53 year old dude, here. Had my first kid at 32 (they are 18 and 21 now). Absolutely NO reason to rush in to being a parent. If you want kids, have them when you're ready. If you don't want kids, don't have them. And most importantly, don't let ANYONE else tell you what you should or should NOT be doing in regards to having kids!

  • @mtndewdev

I personally have never had the desire to have kids and I think it should be normal for women not to desire them at a young age or at all without having people try to tell them "you will change your mind". Also in regards to the negativity you got towards your bridesmaids, I actually found it inspiring and if I ever got married I think I would do the same!

I didn't have my first until I was 30 and am so glad I waited. I soaked up every second of freedom because once you have kids, you have none! 😆 Love them will all my heart, but it is hard work!!

I have to laugh at Zac saying “two years” on the baby timeline, because I feel like that’s a lot sooner than he might think 😅 I had my first baby at 33, and my husband was 37. I love that it’s more normalized to have kids a bit later. For the most part, we have more time than we think. Whenever you do choose to have kids, you two will be great parents! 😊💞

I feel like for me in general having a baby in my 30's is definitely physically harder than it would have been in my 20's, but mentally & emotionally it's easier because I'm more mature & empathetic than I was in my younger days. Everyone should make their own choice that's best for them & their future (baby/babies) :-) That's all that matters.

  • @Kaytka

Having a baby is so life changing. It’s GOOD. But it’s not easy. Enjoy the time you have with just you and Zac now. Because once you have a baby, your prospective on life changes and your world revolves around your child. And while that sounds overwhelming it’s not. You’re just so in love with this tiny human that you created with the love of your life. But truly, enjoy this time. It’s okay to be content where you are. And in two years you both may decide to wait longer. Or you may already have a little one before then. There’s no right or wrong. Becoming parents is hard because you want to do what’s right and you don’t always know what is best, but also so so rewarding at at once because you are so in love with your child and nothing can replace that feeling.

You don't need to feel bad for not being ready for kids at 26. I'm 32 and I enjoyed my 20s, moved a lot, changed jobs, traveled, etc. My husband and I are only just talking about having kids. I also went to grad school part time while working for a few years. I just moved and changed jobs again, but finally feeling more ready to settle where we just moved now. The new opportunities you are getting right now seem so exciting. I always have to remind myself to live in the moment and not think about the past or future so much so that's what I would say for you as well, live in this moment and enjoy this time and your travels coming up.

It’s a different feeling, going to school and working, then going to being unemployment. It’s a lot more work trying to get a job then I remember. I've never wanted kids, and similar to you I've never been one of those "hand over the baby" kinds of people. If you two make the decision not to have children, there's no shame in that. The value of our lives isn't determined based on whether or not we procreate, or at least it shouldn't be. There's so much to experience in life, there's also no shame in waiting several more years to have kids if that's what you want.

They got married at 26 and then at age 32, they decided to have a baby - that child, my granddaughter, is now 11 and is the light of their life. They can't have any more children due to medical issues, and my daughter now says, "I can't imagine my life without her, and my life before her seems so irrelevent now". Her hubby agrees.. And instead of taking pictures of yourself all the time, trust me, your baby's pictures will be the ones you cherish.

I can totally see why people choose not to have bridesmaid. Sometimes it’s more stressful and is just another aspect of the wedding to over look. And it’s really expensive a lot of the time to be a bridesmaid. I had bridesmaids and don’t regret it, but can 100% understand your POV

For quick relief of a sty, steep a black tea bag for a few minutes. Then when it is just warm, hold it in your sty. Do this multiple times a day until it goes away.

  • @elainacipcic8742
    @elainacipcic8742 2 года назад

An old-timey remedy for a sty is gold. Every time I’ve gotten a sty, I’ve rubbed a gold ring across the sty and towards the opening of my tear duct (inner corner of your eye, not towards your ear, if that makes sense 😂). I slowly drag the ring over it a few times in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and I wake up the next morning good as new!

Congrats on the Newsweek opportunity, albeit sans compensation. The exposure and writing credit will be worth loads! I love that you're not having bride's maids. I was the maid of honor in many weddings and while it was an honor to be chosen, I would have preferred to be able to truly enjoy the wedding of my loved ones/friends. It's your life---don't let these keyboard-courage ninjas impact your mindset in any way. So happy to see you upping your YT business game--you deserve to be compensated well for your great work. As for baby 'fever'---you'll get there. My friends all waited until around 29/30/31 and they were thrilled with that time frame. It's an individual choice. Wishing you and Zac improved health and continued happiness. xoxox

I didn’t have a bridal party. Married in 2020. And it was so great. Such a great decision. Your friends/ family get to enjoy the wedding as guest and don’t have to worry about the cost of buying dresses and suits. Our wedding coordinator loved it. Made her job easier. It’s more time for you and Zach to take pictures. It’s just easier. The planning is easier. I’m so shocked there was such a reaction. I didn’t get any backlash from family and friends. 🙄 (I’m also 36 and maybe that’s why lol). Literally the last one to get married. Excited for your wedding!

Another bonus of the Kindle... Where can you store all the physical books? Especially for you if you are traveling...imagine trying to carry books around in the car? Yes, It can be amazing to have a real book in hand, however, there are trade offs . Definitely a lot of benefits to you living a quasi-nomadic life soon! Using the Kindle is amazing, and yet ___so is having a tangible book. So moderation is the key here ! Happy reading com6l

Hey Clancy , everyone has a different time frame for buying a house, having kids and getting married. I got married at 19, husband was 21 , I continued with college as he was in the marine corps , now we are about to celebrate 6 years in December, and we still haven’t thought about buying a house or having kids. We are simply enjoying where we are in life and in no rush for the rest because we know it will come in it’s time . We are now 27 and 25 , it’s going to be okay!

I didn’t have bridesmaids, garter toss, caking cutting or toasts. I did have a traditional wedding dress, walk down the aisle and ect. It’s YOUR wedding with YOUR fiancé, you need to make yalls day what you want. I also had friends have so many bridesmaids because they couldn’t decide who to cut and that made her stressful organizing the dresses and makeup and events haha.

Oh my goodness… poor Zac putting him on the spot like that about babies 😂 you’re lucky he’s a good sport about it 🤣
I never had a maternal instinct either until now I’m 30. A lot of women are so desperate to have children in part because they have a need to be loved unconditionally and are unable to generate self-love themselves. Women have babies to try and fix relationships too. Embrace that you are confident and secure 😊 we are not obligated to have children as women and it’s never something that should be forced, but if it’s meant to happen it will be on YOUR timeline, not in comparison to your friends. Just enjoy your 20s 😎👍🏼

I’m a gymnastics coach and on Friday I put some of the girls in one man stunts to try flying like a cheerleader & afterwards I told my boyfriend I kind of want to have kids sooner than I thought. I’m about to turn 24 and I want to be able to have them grow up a little and be at least 4 or 5 when I start teaching them gymnastics dance & cheer stuff. I want to be fit and able to show them to teach them and lift them in one man stunts. Im lucky my boyfriends older than me he’s turning 27 so maybe we can have kids in a couple years. You’re boyfriend reminds me of mine I’m like the happy one trying to have a good time & they make fun and tease us but it’s just so hilarious.
