- The truth is that I left and quit my job as a tv news reporter just a month in to being one. This decision has been an ongoing journey and was due to many things that were happening behind the scenes. Just remember that everything that glitters isn't gold and just because a person is smiling does not mean they are happy. Here is my truth. Here is my story. I went through something similar when I majored in journalism. I was being taught to just list facts and to put as many facts in the beginning of a piece because most people don't read full articles and that's when I knew news journalism wasn't for me
Literally how journalism students are taught😭 I love that today there are so many different avenues of journalism and if you are into storytelling, news is not the only way to express that interest. What do you see yourself doing now?
I went a whole other direction to environmental science. But that why I love commentary channels and video essays! It's so much more than what event is happening but like why, who does this effect and how?
Good for you! So much of TV news is glamorized but... It's mainly glorified script reading... TV anchors arent really journalists they are pretty much "person-actors" or something.. It's eye-opening when you get a peak behind the curtain..

As a current college student going back and forth in my mind on is the news area for me or do I want to go into more entertainment where I can be myself this is what I really needed ! Thank you so much.
I am so glad that my video helped! I wish this was something I would've had, but I would recommend taking an internship at a news station and seeing how you like it first. It may still be for you initially even if it was not for me!

This is actually so funny because I didnt know this work fact. while watching one of your latest videos I thought you sounded just like a news reporter and you would do really good with that job! LOL
Literally everyone tells me I sound like a news reporter😭 it's not even intentional😂😂😂
I'm 24 and I'm a lawyer, I finished my master in 2021. I never wanted to be a "regular" lawyer but I still tried the firm life. In 1 year I changed jobs 4 times... I just did not like what I was doing. After doing 3 full time internships I finally landed a job at a tech company (something I never thought I would be doing) and I've been here since July. I work crazy hours (from about 9:30 to 19:30-20:30) and it's very intense but I couldn't be happier!
Even if I didn't like some of my jobs, all my past experiences have contributed to getting me to where I am now. Never be sorry for trying things out. We're so young and expecting us to find our path when we're still figuring out who we are is crazy... I'm so happy for you Toni!!

I graduated from college and worked at ESPN Chicago for one month and then I quit the job and the field ever since because it was so terrible!
Literally soooo many people leave. Tv news is NOT as glamorous as it seems.

Not saying that neglect is the case here and this is not meant to judge but please people dont get a pet expecting to fix your problem if you dont even have time to decorate your apartment, out of experience neglect can be very harmful for the prt

I've always wanted a pet. Once I moved I said I was getting one. My cat Nala is very much loved and literally travels everywhere with me flights and all. She is good I promise. Laying right next to me as we speak. I would never neglect a pet.
@@ToniBryceTV that is really good to hear, I really didn't mean to attack you because I didn't think that you could do that to your cat, you seem way to caring for others to do something like that I just wanted to address it in case someone was thinking about a pet for their own benefit without thinking about what that could do to the pet. I would love to see your cat in one of your videos btw cuz I absolutely adore cats
@@elkedekievit732 No, I totally understand because a lot of people treat pets like toys and not like living things that require a lot of time, patience, and energy. I like halfway across the country from my family and friends, so getting a pet was something I knew I wanted once I moved here. I honestly wanted another pet for awhile, but I knew I had to get my own place in order to do so. Once, I got my first apartment, I was looking to adopt. She is in a few of my Tiktoks and in the background of a lot of my commentary videos lol
For someone so young- no offense at all, but why the heavy foundation? I am in an older generation, but you are covering up pretty skin with multi layered make up. I know the Kardashians bake & all that b$, but you just don't need this, IMO. I live in southern California, and see lots of plastic surgery on girls in their 20's. They get amount of work done that women used to get in their mid fifties! As a general rule of thumb, young ladies- don't touch your faces! Unless you have given it much, much, thought, don't mess around with- even the temporary stuff :(
