- Atterberg
Norway -- Grieg
UK -- Robert Simpson
Hungary -- Bartok
USA -- Gershwin, Copland, Bernstein, Adams
It's hard to classify Liszt and Mahler, but they certainly weren't Russian.
We Americans ended up with Rachmaninov and Stravinsky as ours.
OK -- the Russian contribution to classical music is irreplaceable.
Listening to this while I read "Crime and punishment" by Dostoyevsky ❤️
i love this music
My favorite song is the unnaturally long clapping before the dance of the sugar plum fairy
LITVINOVSKY: my first conscious intro to this composer, thanks so much! the opening melody sounds like what "would you do if i sang out of tune? "

Haha, he certainly rocks 😉 we thought we'd let you know that he's just released a new suite for strings, "Tales of the Magic Tree": ruclips.net/video/IvO__uNG3ew/видео.html. We may be biased, but we're absolutely obsessed with the sixth and eighth movements. We wonder what you think?
Night on Bald Mountain fascinates me since my childhood when I used to watch Disney's Fantasia...
