Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm originally from Long Island, NY. My fiance, Zac, and I decided to put our things in storage and travel the country, starting August 2022. Crazy, right? We'll be sharing all of our adventures right here on my RUclips channel, so be sure to subscribe to follow along!

As a news reporter and anchor that left the industry I can totally relate. It’s just part of your identity. Some how it makes me feel better to say “former news reporter” than to pretend it never existed. Even though it’s been years!

You speaking to those veterans got me. I know we're so thankful for their service, but the mental and emotional aspect of seeing war and combat like you said does different things to different people. Seeing that veteran's tears was just such an honest reflection of the experience there, the friends, the loss... all of it. I teared up, too! Also, amazing book. I'll have to look for it.

I'm happy for you that you will hopefully be able to have a normal sleep schedule in the future. It's so much healthier to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep and not waking up at 2am.
I've never heard of the book Chico's Promise. I find stories about dogs saving their humans so heartwarming. Sounds like it will be a great read! I'm going to put that on my reading list for the future.

I remember my last job I would go to work anxious everyday as well. I’ve suffered from different forms of anxiety for many years so when I quit it was nice but I also knew I would never see anyone again and it was really sad. I can’t wait to see this new chapter of your life it’s so exciting ☺️

You should be so proud. Someone with your work ethic, skills and discipline will always be ok. Just knowing that you should feel free to do whatever you want. I’m 43 now and used to work an overnight shift in my 20s. It was a sad time and all I remember is how stressed I was trying to hang out with my friends and be “normal”. Lol. Now I work for myself and do what I want. So much better. Congratulations! 🎊🍾🎉

My family member who is a veteran made a good point- if you see someone wearing a shirt, hat, pin, etc that says “veteran” they will most likely very much appreciate you thanking them for their service.
I think you did an amazing job interviewing that veteran Clancy. I was tearing up. You were very empathetic and asked the right questions in a situation that is not easy to be in.

I'm originally from Columbus Ohio and this was back in mid 2000s but there was this morning news reporter that I seriously adored and felt like my mornings wouldn't be the same without her...she got sick and got cancer and almost died.
I've watched you before you moved to Ohio but after you got the jobs there it made me think of her...and then when you kept having random health problems due to your schedule...it made me think of her again.
I really hope you look back knowing the time people spent with you during their mornings probably lit up more than one life, but I also hope you know that however fondly you remember your time there, that you never regret it and remember that your life is not worth a job...not even a dream job.
I'm excited for your new adventures 🤗

Congratulations Clancy! My husband and I decided to cut loose and travel when the last of 7 children went off to college. We bought an rv and traveled for 4 years until my husband’s parents
began to experience serious health issues and required attention. We traveled the country and it was absolutely amazing! You’re going to love this journey ❤️
