The original S2 packaging sure as hell didn't have a fast charger included in the box, the tech wasn't even invented yet

The S II came with a black nondetachable charger, similar to the Galaxy S phone. Glad someone else spotted that. Its just been repackaged so its not "unopened"

was gonna say that since i remember my s3 back in the day came with a non detachable micro usb charger where you couldnt unplug the cable.

I had this phone from 2011 until early 2016 and it was amazing! I broke it after three years and since I loved it so much I bought another identical one, I just couldn’t leave it!! The only reason I stopped using it is because it didn’t support the latest Android upgrades :(
Now phones are a lot better quality overall, but I feel like when this came out it was one of the best phones available ✌🏻 thank you for this review, it really made me nostalgic! 🔝 💕

When my dad bought his SII, it came in a much larger box with a much more premium finish & some glitter to maybe symbolise stars.
It had an outer sleeve & then a flap to open the box. I also loved the original boot animation
I bought this phone when it came out in 2011 you got scam this is not a seal original phone this is a refurb. When you first open the phone it's meant to have a plastic so the phone does not shake around. And the charger meant to come with a USB as well as the charger USB is not removable. So they include a USB with it and it's meant to come with documents. And the battery is not meant to be installed on the phone when you open it it will come sealed With a plastic and then you have to put it inside the phone

Way back then, the Galaxy SII was an amazing phone. I was using either a HTC Desire HD or a Motorola Milestone, and when I saw this in the store, I had to get it immediately. It was the first time I laid eyes on an AMOLED phone, and the animated wallpapers blew me away.
This was a beast in it's time. Had this in white color and came in a huge box in India.. Had its EFS screwed while flashing roms on it 😅

My s2 is still working perfectly fine. I own it for 5 years and it has done the job well, i bought an s8, i'm not using it "features" or so, i just need a bigger battery, and a lot more of memory, which was 4 gigs. I can't hate the s2. Even if it's slow, just like i love my child.

I miss old phones. Obviously it’s due to being younger,but having a new Samsung phone back then was life. I’d wake up happy everyday for 2 years just staring at and appreciating my phone haha.

Nice video! I haven't had much experience with the Samsung S2, but I think the software issues can be fixed with a custom ROM. It's not going to improve the camera and display, but it will make the phone snappier and have better battery life!
maybe an old version of Cyanogenmod or AOKP
yh flashing a custom of a later android would defo help the speed. the problem was android generally wasnt that greatly optimized especially old samsung phones which used to be notorious for slowing down back then

I installed a huge third party battery on mine and decided to install Lineage OS to get the latest Android version. Then in rooted it and deleted all junk and did some performance tweaks. I use it as a kind of universal smart remote now and I'm pretty satisfied. It's better reusing an old phone than throwing it away.

This was fantastic phone when it released. I remember wanting Galaxy Ace for Christmas as it was great phone at that time, but got S2 instead, and I was shocked how ahead of it's time it looks and feels compared to other phones. It felt huge, which is funny considering the sizes of phones nowadays. Great memories for my first real modern smartphone.
Galaxy Ace lol got updates from android 2.2 to 2.3.4 but (gt-s5830i)came with 2.3.6

Fast charging didn't exist (the charger was black) and the box used to be made from wood. Not a new phone.
Fast charging didn't exist but not everywhere had black chargers and/or wood boxes. It is definitely not new though. For instance I'm in NZ and we always got white chargers, up until the S8 and Note 8
I can't remember the S2 having a wooden box.

Progress is real, I didn't own a galaxy S2 but my father's friend did and I was lucky I tried it once, damn I loved it and that's what got me into android in the first place. Phones have gotten really way better like at least 10 times better since the first galaxy flagships and I can only wonder what would phones look like in the next decade, what OS would they run ? What new features would they have ? It gets me excited everytime I ask myself these questions.

The adaptive fast charger plug wasn't around back then and I believe it just shipped with a back small wall plug/cable. Used to have the galaxy S2 and that plug haven't been invented yet.

7 years from now you can make a similar video about the Galaxy S8. The S2 was my first Samsung phone after the IPhone and I loved it. It was way ahead of the IPhone, just as it is now.
i used it for over 4 years , and it was still working , the moment i upgraded i put it in a shelf, and a couple weeks later i tried to boot it up and it had completely died .
I bought a 4s instead of that back in 2011, after 7 years my 4s still holding up very nicely
