- In this video Corin is working on some Cedar bonsai so we catch up with him in the studio. Cedar can make brilliant bonsai subjects when styled and can be really quite rewarding. All the trees in this video have been styled from nursery stock cedar bonsai with one being brought from eBay !! Check that video out below.

Thanks for coming so far Corin, really enjoyed the night and great to see it finished. Was amazing how it just all clicked with the final twist of the decided apex, art that is! . Looking forward to visiting one day, thanks again!

I love your work
The before and after is stunning. I have to wait until about 4 feet of snow melts. (Minnesota - USA)
Gonna re-pot this cedar soon this Spring !
Awesome to see a large Blue atlas. And that alternative front puts that lower branch at the rear and adds a lot of additional depth which makes it seem a lot more mature. Also nice "Rust brown" Spinnaker :)
Wow! I have just come across this artform, its amazing to see this happening. I was always interested in Bonsai trees as a kid!
Really appreciate your teaching. Always looking forward to your next post!
Un grand merci à vous pour le partage!
Corin is the best. The best!
I love the new front that you “discovered”!
Inspirational videos.
And perfect intro, you should make that your intro style. Keep it up
The base of your cedar of Lebanon 🇱🇧 Bonsai makes the General Sherman Red Wood 🪵 Tree 🌲 look like a Dwarf, 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Another fantastic tutorial Corin I for one can’t wait to see all the trees you have worked on in these fantastic videos in one place see you in September ;-)
Brilliant tree, thank you for sharing 💚
Spectacular
defiantly with you on that new front! its great how you can own a tree for a while but suddenly see it in a new light.
Do appreciate the follow-ups on trees in various stages of development. Beautiful work. Appreciate your very personal, understated, matter-of-fact manner of presentation. In the States but hope to visit. Best from Boston.
Amazing video as always, a Scots Pine detailed video on pruning, developing and wiring would be great at some point.
Totally agree on the ‘new’ front being the better one! Better base and flow of the tree
Definitely a better front. Go for it. KUP. Thanks for sharing.
nice again, i vote for change of the view side
Yes the other side of the blue atlas does look much nicer. There’s often more than one option in bonsai. Looking forward to see what you decide to do with it. Great video btw 👍🏻
Definitely a better front the trunk movement is better and it shows the size better just style that top a bit
Beautiful trees 😊😊
Like the new grunt 👍👌🙂
I love the cedar of Lebanon. I especially love the new front. It's way better!
Thanks Corin. Nice trees.
Lovely cedar 👍👍 when is the best time to work on cedar ?
Pruning the beard before the Bash, Corin? 😉
maybe, have to sharpen my scissors !
@@greenwoodbonsaistudio I'm sure it will invigorate your presentation. 😂
Corin-here in the US it is almost impossible to find these cedars without grafts at the base and the same appears true for the UK where it seems Hinoki cypress are almost always grafted. On the Hinoki the graft always seems to result in a disfigurement with a largely overgrown base below the graft junction. How are the Blue Atlas cedar in this respect? Do they show this disparity between the base and trunk or do they develop at about the same rate and eventually the graft union disappears under the bark? I have wanted one of these for years but always held back due to this issue.
As with all grafted trees, you get good ones that stay good, bad ones that get better and bad ones that stay bad !
@@greenwoodbonsaistudio Sounds like the premise for a movie-the good, the bad, and the ugly!
Help. Mine was ok untill a couple of weeks ago but all thr needles have gone yellow and have dropped 😡
